To be honest, I can't really see how the disadvantages to Manual AA are outweighed by the advantages unless the burst damage is stupidly high. Also, the change of constant AA to target a single plane seems a bit pointless if this goes through. If you were already working on this, I don't see why you slap them with the increased lethality first. You'll end up having to completely rework pretty much all plane health values and/or AA damage values to get anything even remotely resembling balance.

ST, Naval Training Center, free Premium Consumables and improvement of the matchmaker.

To quote myself from another thread regarding the re-grinding mechanic: Erm, yeah, this sounds like a bad idea. I know WG are in a bit of a rut when it comes to what to give the player who has everything, but an even greater advantage over everyone else is not the ideal gift idea. I already get ed hard enough by old-timers with higher skill captains and/or OP premiums that are no longer available. There's only so much of a pounding I can take before it gets too much. -

Izumo, but that just tells you how much that ship sucked for me

PSA - No cvs in clan brawls after all

Our build server uses that exact sound effect when a build fails. You've just retraumatized me. -
Are you grinding (or will grind) USS Tier IX DD "Benham" for 800 "Fuel Tokens"?

Nah. Between vacation, fixing stuff in the house and having a kid on the way towards the end of the month, I have more than enough on my plate. -
I've been arguing for a while now that WG should just acknowledge that the multiple runs per squadron design is a failure, and move towards something that works more like the RTS cvs: Single attack per sqadron with more alpha damage, but longer turnaround time. But it would essentially be a second rework, requiring them to start the entire balancing process from scratch.

I'd put my money on your gfx card overheating. That tends to give wonky graphical issues. That, or it's in the process of dying.

Eh. I'll play Railway Empire instead.

Sales are heavily regulated, and it's fairly probable that if they didn't have their cultural history but were introduced to the market now, they would have been banned. And I wouldn't be surprised if we see a total ban on tobacco products in many of the European countries within a couple of decades. Yes, that's the point. That's why we have legislation specifically designed to protect customers from the predatory practices of corporations. Ifthe industry actually cared about people, we wouldn't be having this debate because loot boxes wouldn't existm

Yes, although I wouldn't use exactly that phrasing. Yes. That's how a lot of laws work. They're designed to protect people with one or other limitation on self-control from themselves. I don't have a problem with addictive behaviour. So for me, the regulations that prevent me from buying beer after 20:00 (18:00 on saturdays) is occasionally an annoyance, e.g. when I've been working late and really would like to pick up a beer on the way home. But at the same time, it's a demonstrable fact that Norwegian alcohol regulations reduce the health and economic problems related to alcohol abuse. So I live with occasionally being frustrated by alcohol regulations because it's overall healthy for society. The same thing applies to gambling regulations. It's there to prevent people with reduced impulse control from bankrupting themselves. Or regulations against predatory lending practices. Legislations is chock full of laws that are designed around that principle. Is it occasionally irritating for people who have perfectly adequate self control? Yes. But it's still overall better for society.
-
Then you're not the kind of person this kind of legislation exists to protect. Good for you.

I already bought the Jean Bart with the current coupon, and I still hace almost enough coal to buy Yoshino right away. That said, I'm going to keep it on hold until I see what the Siegfried is like and what it's sold for.
-
For the same reason that we ban or regulate a lot of other things that are harmful. I have no need to buy heroin, but I still think it should be banned. We have laws regulating addictive products to protect people who are susceptible to addictive behaviour. It's as simple as that.

That's the number of surface ships currently in the game. It's just a shoddily written article.

I pretty much just have to echo @Ace42X here. Izumo isn't objectively bad as such, but she's more than a bit of a pain. I could never really get her to work for me, even after the last round of buffs. I eventually grew tired of really trying and just burned through a lot of exp boosters to get the grind over with. And now I have the Yamato, and I'm not going back to Izumo (If I need to take a T9 IJN BB out for a spin, there's a certain stupidly OP one in my port that I can use instead ) Stock, she's sluggish as hell, and her guns are insanely trollish. The high velocity and flat arcs means a lot of shells end up overpenning, or bouncing off decks that higher trajectory shells would have dropped through. I tend to disagree that she really serves as a preparation for Yamato. Her gunnery is just too different. She actually works fairly well played similarly to Amagi. She can kite really well, her over-the-shoulder firing angles are excellent while giving you a pretty much perfectly angled armour belt. TBH, at least the penetration buff was pretty meaningless. A ship that suffers as much from overpens as she does didn't need a pen buff. Improved normalization angles would have helped her a lot more.

The post he replied to was about main guns.

Move the captain away from it, and you can see the stats without IFHE. Ranger has 53mm HE bomb pen regardless.

Secondaries : Cruiser HE power at 10 km or not ?
Uglesett replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
While your actions may very well be match deciding, your win rate suggests that they are not deciding in your team's favour. -
That doesn't really matter. BBs have large enough calibre to pen pretty much any hull and deck plating they hit, while even with IFHE they're not going to pen anything but the weakest armour belts. And spending four skill points just so you might be able to HE pen the belt of cruisers a couple of tiers lower than you just isn't worth it. Even the smallest calibre BB guns that can face T10 matchmaking will pen 63mm of plating without IFHE. There's what, one or two ships that have some fairly small sections thicker than that? Never going to be worth the points investment.
-
I should probably have noticed the word "midsections", and possibly just read what's actually written instead of what my tired brain saw Long day.
-
Assuming you don't get citadelled to bits before the torps arrive... Her armour scheme is... not ideal for brawling.
-
Erm.... If you get similar hit rates with BB secondaries as you get with cruiser main batteries I've got some bad news for you
-
No. Shells and rockets only.
