My vote would be for Cossack. As I mentioned to someone else already, Cossack makes good credits and will become more effective for this after premium consumables will become free, basically buffing all ships that use a lot of them (and Cossack has quite a lot). Cossack is also very strong (imo at least), even though she has virtually no AA and only a single torp launcher containing 4 torps. T-61 is good but less so for credits if you ask me. I wouldn't get a tier 6 or 7 premium for operations anymore. I'd get a tier 8 (or 9) which you can play well. The Jean Bart was removed from sale recently, you probably won't be able to get her anymore. Georgia is her replacement in a way and is imo the better ship. Alaska is also good but I think Georgia is better when it comes to credit farm (both will gain relatively more due to both using relatively many consumables). Don't get Gorizia. Perth is super fun but (as basically all tier 6 premiums) not good for credits. Sure they can make you good credits but tier 8 and up are better for this purpose. But do get a ship you will be good at

Totally agree with the Cossack. She makes good money as well and more so after premium consumables become free. But for playing a tier 8 DD well, you need to be an above average player for sure. DD life is hard in the top tiers. I would second getting a high tier BB. I wouldn't really buy a tier 7 or 6 for operations anymore since they got their credit economy nerfed pretty hard and are much less good for crew training.

Could be something to do with the lootboxes and the new permacamos the new ships will be rceiving. Why spend money on lootboxes with a chance to get the tier 10 one if you already got the type 20 for free? I don't know if this is the case or whether or not the new permacamos are also for tier 10 (I think it was), but this could be a reason why they did it the way they did? Btw, still reading up on the rest of this topic which has kinda blown up afaic

The thing is that they don't effective lose anything. What they lost is getting it for free.

And steel doesn't? And I think I explained pretty well which elements I consider very lenient. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against people like you getting the permacamo duplicated to the new tier 10 heavy cruiser, kinda like what happened back when the Cleveland was moved to tier 8 and me getting the Pepsicola permacamo for free (or the other way around, depending on how you look at it).

Personally I think this is very lenient. Sure, I can imagine people not being happy with having paid 5k dubs for the camo and now other people getting it for free. But then again I paid over 10k steel for the Black and soon enough people will be getting it for coal, of which I have close to 500k in my armory now. Ship happens. Course I would have wanted my steel back as I would have been able to get another ship (like a stalingrad ) by now. People getting the tier 10 coal ship for free, even when they haven't even purchased her (for credits) is very lenient. It may be a bit harder for people who are slow grinders and had just reset that line though, but from the lack of people here complaining about that, I will assume it's not too many of them (I could be wrong though, not everybody reads the forums and reddit and stuff). I'm ok with having to regrind through the Donskoi. Kinda ehh that I would need to put back the Moskva cap onto Donskoi though but I can live with that. I may not even bother, depending on how much fun this new line of russian battlecruisers are gonna be and if they are fun ima gonna drop my high tier DDs like glowing bricks of coal! Well, probably gonna sell the Moskva soonish, after I removed the legendary upgrade from it of course

So if you are mad about the lootbox thingy, why did you say you were mad about the tech tree changes as just tech tree changes? Only problem I can see is that once they announced this change, you kinda had to hurry to unlock moskva before it will be gone. We've known about this upcoming change for a while now, so better to be safe instead of sorry and prioritize grinding moskva (which still is kinda ehh because of it being somewhat compulsory in a way, but this is also how online games work in general).

Even if WG had done this before (in wows that is), this doesn't guarantee they will do the same thing again (in 0.9.5 patch). And in this case it's already kinda clear it will be a new experience (in wows )

To me, the reddit one seems to be the correct one as it is more clear in general in stating the details. Of course the reddit one could still be the wrong one, but I expect wargaming will clarify soon enough. This here: is just your opinion though and is not my experience. Btw, the forum posts mentioned the moskva being a coal ship right now basically and I just checked and it's currently a tech tree ship, like it has been for a long while now So all in all, I will assume the reddit one is probably the correct one.

I don't get it. You grinded the moskva and instead of a tech tree ship you will now receive a special ship with a free permacamo if you didn't already have the type 20 one. You can perhaps even sell the moskva right now and you will get like 10 milion credits for free as WG will basically gift you the ship when patch 0.9.5 gets released. The only difference is that now you can grind another tier 10 ship from the Donskoi. So I don't really understand why you are so mad about this.

Players who ever had Moskva researched but not yet bought or have her sold will get Moskva. If the soviet cruiser branch was reset, a bonus to Research points will be applied to cruiser Alexander Nevsky. The Unique Upgrade or the mission for it, as well as all purchased permanent camouflages, will remain on Moskva. In case the Type 20 permanent camouflage wasn't purchased, players will get it. The commander of Moskva will retain his specialization. Cruiser Alexander Nevsky will be available only when researched and purchased in the tech tree. The same rules are applied to cruisers Kirov and Kotovsky.

WG has done this a couple times in WOT, removing a tier 10 and making it some special tank (though not making it available anymore by any means, unlike moskva which will become available for coal). I can't remember whether the previous owners would get the replacement tank or not.

In one of these cases the DM was moving around a bit, so I needed several attempts to get my torps to hit. But when I finally did.... The 12km radar cruisers however are another case though. The tier 9 and 8 ones have shorter radar duration and are kinda squishy (meaning my teammates like to take a shot at them once they get spotted, with whatever they got loaded in their barrels ).

He said currently (so as of right now), not as of the day of the new patch. It's still confusing.

So if I were to sell Moskva right now, would I be 2 hours too late to get the Moskva for free seeing I got her unlocked? A friend of me is currently grinding towards the moskva and may use FXP for the last bit, so it would be helpful to know

Do you mean currently, as of 2 hours ago? So anyone unlocking her right now will not get Moskva? Or did you mean with "currently" as of the release of 0.9.5 patch? Or as of today? Or as of yesterday? Or as of this patch? Could you please specify a static date or date/timestamp for this moment as the current explanation of when this moment is, is kinda vague.

I couldn't find any screenshots, but I've torped a cap-camping nose-in DM/Buffalo on several occasions This was with DDs that can fire single torps though and still have to get to inside radar range for a bit for this to work, but it has a couple times . Course target radarcamper has to be kinda stationary for this to work I do remember that one of these occasions was on the Atlantic map, the most south/west cap, with me coming from the east side of the map.
