I ended up just letting it do a repair (like it suggested) and it then installed this microsoft redistributable 2015 ++ whatever thingy and it all kinda worked since. I suppose it may have something to do with the new 64 bit client, even though I appear to still be using the 32 bit one.

This is totally true. DoY is also even better for Narai than KGV is, as the hydro is very useful there and the 1 less heal is simply not an issue. And DoY got the really cool camo

They appear similar in price to the space ones, which also have the same bonusses. So I think it's ok actually. The same stats with the booooring army camo is 'only' 2k cheaper

I think the torps are hilariously fun to use! It's kinda too bad I haven't gotten to play Black in randoms as often as I had liked to. Kinda keep going for Alaska if at all. If you wanna do a Black division, give me a shout ingame and we'll see what we can potato

Personally I think WG did the right thing regarding the inflation thing on steel. Now hear me out One of the things WG did get a lot of flak for, was that there was something of a split between the haves, and the havenots. You either won or you lost. You either got full price or you got nothing! Now you get what you deserve and it depends on your effort. You still get wayyy more for playing higher clanbattle leagues and for attaining higher ranks. Also increasing the income of things like steel while also increasing prices will help in averting a case of where new players can NEVER EVER get anywhere near someone who simply started playing the game a couple years earlier. It levels out the playing field to a significant degree. Personally I think that this particular effect of these changes are a good thing. Now I would like to stress that I am in no way trying to be degenerative or whatever to unicum players or people who manage to braindead their way through ranked with a 50,1% winrate. I just want to show the other side of the story a bit and in particular how it (in my opinion) has benefitted the community as a whole How are you liking Black so far? Once you go Black you never go back?

Ryujo (due to ops) Atlanta has been removed from my favorite ships due to how mediocre it has become in randoms and because of how it quickly gets focussed to death (harrr harrrr) when playing ops (which at the moment means just Narai). These days I barely use Atlanta anymore. Also noticable, none of my grind ships even make it into my top 5 anymore. Cleveland also is not on my list anymore. Both Cleveland and Atlanta are supposed to be DD hunters, but the tier 9 DDs are actually hunting (and outgunning ) these ships now. An honorable mention goes to Pensacola, which was once one of my most hated ships lol

Anyone else unable to log into the game?

Except for really crashing, my problems are as you described. Even merely clicking on my contact list will make the game freeze for at least a minute (I just made it a habit to first click the contact list button at bottom left, then go watch some youtube and come back a few minutes later and re-click the button as it will now open more quickly) and the random freezes which by themselves also last 20 to 30 seconds with the port ui completely locking up. The sound is still going tho. I'm not sure this is still as bad with 8.3, but previous improvements did nothing to stop these most annoying lockups for me.

Are these changes even final yet? Question for you: If you find the glorious soviet battleships too stronk, why are you suggesting the british battleships to get a buff? These ships are getting changed anyway or are proposed to, but other that that I don't see a reason why you would single out only these particular ships as most other lines would kinda 'need' the same buffs, right? And who is to say what country was the most advanced? I'd argue that the USN probably has the best cards in hand for being generally the most advanced in ship design. Well, at the end of WW2 at least. And even this is probably not set in stone. Anyway, I don't really see your point here. Seems more like some lame excuse to give some random buffs to only a few certain ships to me.
