What I find odd is to why this happened. Why now? There wasn't some big patch or anything. Something on the server must have gone mixed up. One detail I noticed was that it appeared as if the lead transport would only move along with me when I was in the heaing circle and stop moving when I got out of it again. Sounds familiar?

You mean that all the bot ships were going backwards?

Or perhaps WG could simply solve this problem? They created this problem themselves by buffing the tier 4 carriers (particularly Hosho). This problem is just stupid. Why are they even doing this?

I had the same experience. Also about 4 hours ago. I'll add some screenshots and edit this post. It was fixed when I tried again a while later.

It's a tier 5 so the cost of the upgrades are kinda negligable anyway

I tried to read some of the forums there but google translate is being a real pain, largely because the translated webpages it generates seems to not have any clickable links and forum thread posts being largely obscured by some weird window blocking most of the text of each post with these windows are not removable because (you guessed it) I'm unable to click anything on these translated webpages. This makes it very cumbersome to 'get the flow' of what's being said over there. I would have wanted to see what the mood over there was.

As I had anticipated the Emerald getting its permacamo back for some event a while ago, I placed a spare 17pt commander on my Emerald to start playing it just for shizzles. But this camo hadn't become available so I put the commander onto my Monarch right before it got its citadel nerfed Still this permacamo has not been for sale afaicr.

Mine currently shows 10207 battles right below my postcount. But I've been wondering for a little while now. According to this page here I played 4275 random battles and 3706 coop battles, making a total of 7981 battles. When taking into account game modes like clan and ranked, I have to do a little digging and I see 64 ranked battles played from the ingame profile. 132 clan battles when having added up all the ones I saw from inside the clan page ingame. Total is now 8177. Which leaves 2030 battles unaccounted for. Now I'm wondering, are these the total number of operations or event battles played? This number has to have come from somewhere, rigth?

Smolensk offers a unique playing style similar to Kutuzov. I'm too lazy to check whether or not you have the Kutuzov but Smolensk might be your last chance to get a ship with this playing style. Flint probably comes near it but it does not have the range. Otoh, JB is wayyyy more fun to play in coop. It is literally a Richelieu put 1 tier higher with better base reload (and with the MBRB on top of that) and somewhat better AA which is at this time kinda pointless attribute imho. JB also will earn more credits and it is French. But if you pick Smolensk, Georgia offers a quite similar playing style when it comes to how it moves around and how good the AA and secondaries are (kinda close). Imo Georgia is slightly better ship compared to JB because Georgia has a faster reload of the heal. JB and Georgia superficially have different guns but in practice the rng at least seems very similar. Ftr, I own JB, Smolensk and Georgia. I don't have the Flint. It's definitely a tough pick.

I always try to at least get 1 of the permacamos from each event. Guess I was right when I said I didn't like rng. Now I finished all directives (or perhaps last one I still need to complete. Would need to check I was focussing on the arp event) and have not received a single one of the permacamos (the ships I care less about as I can grind them later). Hilariously enough rng did offer me the Hawkings on one of my ALT accounts as the very first pick...yeah fun *thumbsdown* My main account is what I care most about and I didn't get a single one there and now I'm missing this permacamo while having all the other ones from previous events. Yes rng

WG tried to nerf the OP premiums but the playerbase wouldn't allow it. So what are they to do about them?

I think in the case of Smolensk it is not per se it being a more powerful ship, but it being relatively easy to do well in (just like Conqueror used to be before its citadel got nerfed). And Stalingrad is just mandatory for cb right now but I'm kinda getting tired of even mentioning this ship.

My wording could've been better. You missed the point but I suppose it was my fault this time. I was trying to refer to me wanting a company to deliver me a nice fun game about warships in which I find it completely fine to have a theme for each nation but in which each nation is not specifically preferenced over any other nation. In this case I understood there was no Russian bias but with this plausible deniability of russian bias, the ice is slowly getting thinner and thinner. Whether a game is perfectly an even playing field? Modern games are less so, but this is inherent on stuff like unlocks and grind2win (and pay2win which imo WoWS is is largely balanced and could have been much much worse but isn't). Old games like the older AVP2 were perfectly balanced. Everyone could pick the same classes and everyone had the same weapons. The only thing you could gain an advantage for was to have a lower ping (or to use cheats/hacks)

I don't mind paper ships as part of what fascinated me was the "what if" ships. The point is more about adding ships to a navy that was never that great to begin with during that era anyway. With WoT the situation is totally different as the soviets were arguably the best at designing and building tanks. But when it comes to warships, their standards were simply not up to par with the top. The soviets ended up never even building a BB with superfiring turrets. They never fought a large fleet battle with dreadnaughts like the Germans, British, Japanese, Amerikans and perhaps even French and Italians did. yet the Italians don't even have a BB line while now the soviets get a double line for all tech tree branches except for BBs. Look, I don't mind wanting to add ones own paper greatness, but this along with ships like stalingrad (just had a cb an hour or 2 ago where the enemy had 3 stalingrads, yes we lost, yay fun puha) and the overall loss of wanting to create an unbiased game makes me doubt whether I would want to play this game. because in essense games are about playing on an even battlefield. But even and bias won't really mix. I mean, where are the priorities here? And either wargaming caters to the money (which the Russians provide less off) or to their number of customers (in which the Russians don't outnumber the rest like they do in WoT).

I'm definitely gonna look forward to this line. But I'll have to be fair that I'd rather get a couple new lines of battlecruisers as these were ships I read about back when I was a youngling. I had no idea about these obscure soviet projects. The one I did know about is the Sovietsky Soyuz and that's why I wanted to see a soviet BB line.
