It sounds like I would love it! But I dont have the steel. Maybe one day. 😊 Thank you for your prompt answer though!
-
You might have a point. In some few battles that has run their course I did manage about 140-160 k damage. And yes that is one reason I dont do well in bbs. The low fireing rate. In a dd you can do chip damage most of the time and every now and then torp somone to death. 👍🏻😊
-
Not that much steel. Haven’t played a single clan battle, only sprints. What is the Neusrashimy like?
-
I do perhaps 80 k damage on average in the musashi. Like I said I really dont do well in her. In T61 I normally make about 300000 credits net on average.
-
I try to play it like that but have a problem with this balance. Either I push too far and have like 5-6 enemies obliterating me. Or I end up too far back or way out of place being totally useless. ( and being told this of course in no uncertain terms in chat!😬) But I try and follow your advice regarding distance better! Thank you. It is appreciated!👍🏻

True! I make almost the same amount each time with Yorck. Fiji is another of my favourite ships! Förresten gillade jag hur du tryckte dit honom i ett tidigare inlägg vad gällde 100% och hur man räknar. 😀👍🏻 Mycket underhållande! Sorry folks for the internal language! I know it’s an English speaking forum. But I cannot seem to find the Swedish speaking one!😀

I think I AM doing something very wrong with it. 😬 Can’t make it work for the life of me!! But win or loose it makes money. But the T 61 is much more dependable for me and with a 63 or 65% wr compared to 40 something on the Musashi it just makes me more money. I think I play the Musashi too agressive and end up terribly exposed.
-
I have done this also. Bought a lot of portslots during all sales. Choosing consumables containers. I too keep my ships since a year ago and I am grinding 5 or 6 lines at the same time. Always strapped for cash. I have researched 3 t9 and 2 t10 that I cannot afford to buy.😊 I buy 3 days premium with all the tokens from all the events. So I usually have premium all the time! I play Mushashi, Nelson and Alaska to get credits. Even though I dont even play them well. Probably the T61 is my best money machine. Generally I dont have a problem making credits even in t10 without premium. But the problem is that there are far more things I want to spend them on than what is coming in.

Recruited and disappointment.Who Needs new Series?
OldPappy replied to Varate_me_k_as_Klaiw's topic in General Discussion
When (if?) you get to the Mino you will quickly realise that it is a very unforgiving ship. Sure against dds it is fun and you can feel safe from cvs. But you put one foot wrong and get spotted by a bb or another cruiser you get deleted in 2 seconds. Same with almost all us cruisers as well. The cleveland works well untill you are caught in the open. If you survive that you are lucky! All ships have their cons and pros. Very few ships are easy to play. But - as almost all previous speakers have pointed out - with only 300-400 games under your belt you get slaughtered above t5! You WILL meet experienced players with more battles in single ships that your total number. So keep at it as it gets more fun with mote experience and knowledge! Like with all games!!! -
Opinions on an accidental friendly torp
OldPappy replied to UncappingBadger's topic in General Discussion
Fair or not... It isas it is. I get pink all the time because of loading issues. I torped a guy yesterday purely by mistake. I thought no friendlies were nearby. But he went into my torps. He died I went pink. My bad. Yes he had at least 1 minute of warning and I even warned him in chat. But the responsibility was 100% mine and I apologised asap both in game an afterwards. In your case, they should have given you time to apologise!! It’s NOT fair to yell at you before you’ve had time to say sorry. Is there anyone playing this game who have NEVER torped someone by mistake????? But not saying your proper ”sorries” is a crime! -
There will always be idiots and morons out there. If they have a valid point for their complaints, suck it up and try to learn but if - like most of the time - they are just selfish and wants you to sacrifice yourself for their benefit then just ignore them. As simple as that really. Dont let them take away the fun! It is a learning curve like everyting else playing cv. I myself suck at it too and I find it frustrating and boring, but if you like it then play it and ignore the gits!
-
Hitting a team mate with your torps is like rear ending someone with your car. It is always, always your fault for not being careful. No excuses apply! we have all done it! Apologise asap and move on. I undestand it can happen and I dont get upset really about it. I have done it myself so who am I to judge?😊 But not apologising makes you a complete git!!!

Good advice, learn to play.........
OldPappy replied to Hopeless_Guppy's topic in General Discussion
This is very true and well put! Trying too hard to win is likely to ensure a loss. Trying to maximize your damage and xp will get you killed most of the time. Focus on staying alive and the overall objective - as Flamu and Notser especially keep repeating - will often give you your best games. 😊 Nowadays I usually navigate by the minimap most of the time and actually only look att the big screen when shooting or in a knife fight. It seems to help my stratetic awereness! -
Good advice, learn to play.........
OldPappy replied to Hopeless_Guppy's topic in General Discussion
I think the sad truth is that you can get to a certain skill level by practice and experience, but to be really good you have to have a ”knack” for it. I have about 5000 battles and no one can claim I have been rushing up the ranks too fast or using premium ships. I have slowly played my way up. I do well mostly and sometimes I pull off fantastic games. But I am stuck below 50% winrate because I repeat my mistakes too often. (Being far too agressive, impatient and careless. Not to mention that cursed tunnelvision. ) But I have a really hard time with situational awereness. Strategic placing and knowing when to push and where or when to back off. I have come to the conclusion that I will never be a very good player. So I made my descisio to stop caring about stats, wins and foscusing on too many missions. Instead I will just try and have fun, to realax and play each game as well as I can and try to spread a positive feeling by encouraging and helping my team no matter if I loose or win. So whenever I get the ltp thrown in my face I ask them if they think it is likely after 5000+ battles to ltp if I haven’t by now?😊 I have not received a reply to that yet. -
Excellent! Thank you!!

Cvs fighter cover is weak at best. The best Aa cover for a dd is a cruiser, but whenever I am in a cruiser I try to tell the dd about the range of my aircover. I play a lot of us an rn cruisers so the aa is substantial! But most of the time they burn off towards the cap at full speed leaving me trailing juuust outside of cover distance. When I am in a dd I go 3/4 speed and make sure I am covered if there are 2 cvs in the game (2+2). So IF you call for aa support please note that the cv cannot protect you really from enemy air!! And for the love of god try and make sure you can benefit from offered aa cover!! 5 km range of the nearest cruiser and you have aa cover plus your own. So no! You as a cv cannot protect your dds only help them as redcap pointed out above....

Even for a bad player, 2-3 games in mid tier would easily cover 1-2 games in t10. But with all the events going on you can have more or less permanent premium account. You buy it with tokens or iranium or soverigns and what not. 😊 But yes, without premium account and the right flags you need to get more than 230k in credits to break even. I am not a very good player, but I have never had an issue with credits. Always struggling to afford the next t9 or t10, but such is life....

Just saw a 2 hour old video by Notser, reporting from Little White Mouse’s post on the NA forum. Maybe you have already sern this or knew about this mechanics? Interesting stuff in the battle against CVs.
-
I thought it wouldn’t go unnoticed. 😊 But one wants to do what one can in this matter.
-
The Edin is actually quite tough and hard to citadel. It can take a lot of punishment. Good guns and turret traverse. Excellent against dds and other equal or lower tier cruisers. Ok aa. It is a very solid ship and I am not a good player!😊

What have you been accused of, in whatever class of ship, recently?
OldPappy replied to Cambera_1's topic in General Discussion
Being accused of not doing ”my job” when playing dd. Spotting, capping and so forth in a 2 t10 cv game right at the start. No thank you!😊 I prefer being a ”useless pussy” until mid game or so. 👍🏻 -
Yorck. Very nice long range HE spam and surprise AP shooter. Neptune. Played right it’s very strong and fun but a single mistake and you are gone!
-
Agree 1000% with TOLOS. Wows is a GAME. Not important!!! Your father’s health is real life and means everything. Good luck and hope everything will be fine!

Is Yamato even playable with a Tier X CV in the match?
OldPappy replied to Riggerby's topic in Battleships
OP has a valid point. I no longer play Nelson or Musashi because they are just floating damage farms for cvs. It is hard to ”follow” a cruiser unless you are in a division. -
Thank you for your replies and advice!😊👍🏻
