    And they were very good-looking

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Ran into @wilkatis_LV yesterday who was divving with a clanmember of his. Lucky for him I had my very pretty camo Later in a random I ran into @WG_Lumberjack in his Minotour while I was (trying to win) in my Izumo. That game went something like this Till next time you 2, fortunately we were on the same side

    Server restart - 04/07/2018

I wonder what the reason for the downtime was?

    Indianapolis Marathon (01.06. - 16.07.)

I managed this one with a lot of luck (3 decaps in Shscors on a capping Bismarck). I do see lots of DDs smoking up at the edge of a cap without going in But at least I see fewer carriers

    Cyclones [poll]

    a) I thought it was due to this that Affeks suggested this, but I'd prefer to hear it first hand instead of just assuming this to be so. b) I don't know Affekt and I barely know you (though I 'know' you better then I know Affeks, whatever value that may hold), but I'd prefer to be able to make up my own mind instead of having to rely upon an idea that to me isn't even explained, only stated as if it were a clear and simple fact (which it isn't).

    Cyclones [poll]

I'm ok with a flat one. Btw, I don't understand why (in your opinion) a percentage decrease would make it 10 times better in iteself?

    Cyclones [poll]

And what sort of rework would it need?

    A noob's rant on low-tier CVs gameplay.

Back when I was leveling my tier 5 carriers (some months ago) I rarely met tier 6 CVs but if I did, that means there's also a tier 6 CV on your team. Communicate with him, if he's a decent CV player he will know of your weaknesses. Use him and assist in stuff like spotting. Frankly I think Bogue was a pretty nice grind, Zuiho was a bit more difficult (when facing Bogue) due to its more fragile fighters. And the sealclubbers don't make it easy as well. But trust me, it becomes worse once you start meeting Saipans and the REALLY good CV players. Might then as well just put down your mouse, they will outplay you every milimeter of the way. Have fun! Btw, CVs are fun to use in operations, if you love operations you will love playing those with the tier 6 CVs

    German BBs

When I was grinding my Gneisenau, the one thing that worried me the most was always an enemy CV with AP bombs...because sure enough, they would try to prioritize me (and yes I got deleted multiple times, or I lost so much citadel health at the start of the game that I had to play conservatively the entire rest of the match. What good is 5 heals if I can barely heal anything back? It was absurd They are nasty. When I was playing my Gneisenau, it was by far my #1 worry. And enemy CV players knew this, they didn't care that I specced for AA instead of something like secondaries. I'm glad a rework is coming, games with CVs are kinda messed up right now.

    2 Days, 2x Supercontainer, 2x Motor-Boost Mods???

This! I think the speedboosts modules are very useful, especially on French cruisers and any DD I guess. The active time of the speed boost consumable is pretty long, so the added duration is pretty good. I'd be very happy with 2 supercrates the last few days. Today I gotten TYL with 4 deto flags (no duplicate). Then my second one was...another 4 deto flags (no duplicate again). I don't play DD atm so I got tons of those deto flags, they are the most common ones in my stock and I hardly ever blow up anyway. And now someone is complaining about free 1.2m credits? The speedboost modules are pretty good. It's the repair ones I end up never using, even the spotter plane modules found some use in my fleet
  13. It was actually the one that to me stood out the most. Should provide interesting gameplay and it's different from the same ol' "Kill x this" or "Do y damage to that" missions. I'm not getting why there's so much toxicity towards these new temporary consumables. If you don't like them, then just pretent the event isn't there or don't log in. But the event hasn't even been announced yet on the main website and I see the complaints piling up I'm more worried about them messing up with these missions in making them too hard/circumstantial combined with having to succeed a lot in order to be able to receive its rewards. But perhaps I'm not taking this serious enough? To me it's just a game and as long as I find it fun then who really cares?

    USS Seattle Gun Range wtf

I didn't play Seattle on PTS. People tend to focus on the really top stuff and perhaps it got burried with the Arsenal and its tier 10 ships.

Coal is the New Commander Slots

I'd prefer the commander slots though (or at least a choice of commander slots or coal). They are (or were) probably not in a container I selected as I hadn't gotten commander slots in months now.

Operation Cherry Blossom - Your First thoughts?

Another 3 games: 5 stars, 5 stars, 4 stars. It's a fun coop but with the difficulty level of this tier 8 scenario (of which the tier 7 ones are supposed to be harder then the tier 6 ones) this one is easier then even Raptor. I mean, I did all these 6 scenario battles without even having used a single signal flag (might as well start using the credit ones as it's apparently a guaranteed win here). They might as well have kept Narai and not nerfed Hermes. At least there I used all-premium consumables and often decked out on signal flags. This ops is fun, but too easy compared to how the tier 7's are and were before those got nerfed/removed. I could even describe Cherry Blossom as easy-going, which was not the case for pre-nerf Hermes and Narai was semi-easy-going. Now I don't want to have another fun operation nerfed to the point where it becomes more frustrating instead of fun, but they should really reconsider the difficulty level of the tier 7 operations if this one stays the way it is (playing Atlanta and hiding behind Ruan most of the way to exit zone is not what I would describe as fun).

Operation Cherry Blossom - Your First thoughts?

For some reason I never gotten around to doing this ops on the live server till just now. Played 3 battles. 5 stars, 4 stars and 4 stars. Frankly this ops seems even easier then Hermes was before that one got nerfed (RIP fun operation for my Atlanta). And it's real easy to do with anything that has a large range. One battle I ended up with a couple Kutuzovs that smoked up at the carriers and shot from there, my Balti couldn't do anything because everything was too far away It is fun though, but it reminds me of Hermes and Narai, both of which were fun to play at first. I tried this with the tier 8 USSR cruiser with stock hull (which had spotter plane instead of radar) and iirc I could also hit the airfields that way.

    Next t9 xp premium?

As much as I dislike CVs in randoms...I fully agree with this But I'm gonna wait and see what Alaska will bring, it's a ship I really wanted and I hope it's not gonna be a letdown in any way (especially if it's gonna be expensive).
  19. I noticed I got a lot more fxp (750) instead of signal flags when selecting TYL, though I also want to mention that (obviously) the sample group is really small. I have waaaay less of those signal flags. I think the old way was good, I could play till I gotten the 3rd crate, but would need to either be conservative or my stocks would slowly dwindle (some of my signal flags I barely use because I have so few left now). But anyway, having to pay for the signal flags is kinda like having to pay for premium ammo in WoT, you pay for to have an advantage in the game (little more fire chance, little better consumable reload, little bit faster ship speed, etc). I'm perfectly ok with WG wanting to somewhat limit the amount of signal flags, partically so us players have to pick and choose which ones to use (I don't typically use 8/battle, more like 3 to 5 on higher tier BBs and fewer when playing my tier 8 cruisers, again to conserve signal flags). I want to stress that I am also ok with prices for signal flags in the arsenal (for purchase with coal, gotten through daily crates) is higher then when getting signal flags from crates by chance (because with coal you can choose which ones you want! So I'm ok with such signal flags being more expensive). I do think prices for signal flags in the arsenal are on the high side. I also think it would be a bad idea to, in whatever way, promote the purchase of signal flags for real money (or doubloons) in order to have these slight advantages in the game. Mind you, I'm mostly referring to the ones that (slightly) change battyle stats, not the economical ones. It's a good thing that many of the signal flags can be gotten in the game by achievement (first blood, I always find that a fun one when it happens ) and I do believe this should remain. But making signal flags more rare will also have a couple more nasty side-effects: 1) People might be tempted to sealclub more, in order to get the signal flags they want 2) People might get tempted to play more selfishly (so they care less about the team and the battle) because they are on the hunt for achievements, and not the victory. Both of these would be detrimental to the game I believe. Now to reiterate what my point was, I think it's a good addition to the game for us to be able to choose between receiveing coal in order to convert to signal flags (more expensive, but you can pick the exact signal flags that you want) or doing the RNG roll, receiving more signal flags but including signal flags you might not want. You could still sell these for credits, but apparently some people here like to hoard and perhaps brag a little bit (no offense). I kinda noticed the same thing with the one-time-use camos. People 'complaining' about the hundreds of single-use camos they gotten...but I presume most don't have such vast stocks. I did a count recently and my total was around 250 or so? But this includes camos I intend to save up for either nasty grinds (think Izumo), specific purposes (missions where I need to grind silly amounts of xp/credits/whatevers) or because I think they look pretty. An important reason why I have so many (yes I consider this many though I know there's probably over 9000 players here with over 9000 of these ) is largely because I bought lots of perma camos during the last sales for the ships I was grinding at the time. Also I make use of the free/reward ones and using those is always better then having to pay one for credits (I'm at 13m credits right now, so every time I save 22.5k credits I save a little again). I'm sorry for the long read, I hope I haven't bored anyone to death

For 750k fxp I think the DD-831 USS Goodrich would be fitting (mostly due to its name ).

    Next t9 xp premium?

Adding Alaska behind a steel wall would certainly alienate them from the NA server, sorta negating their efforts into cohersing players to come back to the NA server. The first moment I learned of Kronstadt, I thought "This is so perfect for Alaska!" and I really want that ship, if only because it's so odd, because it was really build and because I think it's a beautiful ship. WG would likely shoot themselves in the foot if it's something harder to get then for fxp at tier 9 (be it behind a steel wall or as a clan/ranked only reward ship in any imaginable way). Looks interesting! But isn't there already a De Grasse in the game? It's a different ship then? I think adding Vanguard at some point is kinda a nobrainer here

    Repair Kit Bug-ish

But it doesn't 'heal' any modules (like a rudder or broken turret), these will stay broken when using heal party.

Get FREE Stuff with Friends in "All Hands on Deck"

So how does game balance make NA server people leave the game? And weren't there fewer players on NA server to begin with? Perhaps someone should just ask them, there ought to be NA players who had returned after a long hiatus and are active on the forums there. Indeed WG could learn from them. Dunno what kind of things WG would have to self-reflect and which hard questions they should ask themselves? When looking at their actions (so not to what they said but what they did) to me it seems they have imrpoved even during the relative short timescale I've been active here.

    Repair Kit Bug-ish

Do you perhaps mean that you were on fire and while on fire, you got hit by some torps which caused a flood. But when doing the repair, it fixed the fire and the flood continued? Or that you hit the repair (which fixed the fire) and while repair party was active, some torps hit and you still received a flooding despite repair party still being active when you got hit by the torps? Just to clarify, you meant repair party (which stops all continuous damage RIGHT NOW and fixes any broken modules like jammed rudder and broken turrets) and not the heal party (which basically repairs damage you already sustained, but in essense is a heal like in lots of MMORPGs)?
  25. From the French containers I was unlucky till the last few where I gotten the tier 6 and 7 ones in the same batch iirc. So far still none gotten in the free freedom containers (I'm still missing the 1750xp Indy mission one though, dunno if I'm gonna get it).
