Get rid of the bots. Actually try make decent MM?? Asymmetrical battles.

Remove the CVs and it would be great fun and a complete success.

It seems I am missing something here...

The dynamic crosshairs are off. Get the Nomogram mod. They're spot on and you get first-round hits every time. At least that is my most recent info, I think it was this video here which admittedly is not very recent. But the nomogram mod still seems to work great.
  3. And btw I still remember how this whole forum laughed me out the door for suggesting this exact mode, three or four years back. Now who's laughing?

    Smolensk

All that does is get you more overpens. It is therefore in fact a buff.

    More quick commands

As I've suggested elsewhere, imagine if players could edit their own quick commands. The technology is there, all it would take would be the will to do it, and to establish some sort of approval procedure to weed out the usual childish nonsense. Might take a few days or weeks to get your custom commands approved. Ultimate WG bait: They could even charge money for it.

    Asymmetric battles should be T 5/6 vs T 9/10

    Which Ships should i get?

If you ever want to play competitive modes, best go for the Stalingrad. Even though it is much fun with the carriers atm. For the same reason I'd not go for Somers or Marceau, you're just CV fodder. So get that Stalin for the steel and buy Papa Papa flags for the coal to get a Smaland. That ship was worth every cent.

    HELP PLS

Also dude you don't need to take a photo of your monitor, just press Print instead on the keyboard and there will be a screenshot in your Screenshots folder (which is in the WoWs folder).

    Commander or ships for coal?

Kuznetsov is an absolute must-have, especially for Ranked. Completely broken stupid OP, the very embodiment of Russian Bias. So ridiculous it's not even funny. Of the ships, Moskva used to be pretty good but now there's Petropavlovsk which is arguably even better. So the main reason to go for Moskva would be making more credits. But if that is your goal then you should go for Georgia which will make even more credits, especially since you have a chance of being uptiered and thus damage higher Tier ships, which incurs a bonus afaik. Or if you want a cruiser and Alaska is still available for Free XP, you could use the coal to buy Papa Papa flags and buy that one cause it is just incredibly good. I have all the ships you are contemplating, but the only one I played more than a few times, and which I enjoy a lot, is Thunderer. Even though my aim is not very good, but that only means I get more misses in difficult shots than I might get if the dispersion were not as tight. And there are usually enough easy shots to take instead. Also it has defensive AA, though that doesn't mean a whole lot these days. Added bonus of Tier IX is of course that you get fewer carrier battles. The only ships I really enjoy on Tier X these days are Halland and Smaland, for that very reason - you are not just left-click fodder and get at least a small chance to ruin some CV players' day. If you deciode to go for Smaland, besides converting coal into Free XP, there is also the option to reset lines, because you can buy 250k Free XP for i think 12,500 research tokens in the Armory.

WoWS x Transformers. More than meets the eye!

I didn't think it was possible to get any more disgusting than the transformer movies. Yet here we are.

is anything after T-22 worth grinding ?

It generally makes sense to grind out full lines because of the recurring "snowflaking" events, like the ongoing Anniversary. One more Tier X = one more Supercontainer. The question is which lines to put on the backburner and which ones to prioritize. The British DDs are definitely superior from Tier VII and up in Randoms and Ranked. Generally, hydro DDs can always be strong, even in competitive modes, since there are always muppets in other DDs ambling into your hydro. The only thing is there are so many better hydro DDs out there these days than are found in the German tech tree. Lo Yang is of course miles above the Z-23, Siliwangi also gets the 5.5 km hydro range, and even Z-39 gets 5 km hydro range while Maaß on the same tier only gets four. The Tier X Euro DD is a must-have since it is the only one with remotely adequate AA and also a fun torpedo boat, allowing you at least a semblance of normal play no matter if there are CVs. That said, as with so many lines, I think all in all Z-46 is a good and fun boat and perfectly viable on Tier IX since there are few carrier battles. Nice and quick torpedo reload and the Kagero style gun layout is good for kiting. Play it to its strengths and it gets super annoying (to the other team). Z-52 is sadly fairly obsolete.

Asymmetric battles. How to make them interesting

Easiest way to make them interesting: Remove CVs from the mode. Job done.

    Asymetric battles

I was lying though. Turns out there ARE rewards. A string of combat missions where you can get altogether four (4) gift containers. But only for playing Tier V-VI. Definitely not worth being made the *edited* in a carrier three tiers higher than you. Removed insults /disrespectful wording. Arty_McFly

    [12.6.0] Aslain's WoWS ModPack Installer

We should have a monthly Best Mod contest, just a simple vote. Or maybe even "Best New Mod". To me, this month's prize goes to "Easily Readable Team Score".

    Update 0.9.8

Audio continues being weird. On the "Islands of Ice" map, I keep hearing police sirens. I guess that's supposed to be howling wind. On the "Shatter" map and possibly others, there are these bird calls when you're close to islands. Don't make sense either. The "birds" seem compleley unperturbed by all the gunfire, just keep on chirping. And also at times they are louder than the gunfire. I continue to wish they had left it alone all these patches ago when they first introduced these supposed enhancements nobody had been asking for. Barring that, I continue to keep wishing for something like test buttons to help adjust all these sliders, so you can at least know what sounds you're specifically sliding up and down there. Ideally, of course, they'd hire some actual audio engineers to achieve a decent basic mix where users don't need to experiment a whole lot to make it just bearable.

Use the ship horn for torpedo warning

I've gotten into the habit of honking my horn for the full duration whenever some torps are streaming past me and team mates are vaguely behind me, possibly in their path. Don't know if that is an established form of chat-less communication in the game yet but I am striving to make it one since it seems very practical and potentially useful. It's just quicker and easier than typing. It's basically like driving a car, I mean that's what you do when you need to warn others.

Use the ship horn for torpedo warning

Just imagine if players could edit and create their own quick messages. I mean the technology is there. They would probably need to be pre-approved by WG to weed out the inevitable childish NSFW and political stuff but that would just be a momentary blip for their customer service salt mine slaves. On the one hand, yes, but on the other, the more widely these things get established, the more useful they become. Like clicking the minimap to alert the others to where your RPF is pointing. It certainly took a while to catch on, it will take newbies some time but in the higher tiers at least, many players seem to understand that. I've actually considered writing a guide on nonverbal communication in this game, or making a video even. For example, I've also taken to using the F8 message ("Set a smoke screen!") to signal that I myself am ready/going to smoke a team mate up.

    Asymetric battles

One word: Pointl3ss. The whole mode is another neat idea, needlessly ruined by the presence of aircraft carriers. Were it not for the CVs, this would be a perfect opportunity to once again break out the Fujin... Kamikaze... T-61... lots of fun lower mid-tier ships that have been rendered useless port queens due to the unfun mess caused by the CV rework. But noooo... not only does WG admit CVs to the mode, they even give the bot CVs the ability to hit DDs, unlike Co-Op battles where that never happened to me at least. Really I see no reason at all to play that mode. There aren't even any rewards, are there? Just self-perpetuating tokens. Play to be able to play more. An exercise in futility.

    What ship next?

I don't really get your problem but what you really want is to get to Tier IX as quickly as possible since there are far, far fewer aircraft carriers than on any other tier. I'd go so far as to even recommend using Free XP to skip Tier VIII as much as possible.

    Update 0.9.8

And AGAIN WG release a buggy client. Clicking on the Anchorage/Dockyard thingy freezes the client, does not open the dockyard. Fitting for the five-year anniversary. Five years of the finest sloppy bugs brought to you by the company that gives inexperienced interns all the chances these young people so richly deserve.
