I do not think, I know. 440 games in reworked silver CVs were enough to get PR ans WR much above my actual skill in all other classes despite of utilising less potential then in the other ships due to little experience and poor knowledge of advanced CV gameplay mechanics. They made them way too powerful and noob friendly to lure new players into them.

Some ships are balanced around island cover or concealment and used to have no fly zone level AA to be able to sneak into positions and remain there. With increasing number of BBs able to over-match even angled CAs bow armour, without the speed and agility to effectively play in a open water some of those became very frustrating to play in CV games. BBs do not care that much as they have armour, HP, best AA plus fighters and are benefiting most from generally nerfed concealment in CV games being much safer from surprise attacks of fewer and fewer remaining DDs.

To be honest I can think about a few much more exiting things to do with my spare time then " just stick to the fleet and wait", things like watching the paint dry, or grass grow, or stare at the TV that is off, or even playing CVs is more exiting and a brain dead easy without the risk at all on the top. So in the end I "I dont play DD frequently" as well. Now the question is if those nerfs are intended and will apply to DDs or quite the opposite-to radar cruisers and BBs? Someone who knows a bit about the game should not imply that he used the slingshot as a way of dealing with DDs to the point that they've run crying to WG and WG decided to help little buggers.

As Pete said, do not slow down in a ship that can not accelerate, evade into the torps and remember that In T3-4 bracket there is not a single or even of a group of ships with AA potent enough to defend themselves from t4 CV that knows hows what is he doing.

Hello. I have question to those of us playing both or one of them with IFHE (I do both for a record). What are you going to do after upcoming 50% fire chance nerf with IFHE? Will you still use it? Or not? And why? Will rework change any thresholds? I don't think so but I may be wrong. I am most likely staying with IFHE, fire is too much RNG dependent and fully healable vs reliable way of dealing more damage to some AP resistant ships I chose damage but YMMV. It's hilarious how WG by attempting to balance light cruisers vs heavy cruisers has managed to up some of heavies as well indirectly buffing BBs as always. Collateral damage or planned nerf?

Zao works surprisingly well, even saved a star in CV game mostly thanks to enemy GK catching whole lot of my torps . 2 of 3 games no CVs - biggest surprise. R10 done and now either time to finsh, or wait a few days and switch to CV when better CVs will rank out.

You have said that CV can not be nerfed in damage and rely on spotting for a team as one can not rely on a random team (what is true) but the other classes can? You need at least half decent team in all classes to help you win. Can not wipe alone whole enemy team.

Are they? Including DDs with 1 BB worth of damage for top 5% of Gearing players for example? LOL

And remember that those ships above them usually can't spot for themselves anywhere on the map and strike there and do not move with a supersonic speed.
