Interesting ship Started out as a "normal" cruiser, converted to an insane torpedo cruiser and again converted to an AA cruiser Yes if her barraage of torps was nerfed in some way, reload, dmg per torp, torp stealth, torp speed she could very well fit into the game Would be nice if u could have her 3 different hull updates so as to be able to use her in the torp version, the AA version and the "normal" version (They have given it Yudachi torps, 57knots, 1.9km detection, IIRC they are not the easiest to hit with) Kitakami in 1935 History Empire of Japan Name Kitakami Namesake Kitakami River Ordered 1917 Fiscal Year Builder Sasebo Naval Arsenal, Japan Laid down 1 September 1919 Launched 3 July 1920 Commissioned 15 April 1921 Stricken 30 November 1945 Fate Scrapped, August 1946 General characteristics Class and type Kuma-class cruiser Displacement 5,100 long tons (5,182 t) standard Length 152.4 m (500 ft 0 in) o/a Beam 14.2 m (46 ft 7 in) Draught 4.8 m (15 ft 9 in) Propulsion 4 shaft Gihon geared turbines 12 Kampon boilers 90,000 shp (67,000 kW) Speed 36 knots (41 mph; 67 km/h) Range 5,000 nautical miles (9,300 km) at 14 knots (26 km/h) Complement 450 Armament (initial) 7 × 14 cm/50 3rd Year Type naval guns 2 × 8 cm/40 3rd Year Type naval guns 8 × 533 mm (21.0 in) torpedo tubes (4x2) (as torpedo cruiser) 4 × 14 cm/50 3rd Year Type naval guns 6 × Type 96 25-mm AA guns (2 triple) 40 × 610 mm (24 in) torpedo tubes (10x4) (final) 2 × Type 89 127-mm AA guns 67 × Type 96 25-mm AA guns (12 triple mounts + 31 single) Armor Belt: 64 mm (3 in) Deck: 29 mm (1 in) Aircraft carried 1 × floatplane Aviation facilities 1 aircraft catapult

HAvn´t played for like a month now but when on christmas leave and I was finished with the coop grinding of all the snowflakes I went into random, I began a day with an 8 loss streak, was mind boggling, just couldnt win, however I pulled myself together and soldiered on and managed to win the next 9 games in a row Looking at the teams was interesting when in the loosing streak my team lineups were pathetic players with 150 battles, 250battles 400 battles etc people with 32% winrate and his 29% mate , most had stats lower or way lower that my 52 % FFS several games I had more random experince than my whole team put together Then when the winning streak "occured" my teams were much better mostly 45%- 57% players with many k games under their belt I would say it goes in waves, 8-10 rubbish and then 8-10 good, or at least it did just that on that day Putting a team with an total average of random battles of say 4k against a team of say 80k random battles can only go one way

Guns are an issue, only 14" and not having enough pen is a problem vs other BB:s since she often is uptiered against t8-t9

[Poll] It has been 1 year since the last "Commander Skill reconstruction" (and switch from MAX 19 -> 21) - how many 21-point captains do you have now?
Ronchabale replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
If I am not mistaken I have 5 with 21 point, 3-4 with 20p and something like 25 with 17p-19p -
I know you like them WG... But this is unnecessary. Pls fix this.

By the looks of this It seems also tier 8 could "encounter" superships Well... tier 8-10 is where 95% of the BS in this game is happening, so.... -

What's the logic around BBs Airstrike range??
Ronchabale replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, the minimum range of like 1.5km is also bewildering -
Superships to degrade Randoms as well
Ronchabale replied to SodaBubbles's topic in General Discussion
great interest to players.... LoL, interest in the way that nobody wants them superships do not fit into Tier X because of their superiority.... Yes, that is pretty much the opinion of most players Only Tier IX and X ships will be able to participate in battles with superships.. tier 9, you just said that tier ten were too weak superships fit into the current game concept and have been warmly received by players... Wait a minute, the opinion of most players is that nobody wants them -
Yeah.. Here is the post, may lead to something (hopefully) https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/250

If I am not mistaken they are looking at changes to spotting

Is the Conqueror a notable improvement over the Lion?

We need a tier 11 for the "superships"...

I follow Gibbins on twitch, yes it is a very effective strategy, he has a winrate close to 70% in the german uboat The othe day I saw him stomp a full HP Minotaur from 2-3km, smacked him right in the face 3-4 minutes into the game, Gibbins took 0 damage, just rinse and repeat Pretty sure the Minotaur player found it to be very "fun and engaging" Yes, I guess a CV pretty much can do the same, but u can use wasd and possibly dodge / mitigate some of the damage, there is no counter to an enemy you cant see
-
Coop is about as fun as this thread.. But useful to get rid of 250 snowflakes

Why not an refitted Hood at Tier8, she was going to be refitted in 42 (better gun control and more deck armour) but got sunk in 41, alternatively we could have a 1920 Hood just after her comissioning Tier 5-6 On the subject of British BB:s we could have the Rodney, a ship that actually participated in sinking the Bismarck, but WG gave us the Nelson.. Yes the HMS Rodney unloading full broadsides at point blank range into Bismark would be a sight to see
-
Yes, radar, hydro and DD/sub spotting are challenging enough but possible to work around, the CV will search and most likely find u and if u in the 12.5 km secondary range u are toast On the other hand the Schleiffen and other German battlecruisers do unlock the stalemate to some extent sadly it is the DD:s that take the brunt of it. Question is when and if WG will introduce some counter to CV:s spotting, I know they are looking into it
-
ok "wait for them to die" haha Hmm.. This being spotted as a DD is an issue when their playstyle is mostly built around stealth, this is not the BB:s fault tho, DD being spotted by the CV planes covering the map in a minute or two at mach 1.5 is the problem
-
They are good but building into full secondaries costs what litte accuracy the main guns had to begin with and it costs in survivability Yes they have torps and hydro too but the torps are glacially slow and more of an area denial tool, turning that poorly armoured broadside to get them off in a brawl will often be the end of u Dont get me wrong, they are fun to play but it is at a cost I have only played up to the tier 7 Prinz Heinrich and this is my tuppence worth Edit the Prinz Heinrich is a god in Narai

I think a lot of people wanted the Agincourt, WG made her a port queen saving them the issue of balancing her
