    3rd party advertisements are coming?

For product placement. Soon you can pick up a discounted Roma with an Anheuser-Busch themed version of the Kobayashi camo.
  2. Their homies all agree they really look good in black
  3. Eh. I already have most of the ships available in the containers that I'm actually interested in. And the risk of getting a CV I'm wholly uninterested in (I mean, I already have the one and only premium CV anyone could ever want ) is a bit too high. Looking at it, there's a 60% chance of getting a ship I don't want from the first container... I'll pass, thank you. Might pick up the Perth, though.

    Yolo mode...

While chances are it will end up being a cluster in most cases, it's different enough from the other maps/game modes that I'm willing to give it a shot just for the variation.
  5. I have the Dunkirk brothers on Minotaur and the RN DD line (currently Lightning) respectively. Honoré-brothers, I have one on Aigle and I think the other on the French cruiser line (so, currently Charles Martel) The two Pan-Asians are on the DD line and on Irian respectively. One of the Jutlands on the KM cruiser line (currently Yorck) US Ovechkin is on the US DD line, currently Farragut I don't remember if I have Russian Ovechkin, if I do he's probably on the Podvoiski

How many Solo Warriors do you have?

None. I think the closest I've come is to win against three surviving enemy ships, by hiding my Amagi behind an island and winning on points, for the great glory of the Japanese empire.

    You make CV's more Rediculous?

In case you haven't been hanging around this forum for very long: Players who have problems with aspects of the game and express such without being absolute tits about it tend to get quite a lot of friendly advice.

Is this some kind of joke

As others have said, hard to figure out without a replay. I mean, you could just have been really unlucky with the dispersion. But also, Kronshtadt is fairly tanky for a cruiser, if you shoot her in the wrong spots she can bounce a lot of shells. At at guess, you might have aimed a bit too high. Izumo's guns are troll-tastic, though. If anything they actually have too good penetration and shell velocity in many cases. You tend to get a lot of either overpens or shells bouncing off the deck thanks to her flat shell arcs.
  12. Sure. But that's one of the reasons why I don't think she fits that well into 6v6 format. In 12v12 you're pretty much guaranteed a decent selection of targets that you're good against, in 6v6 there's a lot more variance. But personally I think that's fine for a ship that's built around offering a different/unusual game experience. They're going to be a bit more situational, and that's fine. I'd rather have premiums that are situational but different over ones that are bland generalists. Eeeeh. I'm skeptical. I guess they could trial her with Graf Spee dispersion and see, but I don't think it'll take much to make her overpowered against cruisers.
  13. I think as premiums go, Scharn is pretty fine as is. She's a ship that offers a distinctly different play style to her tech tree brethren, without being overpowered. It can be argued that the Germans in general have been left a bit behind by power creep, and if something is done about the tech tree line then a couple of the premiums could also do with some small buffs. But I don't think Scharn in particular is desperately in need of anything major. She fills her niche nicely.
  14. I disagree, but I suspect neither is going to convince the other. For me, Scharn is too situational against enemy BBs that I'd take her into such a limited environment as 6v6. Gneisenau is a much more well-rounded option in that case. And other classes don't take up a BB slot.
  15. Sure. But as I said, the variance in terms of opposition in a small format such as 6v6 is so great that you can't really rely on that. I'd rather have something that's more of an all-rounder and performs decently in most setups, rather than something that's really good when you're lucky with the matchmaking.
  16. Gneisenau and FdG have more ordinary battleship guns, though.
  17. Scharnhorst is a bit of an odd duck, that's very dependent on matchmaking to really perform. I'd personally be skeptical about taking her into a reduced format like ranked, simply because the variance in 6v6 with regards to what you meet is greater. Sure, you can be lucky and get in a match with mostly cruisers and have a field day, but you can also be unlucky and come into a BB-heavy match and not really have that much to do. In 12v12, you're more certain of getting at least a not-too-unfavourable target selection.

    Free XP calculation

Daily mission or other combat mission that gives free exp as reward? For both cases (premium and non-premium) it's exactly 1000 extra free exp.

Opinions on an accidental friendly torp

Oh, I agree. But at the same time, it's good to be gracious about it and not get salty when you get torped by a teammate if it's not really a stupid play. (Blatant early game backline torping is another matter, those people deserve some salt) I think the last time I became pink, it was one of those late-game situations with ships all over the map, and I detonated a friendly Conqueror in the Asashio. When I fired he was behind an island, sailing in the opposite direction and more than 20 km away from my 16 km range troll-bote. So sending a salvo at an enemy BB pushing in seemed safe enough. To this day I still don't understand how the Conq actually managed to get to a position where he got hit by one of my torps. AFAIK Conq doesn't have speed boost The other guy just laughed it off, though - guess he saw the absurdity of it.

Opinions on an accidental friendly torp

There's a lot of nuance here, though. I usually avoid launching torps if teammates have to actively avoid them, unless said teammate is really on the ball and I have communication going with them (e.g. "slow down and I can torp ahead of you" - "ok"). But sometimes you're in the kind of situation where said teammate only has to keep doing what they're doing in order to avoid getting hit. E.g. the bow in BB next to an island - you normally don't expect those to suddenly start speeding forward, and in cases like that I just launch and notify them that torps are on the way. And then some times that player just inexplicably decides to do exactly what is most illogical for them to do

I'm absolutely rubbish, or so some say

There's a ton of other factors at play as well. Regarding damage, you get more exp from targeting different classes of ship. IE 100% damage to a DD and 100% damage to a cruiser yields more exp than killing two DDs or two cruisers. But then there are all the other things that also generate exp and can make a huge difference. Had a Kagero-game last night where I scored 50k-ish damage on a couple of lower tier BBs, but with three caps I still ended up second on the team list.

Opinions on an accidental friendly torp

To be honest, I don't really see this happening that much (and last time it happened to me was in coop), and most of the time in lower tiers where people can be forgiven for still being a bit incompetent. Sure, you have the occasional higher tier torpedo moron, but those are fewer and further between than you some times get the impression of. Most accidental torpedo hits (both against me and by me) tend to happen when the game is in more of a late stage chaos phase, where ships will be scattered all over the map and there aren't necessarily clear fronts. Also, often when people are a bit more stressed and in close situations where taking the time to fully check your surroundings spells the difference between a certain kill and getting killed yourself. E.g. if I'm torped by a teammate who's launched a salvo while in a brawl, I usually don't let it bother me because that kind of stuff can happen and in a knife-fight you often don't have the time or attention to spare for anything outside of your immediate surroundings.

I do wish WG had "oh hai, there are torps coming in your general direction" as one of the options on the command wheel. I'd prefer this:
