Tbh, in here is also some part that is open to interpretation. Don't get me wrong, I don't fully disagree with you on this seeing how things went ever since the NTC saw the light of day. I choose to not see it in an overly negative way and prefer to see how the current situation can benefit me. BUT! One might go totally view this from the other side and see this (I quote you here) "obvious scumbag part" as just another form of creep (just like powercreep is a form of creep here), as this seems to be creeping into the game for a little while now.

I play mostly clan battle. I never really liked ranked with the exception of the tier 9 one with the pickup powerups, that was fun and more about skill

I don't play this ops due to the reasons mentioned here already. Iirc last times I played this, I was playing CV. Usually I'd use my torps to make some of the ships beach so the bow-tanking teammates can citadel them. Usually it will be 3 stars at the most, if this is a win at all. And since apparently the bots are still going all over the place, I really don't find this operation very inviting as of this time.

I received none for my tier 10 ships (had around 19 supercrates from the last anniversary). I'm not sure what you mean with 150-175 though. I hope that's not your total steel stack Also not sure what you mean with the 95% I did receive a lot of coal though, along with the doubloons I also received.

Anyway, Black and Flint have been steel ships ever since its introduction. With WGs official statements that they will make changes to the core game, changing their minds, things are not as set in stone as they once were. Will the current steel ships remain? Nobody really knows. And btw, I can't remember ever having received steel from a supercrate, like ever. I have however received multiple supercrates with 1k doubloons, even several in december! No idea why I got so many supercrates but thank you @wargaming

It means that you can't obtain these new ships normally, but they will become ordinary tech tree ships as soon as the next patch hits. For the duration of this patch only, the only way to obtain these ships is by doing some kind of mission, in this case it's from getting the tokens from the directives and using those to buy a special kind of lootbox in the armory (in the british ship section thingy) and hope that your random draw will be one of these ships. Bonus is that if you get any of the 4 ships this way, it will come with a permacamo now instead of you having to buy the permacamos with tokens separately. Personally I preferred buying the camos separately as I could choose which one to get and which ones to skip, but it is what it is.

I don't think WG is going to change this. Randoms are supposed to be random, according to themselves. My guess is that if you want competitive, you will have to plat clan battles (and maybe randoms). I don't think it's realistic to want to set some kind of demand to the very casual players. This game basically takes all kinds of stuff together and mixes and shakes it up until some kind of magic happens...or something breaks or explodes

Winning is really something you don't have that much control about. It should remain a personal award and not a team award in a gamemode where there's not much of a team anyway Btw, now that you mention detonating...wouldn't it be time to scrap that award so people don't farm these?

I did receive the WG crate as compensation or at least it's there for me to claim. However, on the same bonus page only round 2 of the latest PTS was awarded to me.

These random bundles are in essense just lootboxes. The main difference being that we get to see the contents of the next one before you buy. I'm not liking this development at all. I can spend the tokens only on gambling, seems they are spending their effort mainly in getting us addicted and I don't like those kinds of games. Apparently it is not working for you either, but surely it must be working for WG or they wouldn't be doing this.
