Why am i so bad at the game?

You don't exactly need to play 50k matches to get good, but yeah, you need to put in a whole lot more game time than you currently are. Although it doesn't matter how many games you play or how many videos you watch if you don't learn from them and then apply that knowledge. I'd say that around 2k games is a reasonable point for most at which to start becoming decent if they're consciously trying. Towards that goal, what's far more important than learning the specific stats of every ship is to learn basic strategy and how things work in rough terms. As a side note, a pretty large number of youtubers give fairly poor advice about how to play the game despite their popularity.

    Auction results: It's ridiculous!

I didn't buy it myself either, mostly because I couldn't be bothered to log into the game and I don't really need the coal. But if you have way more of a resource than you can ever hope to spend, changing that into a resource that you actually have a use for is quite sensible, despite the poor conversion rate. Letting a pile of something that's unusable rot away is more of a waste.

    Auction results: It's ridiculous!

Those are pretty silly amounts, yes. Still, once you have everything that you can get or want from any of those resources they start stacking up pretty quickly. Personally I'm sat on 20m commander XP as I already have 2-3 21 pointers for every nation that I just rotate around. Those that play CBs every season tend to sit on 100k+ stacks of steel too, although I'd expect most of them like myself to already have the Somers. The auctions are as mentioned meant to drain these people's stockpiles, so it's mostly their playground.

    Druid Vs Daring

It really does sound like you're playing it incorrectly and expecting it to function in ways that it doesn't. Stick to more simple, straight forward and well-rounded ships that you're capable of playing and having a good time in instead.

    Druid Vs Daring

On the contrary, its guns are fantastic. However, you need to have good situational awareness and know how to position yourself properly in order to make proper use of them. The Druid is basically a pocket Minotaur and in the hands of a competent player it'll even beat other DDs like the Ragnar. However, it is a one trick pony and if you don't know how to properly utilize its strengths then it's likely not the ship for you. It doesn't play like any normal DD would and is probably outside the comfort zone of most players. A DD like the Daring is far more well rounded and good/decent at most things, making it comfortable to play in without having to worry too much about anything. If you're going to fight enemy DDs then you often want to utilize islands to surprise them and catch them at advantageous angles. You can also go bow in or angle without it being any detriment to your DPM. Additionally, you can shred a lot of cruisers if they show side and very effectively farm the upper belt etc. of many BBs. It's been a while since I last played it, but iirc. I ended up dropping concealment expert to just go all out on the guns instead, because it rarely made any difference. It isn't a Småland that's always going to be chasing DDs and brawling around caps. Focus on getting those good angles and read the map to predict how the enemies may position themselves.
  6. XTREM is back! We are an old clan consisting of close friends who just couldn't keep away from each other for very long. Thus providing a stable and tight knit community which aims to compete among the very best which WoWs has to offer without compromising on the enjoyment. Throughout the years of the clan's existence we have built up a solid portfolio with consistent hurricane placements and KOTS participation, with the peak thus far being a 3rd place behind -TWA- and JUNK in KOTS. What do we offer? A fully maxed out clan base. Regular clan battle play on a high level. Fun, lols, camaraderie. What's required to join? Be around the clan's average in terms of stats, or otherwise display that you are of the required level. Possess competitive experience at the appropriate level. Be a cool dude or dudette that's enjoyable to be around. What's the recruitment process like? Following the initial interaction between you and whoever you decide to contact, the clan's officers will look at your stats page, competitive experience and anything else that may be of interest. Following this you'll be invited to our Discord server for a chat when it suits both parties. How it goes from there varies on a case by case basis, but in general you'll become a fully fledged member upon acceptance, potentially following a night or two of mercing for us in CBs. Our super, totally official theme song: To get in contact you may send @WgPlsNerfBorderHumping a message, post in this thread, or message any of our recruiters and above ingame.

    [XTREM] has returned!

We're having a good time this season with plenty of great matches and high morale. Now hurricane is secured before people take a well deserved christmas break to enjoy the holidays. We'll be back to push our second rating up too soon enough though.

    [XTREM] has returned!

Up it goes. We're still looking for a few competent players to fill out our main team so that we can play whole evenings.

    [XTREM] has returned!

The season is going decently thus far, with a high win rate and all. However, due to some of our new members going inactive we're looking for new recruits to reinforce our team, so that we can play more hours.

    Brindisi/Venezia build

Because of the smoke that Italian cruisers get you can often push in and play fairly aggressively, then use the smoke to disengage safely as needed. So getting some decent use out of Top Grade Gunner shouldn't be any issue. Especially if you're running Heavy SAP, or if you're going to use the upcoming unique upgrade for Venezia.
  11. This ship's only downside is that it doesn't have a heal or high HP. Aside from that it has around Haru HE DPM, pens 32mm with IFHE, way better than Haru AP DPM, 6km hydro, 5,8km detection, short burst smoke... Far beyond 'being convinced' about the ship, I'd say it's totally busted if it gets released in its current state. Like sure, you don't have much HP to brag about, but you have stealth hydro, stupidly good DPM and short burst smokes. It's a Haru that you don't need to watch out for anything except radars in.

is XF Sherman fire chance fake or am I cursed^^?

Something tells me that you're not playing it correctly, looking at your numbers in the ship. Its damage output is stupidly good for a gunboat. Unless you're going full yolo in the thing you should at least maintain an average 2-3 times higher than what you currently have in the thing without even really trying. I'd recommend looking at some videos of other people playing it and learning from them.
  13. In other words, "Oh no I'm trash at this game! There must be a way for me to blame this on someone else, there's no way I could be the reason. Thanks Obama WG!" Or maybe I should start spending money on the game and go from my usual 70-80% recent win rate to a full 100%
  14. How about you take the tinfoil hat off and try to focus on improving at the game instead? The MM messes with everyone, such as the people who end up on your team. I don't spend money on the game and yet I still have a fairly good WR. Surely I should be cursed for not using my wallet and the complete pepegas with 200 matches and premium ships should be blessed?
  15. Going up against a pure gunboat in a torp DD and losing the gunfight? The fact that you're up against a Ragnar in your Yueyang doesn't mean that it's instantly a loss. The Yueyang is a great ship and really it's one of my favourite DDs after the recent buff. What makes it a loss is trying to fight the Ragnar in his home field in what he's best at, while you should be murdering cruisers and BBs. If you want to go after him though, try to make him waste his radar and then go perma spot him for your team to shoot at. Or get outside his radar range, smoke up after he has fired and shoot him then. I've had plenty of carry games recently. Honestly, a good chunk of my wins are carries. So yes, it is a skill issue.
  16. The more bad players there are the more you stand out from the crowd, assuming that you're a decent player. Sure, there are plenty of games where the sheer number of potatoes on your team means that there's no way you can turn the game into a win. That's about 30-40% of games. At the same time about 30-40% of games will be a win regardless of how terribly you play, even if you're literally AFK cooking dinner in a different room from where you're keeping your computer. The remaining percentage of games, however, can be decided by your personal input in the game. As many people have already pointed out, it's just basic statistics. Over the course of a great number of matches the only constant and the deciding factor for whether you'll be subpar, average or good is yourself. Yes, you'll have bad games where your team drags you down and there's nothing you can do about it. However, if you're good then that's one guaranteed non-potato on your team every game and you're statistically more likely to have a greater number of potatoes on the enemy team. In an environment of potatoes a good player can read the situation, take advantage of their potato-ness and be as valuable as five other players. Or do you mean to tell every unicum out there that they were just lucky and somehow managed to maintain a 60%+ win rate over several thousands of games without any merit of their own? Despite those games where it's impossible to win, if the community as a whole is becoming worse at the game then it's going to be easier to achieve a high win rate. You being unable to accept that you're a bad player doesn't negate how statistics work. Luckily for you you still only have a few games played, so if you put some effort into improving your gameplay you can turn that around.

    Which research bureau DD??

If you want to get a ship for competitive then Ohio is the obvious choice. Going back to your original question though, I have both the Vampire II and the Druid myself. They're both undoubtedly great ships, although the former is more comfortable for the average player. If you already have a lot of DDs and you're quite experienced playing them then I'd recommend the Druid instead though. It's a nice change of pace from the usual DD playstyle and incredibly satisfying when you manage to play it to its strengths. My favourite thing in it is absolutely brutalizing enemy DDs that I catch off-guard by using islands. I don't have the yolo emilio, but I imagine it gives a bit of the same satisfaction and a nice change of pace if stereotypical DD play gets monotonous. The Vampire is great, but indeed just a sidegrade to the Daring and less flexible than it. Due to the long cooldown on smokes and the lack of a heal you have to choose your fights wisely and you can't just keep going from one DD fight to the next. There's more farming involved instead.

    [XTREM] has returned!

As we've recently recruited 3 new members we're currently only interested in new members who may comfortably slide right into our alpha team. Meaning that new applicants should have noteworthy stats or competitive experience of a sufficient level. Preferably a combination of both.

    [N/A]

The best way to improve is by playing together with players who are better than you. Although you might need a bit more game knowledge before decent clans will let you in. So watch some streamers on twitch to see how they play and check out youtube videos, both guides and just gameplay ones.

The RB ships all mediocre or worse?

Ohio is fantastic and always one of the best t10 BBs for competitive. So if you play anything other than randoms then she should be an obvious choice for you, seeing as 40% of your games are played in BBs. As for the DDs, I really quite enjoy both Vampire II and Druid. Although I probably prefer Druid between the two of them, because she's so unique, whereas Vampire II is an alternative Daring/Haida. Sure it might take a bit more game knowledge to pull off the Druid well, but if you've got that down then you can absolutely brutalize certain ships. I find even Ragnars to be easy prey in it.

    [XTREM] has returned!

Activity sadly dropped during the season as people went off to enjoy their summer, but things are looking good for the upcoming CB season as people return refreshed. Have another meme!
