Personally I actually like the option to play through a ship faster. FXP needs to be earned (takes a long while) or is paid for and to me it seems there is plenty of poor players who do have the number of battles required to grasp the basics of the game, yet still underperform. Regarding the fxp, the same thing can be said about the higher tier premiums (especially tier 8). People will play like a brainless chicken no matter how many battles one makes them play. So basically I'm kinda ambivalent towards players who skipped, partially because it requires an investment of some kind and that limits the amount of noobs in the higher tiers. WG also made some changes to those test accounts? For instance, players borrowing a test account to try out WoWS will play on the PTS instead of the live server and won't be messing up randoms again with their absolute ignorance (though admittedly this isn't the player's fault in this case, but good development from WG here).

I actually checked the numbers a couple days ago due to a clanmember having mentioned the numbers (both of us are ex-WoT players and both left for the same reasons, basically). WoT declined roughly 10% to 20% the last year or so, differing a bit from server to server. Overall, the last year numbers in WoWS seem to be stable. Where is this ignore feature? I wish to also make use of it. EDIT nvm, I figured it out. Added the same person and the Manda person as I don't like politics when I want to ship Thanks for mentioning this option, I never even considered it

A way to identify seal clubbers
NothingButTheRain replied to Paulus001's topic in Newcomers' Section
This was actually intended. And I'd it was a good thing to happen. Though there's still a lot of clubbers left, especially aircraft carriers. It's actually common to have 2 CVs on each team, as there's so little AA present there. You know... the thing is that it's actually a good learning experience to try out a ship (or plane or whatever) again after you've grown a bit. On my NA account, playing the Omaha ended up being a real treat! And I was still limited to a crappy captain without CE and with the cheaper dispersion-only camo, but it's all in knowing the game. It matters so much, it's easy to take this for granted and blame something else. Though truth be told, tier 5 still is a very tough tier to play in as a new player. It really helps them if there's cover available and the lower tier maps provide better in this regard I do believe that things become different when clubbing consistently and often using something that is already OP (like a Kamikaze) along with a maxed out captain and full signal loadout. That's just cruel- 34 replies

Agreed. And an option to show only non-elite ships. I'd very much like to be able to filter ships according to my mood or according to what I want to do. Filter by ships that I want to grind. FIlter by my elited ships that I kept and occasionaly like to play. Or being able to have more then just the "primary ship" category. I could even use an option to make a ship a secondary ship. Best of course would be if one had full freedom in tweaking these categories themselves

I want some ARP ships! :'(

This is actually a good point. Wish I could hide some of my other ships though.

According to WG the stats were too high...but having played Hipper a lot recently I think the other cruisers at the same tiers are a bit meh. I still think it's a bad idea to nerf a non-radar cruiser line with all the radar flak going on recently. It's just an extra second of wait with having to put more focus into the gimmicks and not waste the potential of the reload booster...just so one can 'break even' with the CM from before the nerf.

Yes you read that right I see a lot of complaints and imo it's not as awesome as last years legendary halloween event was, but overall I had lots of fun with it! The single missions that can appear each battle I liked. I also liked that these missions were available in coop and most were doable. And of course the goodies are great! It was kinda harder to get loads of extra single use camos though? At this moment I've amassed 38 shark and 23 eagles camos (along with an unknown amount of those USA camos), which seems a bit meh compared to the 100+ revolutionary and the tons of space camos I gotten during those events. But the other container goodies were very nice. The shark and eagles camos look nice and the bonusses are ok. I haven't tried out the permacamo as I don't own wooster yet. The only complaint (sorry WG ) I'd have is that it was kinda unavoidable and that it changed the behavior of teamplayers (like DDs popping smoke right at start because they needed to use 5 consumables for points) but I think this is ok mainly because this event was temporary. But anyway, it was fun! And I think WG gotten enough flak now so a thank you would be nice I think. So there I go, thanks!

Hey WG, here's a list of premiums we need but don't have (hint money for you)!

I forgot about #13. I'm not really into DDs right now, so can't really comment on those. -

I do want to add though, usually I either have liked the map changes or new maps, or the changes didn't really matter to me. The Icy Islands map looks like a totally new map. Why not keep both versions and see how things go? -

Btw, my first impression of the most recent map changes, I really don't like these changes. Make the maps more dynamic? Sure, lets combat camping and make it more brawl-like. Less incentive to plan ahead, you can just sail anywhere anything, no more movement restrictions. To me planning ahead is part of the game and I'm not even particularly good at this. But dumbing down the maps is, to me, not the way to go. And especially the new Ice Islands map, it very much resembles already existing maps that I don't really like, like Tears of the Desert and Mountain Pass. See the similarities? They remove some of the uniqueness, especially on the North map (like the small islets near the center, which I think make this map stand out from the rest). Perhaps I'm wrong about this, but I haven't really seen people react to these changes yet. -
Partially played in coop, as I was also grinding some modules for some new ships. I wonder, does the number of crates include the ones you got from the arsenal for tokens? Or only the ones that were gifted?

IJN B-64 and B-65 classes. Pan-EU 1047 Dutch BC class IJN premium Yamato (4th unnamed unit that was never completed) or perhaps IJN Shinano (as a CV, or perhaps as somewhat more modern BB as originally intended) USN tier 10 Clan Reward-only ship DDG Arleigh Burke. Its got no guided missile stuff and only its main gun, but it got 50km permaradar (not as consumable) and itself has a conceilment value of 3km Don't forget about Hms Thunderer

Why does Developers seemingly try to kill Shimakaze?
NothingButTheRain replied to ThinderChief's topic in General Discussion
Well actually, what I notice often is Shimas sailing to a cap...barely touching the edges...continu sailing towards map edge and start spamming torp walls towards enemy spawn while the cap they just passed turns red -

Could even add this ship as a potential pan-European freemium at tier 9 Or at least add it to the game And Hms Tiger, also a battlecruiser but similar layout to Kongo and the Derfflingers -

Rotation needed for tier requirements in events( Why is everything T-X??)
NothingButTheRain replied to hgbn_dk's topic in General Discussion
And iirc the ironic thing is that WG responded to requests to make it partially tier 10 because it would better limit the amount of (premium)noobs in ranked. When it comes to competitive play, many tiers are now de facto P2W. Excluding premiums would be the obvious choice, but it would cost them money in the short term and I don't know how they might take that. A possible solution could be to have only 1 rank need tier 10, to exclude the noobs as requested before they made ranked a partial tier 10 event. -

Yes that's the arsenal I was referring to. I think I don't understand what you mean by Here you're basically asking till when the arsenal will last, as in when it will be removed. If you meant the Go Navy portion of the arsenal (the arsenal contains more then just those items), I don't know when exactly it will be removed.- 67 replies

I do totally agree with your stance here. The first time at tier 5 was really very bad. The more open maps, I was spotted all-the-time! Btw, I didn't even have CE when I first played Mahan It was my very first tier 7 and only since 2 days or so did I elited her -

Low Tier Research/purchase costs
NothingButTheRain replied to pzkpfwv1d's topic in General Discussion
For new players this will help a lot! For me, the changes to the selling price seem rather trivial, so I don't really see the problem here? Overall it seems like an ok change? I'm not sure in how much this was needed though, but it will definitely help the really new players. But otoh, wouldn't this also mean that there will be less grinding by actual new players and relatively more clubbing going on in the lower tiers? -
