No they want a lot of rubbish "premium" ships so that they can drop some turd now and again from loot boxes just to keep the peoples interest up, don´t worry no good ship will drop before you have acquired all rubbish ships, don´t sell them, they are good as a vaccine against ever having them drop again

That is how you make money on a "free" ship

Incorrect, it was not a hate subs vote, there were no silly choices, just a simple yes or no "should" ? Not true.. Myself as an example, with the general direction this "game" is heading it is very unlikely, subs with their shoddy mechanics and the poor implementation of them are just a small part of the issues in this so called "game" - uninstalled PT server account, any feedback I ever gave was always ignored so just a waste of space anyway - havn´t played for way over a month (apart from one coop game with Missouri for LWM:s credit earning calculations) - havn´t payed for several months apart from premium account ticking away - will I stay ? not so sure about that either.. Who knows, maybe WG will surprise me with some real balance improvements
