we did our test run, thank you @Saiyko short story - solo dd, cruiser dies in range of 5 - 10 minutes....i was not full AAA speced but also i could try to full maneuver while in real battle i could not do that (islands, broadsides to others etc). i did underestimated DPS of Cv to solo target, probably in some kind of team play it would be harder for him due to other aaa (longer passing over aaa before and after strike....but lets say "kitting side" would probably be very hurt by CV. so with hard heart i must admit i need to change my opinion about that (spotting side aside) CV can eliminate full health cruiser, DD that is solo so it would be must for CW and not optional

Drvosjeca_Adler is nick, i suggest to try to see how long would live "flanking" cruiser like Zao which AAA is not the best around and is/was very much used in last CW

new cv need alot of times to kill single ship so dmg of CV agains 2 supporting ship is very low....as stated weeks or months ago, i am for test aginst you to see how long you need to kill me in cruiser with new CV.....basicly solo 1 vs 1 where i just defend...i guaranty you you in old haku would do that 5x faster. Not to mention trying to do that with 2 flank defending mobile cruisers like Zao or Henry....

there is nothing elitistic saying 43% wr dd does not know how to help himself in most difficult class to play in CW. Also nobody said DD have easy time in CW. Pls try to read more carfull. Main problem for DD is radar not CV...he can not defend from radar from CV he has easy defence (smoke). also, as i stated couple posts before, meta could change, team without dd with with 1 BBs and 6 cruisers has distinctive advantage in DPS against 1 bbs, 5 cruisers and almost to totally useless CV in that scenario. As you said, CV can not do any meaningful dmg to grouped ship, and if there are no DD (in last CW some of top teams did play without dd in some ases with good effect) Cv is just ussles and you have 1 ship less

RTS CV - had 8 squads - speed of planes (DB without bombs) was almost the same - AAA is different mechanics, but overall planes dies fast - spoting range of ships is lowered than in "RTS" age - CV could spot dd same as todays CV + it can spot couple of more spots + it could attack ACTION CV (today) - has 1 squad that see dd in 3 km range - its rockets planes with boost are faster than any old CVs but by a margine - it can not attack and spot in came time (it can but after 2-3 strikes it needs to reload/launch new planes which need at least 15 - 20 sec to arive to spot suma sumarum: Old Cv and new one can or could permaspot dd new cv can not do anting else old cv could spot 4-5 other spots or have 3 dedicated spoters (3 empty DB) + 3 fighers + 2 TB that could striike so really do not see any benefit in new CVs against old ones, permaspoting it is not, because bouth could do that.

Yes you can permaspot 1 ship. Did I denie that? Nop. Is it enought to replace 1 cruiser. I do not think so. That's all Regarding AAA it is as strong sa every. Minekaze got 11 planes yesterday from my t4 RN.

Played almost everyone of them. Did you? And it worked exactly as described. Especially with t10 games and Haku with 8 squads

Did you play when Cvs were allowed into team battles and tournaments? I believe you did. So you know that except cap you have 2 active flanks and RTS CV give permaspot do 4 tactical spots. Flanks and 2 or even 3 caps. Todays CV can not do that. Yes he can permaspot 1 cap and 1 dd. That's all. Personally with playing all 4 seasons in top league with and without CW I would say I personally would take 1 more cruiser instead of CV that's strike capability was lowered and is tied to 1 spot spoting

4 fighters vs 4 fighters and 3/4 of DB/TB. Basically all 3 caps are permaspoted no matter what. Plus you see all the flanks. And this action CV can not spot both flanks, and both caps. It just can not. Its stoopid arguing it can. Also Single squad just can not do the job that 7/8 can. And itf not mistaken now air spoting range for all ships were lowered.

Sadly MM matches t8 and t9 alot of time to t10 games. So except grinding to tier 10 I do not see benefit of playing t9.

RTS ones did permaspoting whole map....that really was to much, and CV were forced to play AS setup which really was idiotic. current CV does not have 1/4 of spoting capacity of RTS ones, and thats why they are totally different class than before and more actepable in CW. when they join CW it will be strategic decision to use CV or not to use....in RTS mode you could not play without it...now you can because current CV have much less impact in spotting and DPS department than RTS ones

yes they belong, they are nerfed hard in spoting and DPS department, and still when 2 ships are together they are immune to cv strike. but this kind of topics are useless because WG did rework and CV are to stay here i ngame and they will return in CW...maybe not in 5-th but in 6-th season for sure

yes if you are noob....we talk about CW and i hope players in it who play dd (probably most dificult class to play in competitive enviroment) are not your regular 43% WR tomatos that wee meet in randoms

Offc you none of this thing do on open and without support. What if team plays with 2 dds? CW can not spot both. It just bring spotting with 1 squad that can be denied quite easy on many maps. Don't forget (we talk cv team vs no cv team) that one team has 1 more ship and pushing cap is also option. Cw in that scenario is absolutely ussles

We have radar in game right now so DDs get radared all the time and learned to counter it. Also baiting radar. So there is nothing new. There are no more torp soup from CV and torps are slow so much less threat. and so one. Real question in team of 7 can team afford to drop one cruiser or second DD to gain low dps and 1 spoting squad. personally I see CW as ship that would bring nothing to CW table. It is not old CW who could have 7 squads in air and still crosdrop DD

Meta will change. But due to very low dps team WITHOUT CV will have much higher DPS and could brute force other team. In last season we saw that team who lost ship first usually lost a game
