"Free coffee and biscuits for Christmas" Haha, dunno why not tho, might make someone come to our shop instead of somewhere else and selling is what makes a profit and that is how WG can profit from "gifts" I fail to see how anyone can complain about something that is free tho no matter how the free gift is packaged/advertised, in the end you dont have to buy/buy it I will quote Flambass here: "Just because you got used to something, doesn't mean IT is okey"

They run a business, they rely on income, the way they market the value of their crates "prizes" is up to them and as a buyer you should not expect too much. I dont say I agree with how they are doing it and it is for sure not fair in any way. I know that just like the "wheel of fortune" at some fairground it is rigged so I dont expect to get any sort of "value" for my money but I may still buy a few for "fun" If you dont like it then whining like a child that lost his marbles in a kiddies game is not the way to take on WG, stop buying crates and dont expect anything for free, buy ships in the premium shop instead. If sales of crates goes down the value in them will for sure increase to get sales up again When it come to "free" grinds that take time but no money, well.. You gotta be damn stupid to grind for something you dont value much so if it feels too "grindy" for the "prize" then dont do it. Yeah.. Microtransactions.. 500 dubs to respec a commander and what does it cost to demount an upgrade ? How is it then an "FTP" game as they say, this is just untrue, it is not free.

Was getting to enjoy DD:s prior to the CV rework but now I find them a bit too challenging

Well don´t ever buy a box then and if u get one for free don´t open it and the issue of not getting "the top prize" will not occur. ( If u never play the game you will never have to endure these life changing situations )

At my workplace (auto service and tyre fitting) customers can get free coffee, tea, espresso, hot chocolate etc.. There is free mineral water too, often there is also tin of (free) biscuits Some take a coffee, some have tea and maybe a biscuit or two, some don´t bother with either coffee or tea and just wait. One thing tho, in 20 years I never heard any customer complain about these free beverages

The crates and "good ship" drop rates have always been a scam Maybe worse this year, I dunno No way are u getting a "rare" ship before all "lesser" options are expended and that will not end with the "Shortlist" No Kamikaze, Belfast, Nikolai, Missouri, Kutusoc, Enterprise or whatever before u got all the Meh ships including both Boise and Nuevo De Julio, dont forget the all the "Black" ships too (speaking from experience)

Have already given up on crates since it has been obvious to me for some time that their drops are rigged Still have tech trees to research and 250 days of premium time to "waste"

You need to buy the Huge crates, I found that a droprate of around 3 (maybe 4) ships per 20 pack of crates was normal Much less on the Big crates (not sure if I ever got a ship there) Would say not a chance with the "normal" crate I have got 100 Detonation flags (twice) from daily drop supercontainers

If you buy ALL the ships above tier 3 in the premium shop before purchasing any "loot" crates you will find your get a lot of "rare" ships from Santa crates

This is gonna make all other WG "disasters" look like a walk in the park

Over the years I have blown away an insane amount of money on santa crates, early on I noticed that the good stuff (Kamikaze, Nikolai, Kutusov etc.) never dropped until all other (lesser) options had been obtained, same pattern every year, first I got 14 rubbish or mediocre ships and the 3 last ships are "rare" or "unobtainable". And so yay, I had all the premiums, next year same pattern, 10-15 rubbish ships and Enterprise, Kaga and Benham last, once again I had all the premiums. Dunno if I will be getting any crates this year, have enough ships to last me a lifetime. Bit of advice and this will for sure save you a lot of money: If u want some "speshul" premium ship begin with buying ALL the ships in the premium shop (dont forget the black versions) and yay your first santa crate ship drop will be a "speSHul" ship

Now you can "shoot down a snowflake" or either by winning the battle or by gaining a certain amount of base experience. Starting with the update 0.9.11 this rule will also apply to a bonus for resetting a branch in the Research Bureau. "Snowflakes" on all ships of Tiers V-VII will bring 400-750 units of Coal, VIII-IX - 75 units of Steel, and on Tier X ships you can earn "Santa's gift" containers, from which with a certain probability you can get one of the many premium ships and other rewards.
