I don't like people who tryhard to waste my time with flamebait. If you really want to firmly believe Alaska shits on Stalingrad (your wording), then that's fine with me. But I do not appreciate the way that you are trying to converse with me here. Welcome to my blocklist, enjoy your stay there.

Are you trying to convince us that alaska is just as tanky from the front as stalingrad? And it sounds like you are starting to make this some kind of personal thing, just because you want to believe that what you think must be the only correct thing. Alaska being tier 9 is not an advantage when comparing which of the 2 is stronger tier for tier so that doesn't even count. It's like trying to compare 2 fighters against each other who are in different weight classes and then trying to say the lightweight has an advantage over the heavyweight because the lightweight gets to fight lighter opponents Nice try buddy This here absolutely shits? Go compare the stats of both these ships even compared to their own tier or better, compare stats of people who own both these ships.

Then you try capping witha DD with a stalingrad camping in the middle of 2 caps. Not only is he covering TWO caps FULLY, but you often can't even torp or shoot him without going into radar range and a spotted DD is often a dead DD. Nobody cares anymore about DefAA these days But the armor is not the same Alaska can even be citadelled from the front, try doing that to a stalingrad. Yes because alaska cannot tank as well as stalingrad. Stalingrad can just camp between 2 caps and sit there, not having to worry as muich about HE spam as alaska has to. Alaska decks seem to be made of gasoline compared to stalingrad decks. And besides, the advantages I gave earlier like having better heal and more health and better armor kinda explain why stalingrad is more tanky. Because stalingrad is more tanky, even for its tier. Take the 12km radar away from it and the stalingrad would still be balanced. But at any rate. Feel free to think stalingrad is worse then alaska.

Stalingrad also has the improved pen angles btw. And its radar range is a full 20% longer, going from 10km to 12km, and this is very significant. Stalingrad has better armor and a better heal because it has a lot more hp (and thus also a better heal) and the shells don't take forever when shooting at anything at range and stalingrad is 2 knots faster and actually has a slightly faster rudder shift compared to alaska. I won't include AA btw.

You probably played a ship that was not eligible (either class or tier), or a gamemode that wasn't. I can't say it wasn't a bug though, but perhaps take some screenshots and upload them here so people know more clearly what you are talking about. I made the same mistake of taking mosaic into random battles and it did not pay off tbh.

I like Alaska a lot, don't get me wrong. And it is a good ship for sure. But personally I think Alaska is a bit overrated when it comes to how stronk it is.

I've seen several teams consisting of virtually nothing but Stalingrads and PRs and 1 carrier and basically just rush and use their hp to tank it out while basically running the other team over.

I got about 5.7m credits. I basically only had some stock of the spotter plane consumables which accounted for the vast majority of this loot. I'm a bit surprised that most people got even more, but more power to them, I got enough credits

I'm probably gonna go for something like this as well, slowly progressing through the campaign and see if I get enough tokens afterwards to get something, either from the line of main rewards or just some premium days or signals or something.

Don't count every single battle. If you want to see your win stats, go to sites like https://wows-numbers.com/player/564736475,Harvin87/ and check your winrate of the last 21 days or so. This gives a better estimate then to simply count or estimate winrate. I also basically started out with a 50% winrate. The thing to look out for is solo winrate and the easiest way to increase your winrates are by either sealclubbing (which I would not recommend as people will make fun of you for it) or to div up with people of equal footing. Here's my solo winrate, as you can see it can take a while before solo winrate will settle and even after several years it can still go up again. Another tip is to get good gear. In wows this means getting good ships, equip them in a way that best suits your game styles and get good commanders. For new players I can recommend picking a lower tier ship that you like (preferably something like a tier 6 or so max), perhaps get a permacamo for it (so you can save up some expendable camos for other purposes) and keep playing it over and over again till you get your first 19 point commander. I can't stress enough how much of a gamechanger this is for all of your ships in the game Grind this same captain on some other premiums and learn to play well at the tier of the ship you picked. Friend of mine recently did the same for a tier 6 and now his second and 3rd 19pt captains will be there soon as well, further improving his winrate. Another tip is to watch other good players play. Like here on stream as he knows how to position well. He is not a great fan of playing carriers though so for that you would need to find another streamer (like Mister Gibbons). And div up like what's been mentioned before. It won't increase your solo winrate but most people will not care to actually use the sort button and will only check if you club some OP premium or something anyway) BUT you will learn from it! A lot!
