I don't really care whether they bring her back or not, but she is overpowered. She may not have a terribly high skill ceiling, but she's very easy to get good results in. In my own experience, she's about one and a half Izumos. While her sigma is worse than Yamato's, her dispersion is the same. So she's not really that much less accurate. It's a bit more tricky to score those multi-citadels against a straightlining opponent, but it also means you tend to get some hits against dodging ships. Heck, I actually have slightly higher average damage in Musashi than Yamato, but I don't really have enough games in Yammy to be considered a representative selection.

They also said the game would never have submarines.

Unless said DD is smart enough to just sail around in torp mode. Towards the end of the game at least I tend to do that, precisely to avoid giving my torp launches away.

The rotor-hub machine gun is a particularly ambitious touch.

I've proposed earlier that they could include the Courageous class with two gun modules: the dual 15" turrets as the default choice, with the 18" meme guns as an option.

All weapons in this game are exaggerated in terms of number of shots fired and hits scored compared to what's realistic. Correspondingly, they also do less damage. People who clamor for more realism in games tend to be disappointed when they get what they want and realize just how mind-numbingly dull reality actually is.

Fixing something that wasn't broken IMO. I preferred the old sound design. E.g. the engine boost sound for aircraft is just awful. And I just had one game where I spawned next to a Mogador. It sounded like a paddle steamer...

Not really. I play the three classes fairly evenly, although cruisers have pulled ahead a bit lately since I started the Yamamoto Isoroku campaign.

I've been saved by damage saturation far more often in DDs and cruisers than I have in BBs.

Errr... You do realize that the 19 battles is for a limited time period, right (after 0.8.8 release?). They currently have 223 battles in post-rework GZ as you can see from their profile. Also, why are you going off so harshly against someone who agrees with you?

It's alright. Fairly fragile, though. If you like the Amagi, chances are you'll enjoy the Kii (at least I do). But it's probably not everyone's cup of tea.

Yeah, I like that one as well. Got it last year I think. Usually have it along with Kitty Purrfurst on the ships that can have two flags. But doesn't seem like newbies will be able to get it, if there's no way to earn it this year.

Met @Sigimundus on Tears tonight. I was driving the Minotaur, he in the Harugumo. I got killed fairly early on after getting clinched between a Wooster and a Moskva, but not before killing the Wooster with gunfire and then getting an "It's just a flesh wound" with torpedoes on the Moskva. Didn't stick around to watch the entire game, but it must have gone reasonably well because it ended in a victory

Did you try to buy a doubloon bundle, or "any amount"? AFAIK the coupons can only be applied to bundles.
