Make Fire Duration Scale with Shell Caliber.
Ronchabale replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
I used to play BB:s 90% of the time but my last 500 games are mostly DD:s -
Remove 'planes detected' notification when planes are detected by a dd
Ronchabale replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
Really the issue is the amount of damage in percentage of ship health the rocket planes can do to a DD The spotting itself isnt the greatest issue and can be worked around -
Make Fire Duration Scale with Shell Caliber.
Ronchabale replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
So a ship like the Conq would have its full fire damage but a puny DD would be missing its chance of doing some damage with HE ?? Where would the Freisland end up in this ? Guess you dont play a lot of DD:s -

Best idea I heard in a long time In carrier games DD play is very tricky
-
I kind of like the Fuso and played it a lot in my first year of wows, russian and french BB:s were not available when I got into this game US BB:s are terribly slow until you get to tier 8 German BB:s are fun, but they have been powercreeped French ships are fast but guns are puny, 32 mm everywhere means you are gonna burn a lot The British BB line is... hmm... (Good heals at high tier, good firestarters too) But comrade, you know the Russian botes are stronk and have good balans, the Stalinium shells and armour will not fail if used properly
-
This is why you need to play different shiplines and different nations ships, when you have played a ship (line) or met a ship in battle several times you will remember what its good at and what its weaknesses are. First thing I did in this game was the big mistake of trying to move all the way up the British BB line to tier 10, when I got to the Lion I was losing credits every game, had no idea what I was doing or where to go or not go etc. Opened up the Jap BB line and played a hell of a lot around tier 6 (Fuso), played some German BB:s, russian and french cruisers and jap DD:s after that things kind of loosened up It did take me a hell of a lot of games to get to a reasonable level of success (winrate). Destroyers and cruisers is a good way to un learn tunnelvision, gotta look at the map and whats happening around you between volleys (all the time just like ur rear view mirror in a car) or you will die fast.

Welcome ! My advice: play multiple lines of ships destroyers, cruisers, battleships, carriers also play different nations shiplines try to get to a (recent) winrate of at least 50% before playing higher tiers, around tier 6 is a good place to learn, it can get very "salty" at higher tiers if you misplay lookup guides on ship tactics on youtube (Flamu and Notser) Good luck and I will see you out there

Ok, true but only if he camps at the back but then he wont get to use any secondairies Not so sure about any islands helping all that much So a tier 8 Half its time in tier 9-10 No issues with HE spam hiding behind islands.. hmm.. I even spammed Bismarcks to death in my Budyonny- 70 replies

IMO the Massa is simply better Massachusettes can cycle through its heals faster making it live longer, yeah the Bismarck and Tirpitz wont get citadelled but its the more than often the HE spam killing them before they get in range to do what they supposed to be good at (brawling). IHFE and manual secondairies yeah but u need that fire prevention and basics of survivablity if you wanna survive long enough to get close The MAssa also has twice the torp damage reduction I edied it..- 70 replies

What to do with the Mighty Jingles commander (poll)

Shows up in the "extended tech tree" (aslains mod) 25 mm plating instead of the GC:s 19mm and slightly improved AA if I remember correctly

Well the Flint is an Atlanta with less guns, no radar but it has smoke I´d save up for the good stuff

Spending mah coal: Georgia, Thunderer or Gunter Lutjens?
Ronchabale replied to Mad_Dog_Dante's topic in General Discussion
Save it if you dont like tier 10 much then tier 9 aint much good either and getting ripped off on a 19.5 captain that is a 10 p captain is stupid. Bound to be some other good or fun ship turn up in the future -
Yes I have all the other premiums from tier 5 and up

You need to get the "huge" santa crates, for me they have given around 3 botes per 20 crates This years haul: from 80 crates Marblehead Fujin Hill Kaga Wichita Ark Royal Sciroco Irian Bayard Freisland Enterprise Saipan Benham I also bought some large crates but that was a fail Note the five last ships in this list came in the last two batches of crates (somehow the "randomizer" forgot the good stuff until there was nothing else go give) Yes.. Benham came in last I have plenty of money but the "randomness" of the santa crates is appalling and I dont much like the way WG markets the "chance" of getting a super premium coz it is just not gonna happen. People with limited cash are lured into dropping absurd amounts of cash and they are never gonna get the nice ships before all other options are spent.

Peurto Rico - who is actually grinding her
Ronchabale replied to pzkpfwv1d's topic in General Discussion
I blew a lot of money on Santa crates instead, happy with the ships I obtained and I decided to give PR a pass I did consider it but with all the controversy around the grinds, prices etc, hmm.. I do have 29k dubloons so possibility is still there, We will see
