My guess is that the fighters were basically removed because it is what made the CV class OP, which in turn caused battles to be decided before the countdown at the start had run its course. it was referred to dumbing down the game, iirc.

0.8.3, 0.8.2 and 0.8.1 are not the hotfixes. 0.8.0.3, 0.8.0.2 and 0.8.0.1 are.

I don't hate it. And there's more people who don't hate it. I don't like the current iteration of CV meta in randoms but as I didn't like it before the rework, I'm basically back where I was before the rework playing CV mostly in ops. I think you're overreacting. Too bad you think that way but in the end that's not really my problem anyway. Ranked is mostly toxic due to the players, not due to the mode. The mode is actually quite fun. Flambass tends to play relatively more of the 'older' ships but I don't like how he often seems to blame it on "these teams!". You could have a look at some of the less popular wows streamers. In a way, wows is just a giant 3D advert. And it's easy to sink a lot of money into it. Btw, have you tried the operations channel ingame? It's usually fun when it's running but I have to be honest that it is kinda dead right now. But if you got a couple mates to div with and a fun clan to be part of, it can vastly extend the having fun part of the game

One player dying ending up with ZERO base xp Allied Jervis going afk and running into the edge of the harbor (afk that is) and being out of the reach of any enemies. So we end up with me being in the exit zone, one BB being well anywhere and the Jervis alive and AFK for half the match...loss One DD dying before I even get my first strike in, really? (well I was more like looking around a bit before actually comitting to an attack but he died so fast it's unreal). I only tried 2 times or so so figuring out the ropes and still averaging at maybe 150k or so, so I got a long way to go Ranger seems pretty decent now actually. I don't know about Ryujo yet, haven't really tried. And the flood changes are also coming soom tm.

The spam and IFHE is really what keeps Atlanta alive right now. It's really not even that good a ship unless you got a 19pt captain ready to go and even then it's basically a Kitakaze but with paper hull that eats pens and citadels from stuff like Kitakazes even But it's a jewel!

Perhaps in some way, it's actually preferred to have such players buy their premiums first, then leave the game instead of them never buying a premium and staying

It is a point even when tier 8 and top tier. And my point was also that it's kinda a negative response to someone who can be described as a mediocre player (no offense intended @Beastofwar I still love you ) who gets his second Solo Warrior ever. You could've given him a little compliment even. I mean he is also top score of his team. Be happy for him Take the happy tourist route instead of going the semantical route to say his personal accomplishment basically means nothing for you. Yes, this was kinda the point I was trying to make. I think SW is so rare, even having gotten it by luck is worth a mention. Maybe it's even the most rare standard award in the game And like I said, SW is easier to get with a carrier than with any other class. I think I got mine with a DD btw.

Well, there is AA focus to one side and enable/disable AA(and secondaries) entirely. it's not much, but at least it's not totally passive. And yes, I really liked the dodging of flak bursts as a new game mechanic and planes now having hp instead of the more RNG focussed yes or no we had before

I don't see what is so strange about updates being planned a couple ahead. Of course 0.8.4 will be planned before 0.8.3 is even finished. We're not even at 0.8.1 yet. But I suppose you meant 0.8.0.3 and 0.8.0.2, correct?

I think CVs are worth trying in operations btw. I played the majority of my CV battles there And a while ago I actually got some of the permacamos for some of the lower tier ships because of operations. I haven't grinded everything yet, but I've come a long way now. Even got all tech tree battleships except for Montana (but I did cheat a little bit with the German BBs ). I've done restart accounts in several games already. It really gives a fresh perspective and I noticed how much I had improved playing on an essentially empty account again

So you're sick of getting tier 10 matches in your tier 8 all the time? Well, you're not the only one my dude. One thing I can tell you is that your suggested option is extremely unlikely to be implemented, but there was a change made in the MM recently that at least supposedly made tier 8 ships be top tier a bit more. If anything, I did notice getting into tier 9 matches a bit more often but overall I wouldn't describe the change to MM as a landslide. Kudos for going into the trainingroom instead of only coming to the forums to complain. Yes, the difference in strength between tier 8 and tier 10 is quite substantial and I think part of the reason is that tier 10 ships are relatively strong tier for tier (maybe tier 5 vs tier 7 comes close). On top of that, tier 8 is the longest grind featuring 2 tiers difference in your disadvantage. Having said that, according to your stats there is a lot of room for improvement and my guess would be that you skipped tech tree ships with FXP (or you were extremely unlucky with the operations medals). Please remember that, generally speaking, the higher the tier, the better the players and the more unforgiving the maps are. This game can take a loooong time to get to know, it's really very expansive. Heck, I've been playing for like 1 1/2 years now? And I'm still improving (used to be more like average 52% winrate last 21 days, now I'm closer to average 60% winrate last 21 days and I play much higher tiers now). Personally I don't really mind if someone is good or bad at a game. I care about having fun mostly (of course being good is also fun but lets not go there for now). Regarding you playing (and paying) your way into higher tiers will get many people salty and I used to be like that a bit myself. Nowdays I don't really care anymore. Your game and you decide how you want to play it, right? But you will have to accept to get murdered in the higher tiers. I mean there's people out there that have played like 10000 battles or more! And you are like 500 battles including coop. But apart from that, yes, playing tier 8 is a pain. Have a nice day and be stronk

So here we have a n00b (or call it a newb, whatever) who is inexperienced BUT instead of the usual whining we see on the forums basically all the time, actually goes into the trainingroom and starts testing. Sure, it may be build upon a flawed hypotheses but at least he's showing willingness to learn and the first thing you do is to crap on him. Is that really necessary? And at least he's paying for the server hamsters as well

It was common practice to often design (or at least keep in mind) triple gunned turrets which were able to mount fewer but bigger guns at the expense of making it dual gunned turrets. I'm actually more wondering about the hull and perhaps its name.
