The Sea Harrier's supremacy over the Argentine Air Force depended for the most part on the superior training of British pilots, and the inferior training of Argentine pilots. In several engagements Argentine pilots demonstrated lack of situational awareness and lack of knowledge on the flight envelope of their aircraft and weapons. Not that surprising, given the economic crisis Argentina was in since the mid 70's which severely restricted the number of flying hours Argentine pilots could train. They were not however all low level engagements. By British standards low level is below 2000ft, while most dogfights in the Falklands War occured above 5000ft
