I've never enjoyed playing DD as much as I am enjoying playing DD now and that is all thanks to the rework and the inability of the majority of the potatoplebs to adapt to the new meta. And I fully exploit that. It is naive for anyone to think DD is unplayable now. Picking the right ship for the job is part of being a good player. I see so many DD players rushing B at the start of a carrier game and getting whipped due to rockets and spotting (usually they last a couple more minutes till they really start racking up mistakes and bad plays and finally die). It's as stupid as waking up in the morning and doing a morning stroll on the iced up lake...except now the season (I mean meta) has changed and the ice has melted. Yet they keep trying to walk onto the lake and expect to stay dry and when they fall in, they complain about how they are just helpless victims and you just don't understand them or something. That's not a victim. That's called being dumb. And yes, this is sad. Makes me doubt my confidence in humanity

I think some AA ships should be kinda invulnerable to carrierborne aircraft. If I play CV, I simply won't go near them. And all classes have some ships that are kinda immune to other specific ships. And it's nice to have AA ships that at least can't be blapped by carriers anymore, like they could easilly be deleted by carriers at will before the rework...which was just kinda absurd

And this is exactly my experience. Just as an example, I had a battle yesterday in which a certain Tashkent (who happens to be a forumite on the German section) asked me (a Benson) to come with him and a Stalingrad to A. But I didn't want the enemy CV to stick a hundred rockets up my a**e so I went horizontally on the minimap to the DM. He said "wtf Benson??!?!" and some other stuff which was along those lines and I simply blocked his messages and ignored his request as I did not want to go die there and went C instead. Sure it took longer but the end result proved that I was right. The enemy Conqueror deserved his 2nd place, he was the one that blapped both my tubes and he was one of the 2 I ended up killing. The Conq worked his **s off and was rewarded for it. I really tryharded this game, played half the game with both my torpedo tubes permanently knocked out (blapped by Conq HE from up close as he tried to push B cap and I wanted to prevent B from falling into enemy hands). The Tashkent quickly died at A. Our Shima at C died not long after this (he got radared while in the open). Soon I also got radared in C and lost a lot of hp, but I had an exit and the DM for my support and this facilitated my survival. The stalingrad in our team also died quick but due to him sailing an OP broken piece of s**t he got rewarded similar to me while I worked my **s off to make it work with an enemy Midway still around. All personal skill from the stalingrad driver, obviously. And yes, if I could pick to have stalingrad or a midway on the enemy team, I'd always prefer to pick the midway. And look at the shima on the enemy team? Very obvious that in this current meta it's totally impossible to play DD with all the permaspotting and no amount of personal skill can make Shima work anymore . And the DM in my team really deserved the +1 he received from me

This is true. But I have never gotten a chat ban. I have gotten reported by people like this, as my karma usually goes up here, then down some battles later. My karma mostly remains stable due to all the negreps I get, or I'd be in a steady increase of 5 to maybe 10 karma each week or so.

What's an ENB? Exactly this. And expecting to do a full reinstall of Windows would be asking too much I think. I haven't received a warning (I don't need cheats to rock ), but especially since I installed the 8.0 client as a fresh one (I still retained the last 7.x for replays) and not even having updated my graphics drivers in several years now (I don't like to tinker with stuff that isn't broken anyway), I'd have absolutely no idea where to even begin to start looking. But I do believe that most people who actually do voice this opinion, are actually simply fraudulent anyway and they know very well what they did. They just have no other option left than to keep crying so hard till WG change their minds so they can retain their account and keep on cheating.

How about removing radar from this brokengrad altogether? It's beyond stupid that this stalingrad can not only effectively lock me out of 2 caps )I'm playing Benson here) by just sitting nose in and being able to outtank all the other ships in my own team. But its railguns and moronic reload are the worst to dodge. I'd rather face a fracking Midway!

How about WG finally nerf this stalingrad? I had my sole shitty game in benson today because this one stalingrad not only locked me out of 2 caps while the rest of my team evaporated. Once I started capping and the stalingrad rushed me, he was too agile and ate only a single torp while his railgun HE basically killed me in 2 salvoes. And yes this was a carrier game and no the carrier was not worse then this brokengrad in ruining my gaming experience. Had my worst game due to this brokengrad. Stalingrad has what exactly? 60 minutes of 12.5km radar or something?

The event got extended, which meant you could get these containers till somewhere in januari 2018. The containers were available to anyone. I did not pay for the shortcut and grinded the DoY (along with all of its collectibale crates) the painful way and completed that collection. My shoulder did not aprove of this You already played wows back then, so you had an equal opportunity to complete this collection. Yet I agree that it's a good thing that old collections can get completed again after a waiting time of about a year (13 months in this case). Asking a million times would not necessarily mean that the release will be sooner. That would be bad practice of WG and alike to the whining kid crying for a cookie until his mother caves and gives him the cookie. It will result in the kid doing more crying as he's rewarded for it. And frankly, I hope WG doesn't give in to this similar kind of complaining. I'm happy for you that you and others will most likely soon be able to complete their collection now. But I frown upon the extra drama some people utilise in hopes of getting their way.

Exactly my experience. Not when I'm top tier as I barely play my carriers anymore. But played a game with Shokaku, ended up in a tier 10 match andddd.....well it was kinda pointless. I somehow managed to do 35k damage by a lucky citadel on an enemy Amagi but I was out of planes constantly, ended up at the bottom of the list and got carrier by our friendly Midway. But I just felt useless and it was no fun for me at all frankly And getting at the bottom of the score charts even if I try hard (like managing 7 resets vs tier 10 ships like Repu and USN ships) is not really enticing to continu to click battle with these ships selected.

Broke my personal damage record for Benson (so only the ship, not my all time record) to over 100k dmg and yes this was a carrier game (and yes I know this was yesterday) I even had some epic games (with not as equally epic teammates) like these ones. This was my situation in Benson ina carrier game at the very end of the battle and yes I survived! Oh nice, so you also have GK now? Could you spare me your build? And when cancerdivision?

To add to what @Klopirat alraedy said, on the PTS the BotNC crates are 5k coal for 5 crates and each crate contains 2 collection items (final price and contents still subject to change blah blah etc you know the drill). Should be fairly easy to complete so you guys can also get the DoY really cool camo So far I collected all 3 really cool camos

Ah yes, had such a thing a couple times myself. It usually happens due to either me getting impatient with the laggy ui (and you need a loooot of patience with this laggy ui nowdays) or when I click something too fast for the laggy ui. And then I click it away as gentily as walking backwards out of a minefield again....sloooooooowly. And accurately

Or play another game mode. Or change tiers. Tier 6 plays a lot differently from tier 8 already. Usually I have tons of lines to grind, but only actively grind 1 or 2 of them. Currently I'm in love with my Benson so much that (despite that I only started playing Benson seriously since after the rework) I'm already a mere 53k xp or so till the next And I love the Ghoul skin it has!

Benson gameplay today. I think this was actually my highest damage game in benson yet. Yes it was a carrier game, but the tier makes a lot of difference. The so called perma spotting is not much of an issue to me. DD is still perhaps the most OP class in the game. Carriers are weird, it's hard to make them fit somewhere.

And btw, I'm having tons of fun with benson right now. I even prefer carrier games over non-carrier games as people are more unsure and inexperienced with h2p and I can capitalise on that.
