    No, some premiums are bad or even rubbish and some are good, most of the overpowered ships get removed form sale soon enough Playing a lot of games in the Yubari will give u a good winrate I have a 78% winrate in mine Same with tech tree ships there are some real stinkers and again there are some real nice ones In the end tho, your gameplay is more important than the ship you are in

    Static battleships need some HE spam to start moving, it does the trick every time On the other hand BB:s that move, manouvre and dodge are a lot harder to hit / light up

    The Sinop I was in didnt think much of Virribis Unitieds Armour its guns didnt do much damage Nor were the 2 Italian Genovas 100 sap shell hits much to worry about Gneisenau , yeah he did some damage but didn´t quite make it

    My Smolensk's guns despertly need servicing!

    I got 13 fires at the most in the Smolensk but then I have had full games in it and only got a handful Damage (for me) can range from crap at like 40-50 k to 150 k (total derps not included) Seems that a cooperative BB (or CA) either sailing in a straight line or statically bow tanking will help a lot Nuthing wrong with it imo

    Good first post ! Looking at your stats I see you have a lot of premiums, many that you only played once or a few times, I can relate to that. This is a sign that you are a true member of the whale club Like you I am also a person that likes the game but does not have endless time to invest in grinds, money on the other hand I do have. (Remember that it is money that makes this a very nice game so dont feel bad about whaling, Puerto Rico 150 hour grind <--> or a few hours at work = easy choice ) I aint very good either, will never be, too old (60 this year) altho I have managed with persistence to get my winrates to an acceptable level (It took me ages to get my total winrate over 50% haha) yeah its ok to look at my stats Advice: Find yourself a few good youtubers and twitch streamers to follow, I watch twitch games when I am tired and most likely wont be playing at my best (You can also link your twitch account to WG account an get free missions and containers) Dont think twice about askin for help if you are struggling with some aspect of the game, people in here are very helpful Game tips: Try to get decent at mid tier before going into high tier games (people will be pissed if you derp too much) Map awareness is extremely important (wont go into this in depth coz there are way more skilled than I that have been over this a gazillion times) Good luck and have fun !   14. few weeks not touchíng it I stated playing dd:s, this was a few months ago This is where I am at the moment I find that i can do pretty well as long as CV doesnt bother me (or when no CV:s are in it) Then the games where CV focus starts 1 minute after the start, spotted, hit by rockets, some focus fire and goodbye I am struggling to git good and as you can see my winrate is mostly in the green but the damage is appauling due to all the games where I got deleted without firing a shot Yes some of these were derps from my side but the main part of them is from CV rocket planes and focus fire from CV spotting I cant seem to get around it. Higher tiers are better in some ways but there are even less DD:s and the single dd spawning in the middle is not so hard to find Any thoughts ? Or should I skip DD:S altogether and play Zao, Moskva, Smolensk , Thunderer etc. instead These are the DD:s I play most. Ihave a few more, also Kitakaze and Benham i havnt got around to playing yet

    Yeah, "wasting" a Def fire AA in a match that may well have no planes is a good point, I was thinking along the line that killing a lot of his planes with Def Fire AA may well piss him off and he will kill u nomatter what the cost

    Thanks for the advice, some good points there. Will try to play even more "apprehensivly" and also more of the gunboat type DD:s Gonna try a few games in CV:s too Is there any point of getting "Def fire AA" instead of "Speedboost" on the Kidd / Sims ?

No 1 DD needs better concealment 2 The radar, hydro, proximity and CV spotting needs to be sorted 3 Maybe a nerf to damage by CV rockets so u dont lose half ur health in the first attack run How stupid isnt the mechanics of a DD behind an island getting proximity spotted by a ship on the other side of the island and thus being FULLY VISIBLE to all other ships that have line of sight ? Same goes for radar, hydro and CV:s.. are the hydros/radars/CV:s plugged into some kind of Star Trek supercomputer that shares the info to all other ships ? Playing DD:s can still be fun but..

PT.. if ur spotted then 90% chance they are aiming at u, all u need to know so I go PM 45% "healthier" steering, engine etc. BFT.. base is 3 sec add AR to that, fires are not to be underestimated so DE IHFE is very useful against DD:s and CL:s, they just go away/melt You can build it in many ways tho (AFT gives 15km but hitting much at that range.. they need to be more or less stationary) I have been fiddling around with it a lot of builds on it

    Hmm.. yes but In the game: Shells hit more often than in real life (this applies to all calibers) I read somewhere that the hit rate for BB main gunfire was around 3-4% (that would make gameplay very boring) How many shells would it take a DD IRL to sink a BB ? King George and Rodney fired 14" and 16"BB shells at Bismarck from point blank range for half an hour after all Bismarcks guns were knocked out, still it didnt sink ? In real life battleships were very hard to sink (but in the game one good way to move a bow tanking BB is to HE spam him (so we have the Akizuki, Harugumo and Smolensk)) In real life all BB secondairies were dangerous for DD:s and Cl:s not so much in the game (coz again it is a game and for balanz) In real life carriers vs WW1 era ships didnt happen (in the game we have tier 4) Have you ever thought about the flight time of shells in the game ? Firing a 800m/s shell at a ship 24 km away would take 30 seconds to get to the target, not so in the game (in the game the shells are more like 2000 m/s) All this is because it is a game and for the famous "balanz" Sure I agree but there are many more issues that are way worse than this CV:s Radars that see through islands What about accurate focus fire at ships hiding in smoke cos some DD has found them with hydro, lol (some good communications going on there eh)

Modules : Main arm mod 1, Engine room protection, Aiming sys mod 1, Stteering gear mod1, Concealment system mod1 Captain skills: Prioritty tatget, Adrenalin rush, Last stand, Survivavbility expert, Advanced firing training and Concealment expert. For ur last 3 points Demo expert or Superintendant If u wanna pen 32 mm u need to go for IHFE so dump the superintendant and last stand (you already got engine room module) You could also sacrifice IHFE and go for RPf (Locate push in find and kill DD:s) Otherwise play it like a clumsy DD coz that is what it is. It is a fun ship especially if no CV:s botherd to join
