What you did was doing nothing but throw some more oil onto that frustration bonfire which only made the dialog here more frustrating then it had to be SOme of the waves could get stronger ships or perhaps just more ships. Or increased skills on the captains (which is easy to implement and tweak IF it's possible for WG to change global bot variables). Some ships don't have a higher tier like premiums and some ships are there for some specific reason (like the German ships in Hermes kinda mimiking a German fleet with each capital ship being represented only once, or nice touches like Little Trouble being a Missouri in Narai). Or increased difficulty in the mission objectives (save 4 ships instead of 2 and stuff like that).

How hard would hard mode have to be to cater to the people who find the current operations too easy?

His stats for the operation may be off but he does have a point in it being infuriating for not really a good reason now. This What kinds of rewards would be fitting for a hard mode? Hmm..something else besides just xp and credits perhaps? Maybe even one of those special captains that are in the shop at this time! I think it's bad that I'd have to pay money just so I can get the superior USA and RN captains or get left behind permanently

Then I'm not playing it. I might give it a try, just to see how things go. But frankly it's almost as bad as playing ranked. I want to have fun! And I also want some economic benefit from my effort. With Narai I also ended top spot lots of time but same goes for most other operations. When looking at my position in the base xp list post battle, I tend to perform much better then when compared to randoms and people may forget that even if they don't enjoy something (maybe because they think it is too easy), others may enjoy it a lot and this is not something that is lesser or inferior or something. I enjoy operations more then I enjoy ranked. So let me! Some others may find operations too easy but enjoy ranked, so I let them! In the end we're all in the same boat

Perhaps some rule could even make normal mode operations easier on the team, like "One cannot join any operation if one of thine ships is still in an operation". This would prevent suiciders and yoloers from enerting an operation after death and could lessen the number of freeloaders, thereby increasing the chances of better players ending up in the same team! So you can only join any operation with any ship as long as none of your ships is currently in an operation (and you left before the operation you were playing was over, no matter if you are dead or alive in said operation). Of course this would affect everyone including myself, but if this helps win more operations I can bare the patience lol

I recognise where you're coming from and I actually haven't even bothered with playing UF yet as last time it seemed a bit like a waste of time. I'd like to see operations as a viable alternative to randoms (also when it comes to xp and credits) and having basically 0 as a reward for a failure is fine and perfectly ok provided that it's winnable by more then half of your tries with randoms. The latter is not the case anymore. I don't want to play only randoms, if I want to have fun and get reasonable economic rewards Coop only gives the former and is quite boring after a while, I want to have some diversity and having fun. I don't like ranked battles and I didn't really like clan battles either, so there goes 2 good ways to earn economic income in this game. Not everyone likes everything, let them have a choice! And don't ruin things for others just because one is kinda selfish

Might be a challenge then...for you Not everyone has like 66% win ratios in randoms and is of hurricane league material. In fact, by telling us that it was better for you to play solo so you could farm more damage tells more about your level of skill then of an operation that is too easy for most of us normal 50%-ish winrate plebs like me here Then ask for hard mode but don't take away ingame content for people who are in fact of the skill level of average players. Your problem is not with scenarios being to easy, it is with not having hard mode. You already get stalingrad flags and other content that is too hard for ordinary plebs like me to achieve. Don't forget that 60.99% is not the average winrate of people playing WoWS (but is of people in your clan, which actually includes havaduck as I happened to saw his name in the same list).

Well, today seemed a good day to come across familiar names. At first I was happy to see the Kaga in my team and the enemy being in a Hiryu....till I saw who was sailing that Hiryu. @TomBombardil Fortunately* he decided to not bother sending planes my way and my team won, I was sailing my Atlanta! Later I played a random battle on PTS to try out the new Cleveland and I ran across @WG_Lumberjack in my team. Too bad we lost though but it was my first look at the Kronstadt after I had gotten myself sunk crazy fast Till next time!

Well, part of the players do want to win and do want to have good results, but some simply don't seem to care about their teammates. Btw, "... nd has some real issues with reading, not to mention understanding simple commands." what does put people off is some people ordering "their subjects" around without regard to how harsh they come across. The critique may even be warranted but commanding doesn't always work and in the end I want to win. Sometimes for some giving simple orders (or maybe pack them like suggestions or something) will work and sometimes it will not. Also usually there isn't enough time to type lots of well written suggestions while in the heat of battle except when you're already dead, so I can understand simple communication while in the midst of battle. It's not just about giving the correct orders (or 'suggestions' ) but also how you package them, like those Japanese presents

I think it's a bit in the middle here. If one wants to know the frustration of the bot buff, give Atlanta and Rich both a try in Hermes. Atlanta is basically unplayable now and most is trying to hide behind Ruan while Rich is easy mode and often I make it to the final torpy bit without having taken any damage There's definitely something fishy with these scenarios now, but you also have a good point. When I played Raptor the last time it was weekly, I noticed it was mostly the poor players that made it a disaster. I don't come to forums to cry about how supposedly >>>>>>>> 80% of ALL BB players only try to cross the border (which when read as a fact is of course a far cry from reality), but with Raptor teammates were often abysmal. Some players were afk of course but some others went top left corner and shoot damage and die so they exit and hope the rest can guard Raptor so they can play more operations (and of course such players think they are sooo rad for their stupid lemmingfolks who will finish the 'boring' stuff without any help (and if not they come cry on here with made up stats)) and I written about more examples of terrible gameplay. But having 4 good players really made a difference. Here I noticed the statement that at least part of the problem is poor players and freeloaders pressing the BATTLE! button and blaming everyone else for their pizza and whatsnot But frankly, the bots are making life much too hard for some of the human teammates. The freeloaders only add to the problem.

Yes please bring Narai back! And theres farming everywhere! Just look at 3 man divs with 3 of those unobtainable OP premiums and 19pt captains and wheres the seal clubbing smiley when you need one

I'd say this more generic term is used to refer to people who are AFK or who go back to harbor before they are killed. I doubt you could lump inexperienced players onto the same pile as cheaters and people who abuse the game design. This is not my call to make. Ah, the camping/passive battleship play problem..does it even exist? I do see some actions that make me think some people are definitely not the smartest pears from the wisdom tree, but still that's just part of being human I think. We can't all be purple unicorns.

The thing is that good gameplay can also inspire. I've actually learned most of this in the beginning by watching flamu and listening to how he thinks and how he considers things. I often literally had no idea what to do and it isn't always as obvious. But the somewhat smarter ones will find google and will read up a bit. And the whole "backline sniper BB babies hype" is actually the second most annoying thing in WoWS now to me (and I mean all these victim role players who actually are suggesting for real that like half of what every BB does is snipe from A1, which very obviously is not tru at all). The worst is (elitist) toxicity, 3rd worst is AFK players. I think that Defend is just right right now. You know that these elite players often have win rates of 66% or more? They can get just as much xp, ecxp and fxp in randoms by divving up with other purple unicums (think Saipan + Belfast + Flint or something) as they can by playing operations all the time. Nerfing these flags (to which I am opposed to) will nerf the 'middle class' 50%-52% winrate players more then it will hurt these purple ones. And besides, I actually collect many of my dragon flags from PTS, which is like doing a whole mission set for a couple days maybe, just so I can have a set of 5 each so it's not like P2W for me. I put effort into getting those.

I gotten 5 stars on my second attempt the very first day the new mission was added (but a day before Defend was the weekly, so we made a div of 4 or 5). First attempt was failure, but we were just 4 ships. Next attempt was 5 players and we gotten 5 stars there. The next day started me doing these mostly with just random people and it was much better then Raptor, mostly at the end it didn't become a disaster with literally only losses. This was my count so far with the random teams (some of the battles one of my friendly clanmates was in a div with me, roughly 5 of these games) Wins: 3*5 stars (place 4,2,2) 8*4 stars (place 3, 4, 2, 2, 3, 1, 1, 3) 2*3 stars (place 2, 2) 0*2 stars 2*1 stars (place 1,1) 2*0 stars (place 1,1) Losses: 1 (place 1) The battles including 1 DD were these: 4 stars, me Indep 1209 base xp 3rd, DD 681 base xp 7th 3 stars, me Ryujo 924 base xp 2nd, DD 560 base xp 7th 4 stars, me Indep 1171 base xp 2nd, DD 888 base xp 5th 4 stars, me Ryujo 1335 base xp 1st, DD 880 base xp 4th (and this was the absolute best DD performance I saw in scenarios in the whole week) The battles including 2 DDs was the only loss I had. It looked like this: Me Budy 362 base xp 1st, DD 217 base xp 5th, DD 117 base xp 7th. There was some talk about bringing DDs into these operations and I still think they drag the team down. I didn't see a single DD get 4th place or higher except for one who was 4th spot, so of the DDs I encountered only one actually completed that +1k fxp mission. But most of them did get a free victory, thanks to the rest of the team.

So they shot zero damage, spotted zero targets and tanked zero damage? Is that what you mean by nothing? This is WoWS, I don't know that game. The fact that you're misinterpreting the meaning of what I say while at the same time underlying my point is actually what the problem is with this thread. Made up stats, fantasized misbehavior by supposedly COWARD players who deserve nothing less then some kind of digital spanking or get an entire ship class nerfed "or else" for what is factually no good reason whatsoever. People like you misinterpret said things like this as this if you can't even interpret simple sentences like this correctly, I can assume that ingame behavior is as much a mystery to people like you, if not more. I can't take toxic elitists or other toxic people like this seriouslyif the very base of the existance of their argument is fictious. And frankly, even though the noobs get on my nerves plenty of times (just go read my comments on failing teammembers in operations Raptor, if you want a recent example of mine) these noobs have just as much right to play this game as anyone else does. People like you can't go shoehorn everybody else into a shape of your liking, especially if the reason for wanting to do so is largely made up. There is a tool which lets you see stats of other players ingame? Could you tell more about this? Google didn't seem to reveal a lot. Btw, players having such horrible win rate does support my experience that it's mostly the (very poor) players that made it virtually impossible for me to win Raptor scenario anymore. Players were unskilled beyond belief, I'm still mind blown about it a week later. I mean I lost ALL Raptor scenarios for several days on end. What?!

You're missing the point. I didn't say this behavior was not uncalled for, I said that this map borderline camping is way less common then people here make it out to be. In the screenshots above I only see most of the teams dead and the BBs not having a whole lot of support. BBs tend to not want to go into an area where they are spotted.
