Agree with this. So far I haven't had the luck of doing really well (please keep in mind I am only slightly above average player in winrate) and winning and surviving at the same time

What did you do to make it in just 36 battles in Izumo? Wouldn't that require you to get like 10k xp/battle?

However, that in itself doesn't explain why there isn't an Italian branch right now.

I don't see why it shouldn't be possible for people like you to have the ships as they 'were' (as you probably wouldn't want to buy a half-completed floating hulk I presume )? And besides there's plenty sister ships for WG to choose from

I wouldn't call Bayern's looks "horse crap", but I suspect you know more about this stuff then I do? When it came to gameplay I liked Bayern a lot actually. Whats GC? Oh you meant GamesCon? Would be fitting timing

About the PEF (and also Mackensen/Ersatz Yorck, Derfflinger and maybe L 20e α), I'd like to suggest giving them torps kinda like Gneisenau already has (and like they historically had (and yes I know this alone doesn't make it a must-be something)) as this would create a fun silver tech tree, even without the need for extra gimmicks (that so many people seem to kinda dislike).

I don't know exactly why there isn't an Italian tech tree line in WOWS yet, I only started playing less then a year ago. It does take time to create an entire new line (I know how difficult modelling can be, I was veeery poor and at best could do cheap reskins lol) and a ship requires a whole lot more then a tank or a plane, but I sure would like at least Italian BBs and cruisers in the tech tree! Some of the designs (like that Borodino I think?) sparkled my fantasy as I was a kid, I read tons of books about it (well maybe not literally tons of books but it might be close ). I doubt the Italian navy was 3rd though, the list provided on the first page seems pretty accurate to me. I think it would make for an interesting line (or 2 lines, or 3 if you're into DDs as well which I am not really anymore). But with so much coastline, it's obvious a navy has always been an important part of the people inhabiting the Italian peninsula.

Personally I do like WG looking into options such as this (but they better not go overboard while doing it ) as it can add to gameplay. But I am really not sure about such a hefty reload increase, even if it's just for a shirt while It would make a good tool for catching enemy players after having waited for you to start a turn, then shoot your broadside after having quick-reloaded.

So how was Izumo?

Yes! I hope that once Derfflinger, Mackensen and perhaps Ersatz Yorck (not sure how this one could fit though) or even the 'L 20e α' make it into the tech tree as silver ships, they will retain their torpedo tubes, it would make for a unique line with much fun gameplay! The PEF is definitely in my sight now! I know they give it a what-if modernisation, but frankly I think it looks well done and plausible as to what it might have looked like and I think the modellers deserve some +karma for that, the single screenshot of that ship looks good!

He also made this one I think these are great fun to watch, though not to be taken too seriously Granted this one isn't a lower tier ship, but it holds up from tier 4 so I should be good?

I can understand why naming and shaming is a bad idea. I mean, the people "we" would intend to shame, would simply do the same back to us no matter how uncalled it would be (just like how uncalled it may be while in the game). It would probably become a huge mess and impractical to clean it all up all the time. So I'd take that this is why it's forbidden to do so. But aside from the laugh, I think I have plenty from ingame alone and would probably not read it very often. I'd keep it as a special treat for very occasionally, kinda like those rare crystal glasses my grandparents used to have and only use at veeeery special occasions And due to this topic, I've actually played a few battles today while keeping an extra eye on the chat. Unfortunately the chat during those 3 battles (particularly the latter 2) were actually very pleasant It does help if your team is winning, alas all 3 games were wins so I couldn't judge the chat at a loss and my playtime for today is over for now

I do do this sometimes. Usually it doesn't help though, see my above reply. They simply won't admit after having gone all out on me in chat during the battle. They never do, but at least it does remove some of the acid seeing them being characterless individuals. I actually screenshot their replies too, my idea was to once create a poster-formatted image of all these chats, just in case I ever needed a laugh

I don't agree with the community being the most toxic one imaginable, it happens sometimes and toxicity in chat is not rare I think, but it is rare that this devolves into toxic gameplay like purposefully shooting me, ramming me about or telling enemies my position etc. What does happen most often is someone reporting me for whatever reason or pinging me on the map as if I'm doing something wrong in their eyes or being a coward or being useless to the team....even though I was not or I had valid reasons (like needing to disengage for a bit to heal back and wait for damage con recharge, or kyting unspotted DD because the rager doesn't see from other side of the map that I'm being actively torped for minutes on end, the rager just thinks "He dont do his job, he coward!". The map pinging and the getting accused for whatever is the most common I think? Somewhat less common are if people keep doing it for like 5 minutes. I simply report them for bad chat if they start getting toxic and if they keep it up for longer they end up on my blacklist (if they do it for like 5 minutes or so and were to-tally wrong). At this moment (just did a count) my blacklist contains 17 people, so basically once every .....200 battles I blacklist somebody? Imo this isn't a lot and if someone passes the 5 minute mark or so or is very provocative while trying to inject as much toxicity as possible into my brain, welcome to my blacklist Maybe this sounds strange to some but for me personally I think the most annoying part is that people who claimed that I was a coward or being worthless...and after the battle see that I was top spot or at least did (much!) better then he himself did...that noone ever comes post-battle to apologise if they end up being wrong! Noone! To me THAT is the most anoying and most toxic part. because it requires true character to be able to do that. I'm wrong too from time to time, which is why I try to refrain from calling out others before I know what is truely happening.

True about the low increase in total DPM, but I was more so considering some situation like when he fired a salvo "Oh, now I can turn quickly and I'll be angled again before he can shoot my broadside" and then he reloads. It's a potential balancing hazard and (and this is more a personal opinion of mine) I think it would look and be silly if a BB would get a 80% reload booster. Another option could be to decrease the reload boost but make the booster last longer. But lets see what will happen, same with PEF. I'm happy these ships are getting some attention now

I'm also happy to see WG working on PEF (the Mackensen) though I'm pretty sure it will get balanced Not so sure on the reload booster for Jean Bart, +50% reload seems like an aweful lot. Maybe tone it down a bit and give it back one of the heals? Pretty sure it's similar to the reload booster of the halloween cruiser, but without that ridiculous heal I don't have a problem with the idea of a main battery reload booster or other 'gimmicks', provided things remain (at least kinda) balanced.

Haven't the camos also gotten better? It 'could' explain higher prices? The collection containers do seem more expensive but don't they also contain more stuff then the old ones? #3 I can agree on. But perhaps some people prefer the ease of such a purchase? But it's probably not my cup of tea. I'm not getting #4? I suppose you are referring to the closure of the option to get cheaper ingame doubloons? I think the reasons stated by (I think it was) Conway did sound plausible, that it hurts their business and the large scale in which it started to happen was costing them for something that was unintentional? The power creep is a thing of games made by WG, but frankly I think they did a pretty good job balancing the lines that came after the Brit BBs. Their premiums also seem to have (more then once) gotten kinda lackluster reviews, but I don't think any of the most recent ones are grossly OP like the premium carriers, Kamikaze, Kutuzov and payfast are? I do have to say that I don't know what prices were like a year ago? Maybe they were much more cheaper back then. But frankly I think WoWS is already a lot more friendly to players who are on a tight budget then WoT is. Of course they want to make money and perhaps they sometimes do it in ways that are...questionable. It's your hands on that wallet, keep it tight if you don't want to pay. As long as they listen to us and take us seriously and don't start turning the thumb screws...but it's a good thing to have people on their guard so things stay balanced in some way, while keeping the game experience pleasurable and a quality peacetime activity. As long as it isn't pay 2 win, I still consider this a game (unlike WoT maybe which to me has lost its charm in search for more $$€€€).

We shouldn't forget that WoT has a much larger player base, so they outnumber us so no problem!

I would definitely miss the RTS carriers as I very much like playing them in operations, but CV is too OP right now. It's as if the carriers are in a league of their own and we are fighting a mere secondary battle on the surface. I'll enjoy it while it lasts

I managed both missions today and had to jump through a couple hoops but it was diable. I ended up doing the 150 main battery hits mission with Atlanta and it was literally seconds before our team won by reaching 1000 points on the last within-range enemy I rushed The 30 plane kills I ended up taking out my Ryujo in which I got the remaining plane kills in 3 battles (actually managed to win 2 of those, which is a pretty good feat considering I don't usually play strafe-capable carriers in randoms ever). I brought a div mate for the plane kills. Good thing as I may have plans this entire weekend and maybe won't have any time for WoWS.

Played last night after midnight, so technically it was today. Off to a great start , unlikely I'll be topping this one today. Almost got torped by a teammate twice that battle and it took a while before I actually did any damage Replay added for whoever can be bothered. I got this one last night. Had an odd battle with my Atlanta where a battle that could've ended either way turned into a 6-kills victory (and I almost got torped by a teammate twice, after already having gotten succesfully torped (and reported by the that teammate for "not opening my eyes" ) in my Atlanta by a teammate the battle before that ... and having been succesfully torped by a teammate earlier that same day as well. At first I saw "30" so I thought it was the 30% coupon, which it turned out it wasn't after reading a bit more closely. It's gonna remain unspend.
