I know the feeling. Jutland should not be like that. It has great detection, good guns, ok torps, lots of smokes and hydros. I think I play it too cautiously but after the amount of games I have in it I should perform way better. In kita its the other way around i think. I am too agressive and everyone and their grandmothers blaps the kita when they see it!! Petro I do ok in, but i dont know why exactly. 🤷🏻‍♂️ So many questionmarks!!!😂 But I totally agree she has a target on her back. Closest feeling was when I grinded Pensacola waay back and felt that every single enemy paused what they were doing to get a cit or two out of me.

Dds are easily countered but subs are not. Dds can be killed easily if you know what you are doing. DD torps can be avoided with the good old aswd hack. Map awerenss tells you nicely how close the dd is. And in a cruiser the dd should fear you! The dds spots continuesly for the team. The dd caps. The dd counters enemy dds. Without a dd ”screen” forcing a sub to close up to bba submerged and severely limits the time the sub has before it has to resurface, the subs can come close to you on surface. Dive and have all the time in the world to kill you.

Yeah, I’d find it hard to get in as well without ever understanding why!?🤔😳🤷🏻‍♂️

Not to mention that large ships are large and easier spotted.

I recognise your situation. I have played almost exclusively this game from 2017. Over 12000 matches of random, solo games. For a long time I was playing very badly but all experience slowly turned this and I am now a solid 51% player. But my wr over the last year is more like 56-60%. Solo play. I am also a dd main. And by the way I love the Öland! Such a good ship! As I am not really good enough to carry a game I am like you depending on at least some competence on my teams side. Weekends are just a tossup!! Only in the last 2 months or so did I suddenly find a div mate and played with him on weekends. He invited me into his clan and now I have a lot of fun when I play. The banter and the jokes make the game itself less important so I actually play bettter in many matches. I stil enjoy this game and will play on until its simply no fun anymore and then I will walk away feeling a bit sad.

This is a delicate symbiosis between bbs and dds and also cruisers. Based on mutual need and distrust from too many bad experiences. I know the need for spotting is a key to victory. The bbs knows this too but so many take the dds for granted, expecting caps and spotting without nothing in return. So many times I see the bbs and crusers behind me farming the enemy bbs and ignoring the open sea gunboating radarcruiser or italian sap cruiser. It is rare to have a bbs shooting the important targets and saving the enemy bbs to the last. So many dd captains have little trust in their backups and then bbs have no trust in their dds sticking around and go for best damage in least time. And around we go….

I agree. Fdg is not as bad as her reputation says. I am not a good bb player but I do well in her.

It’s also a way of telling a player he did well as an extra mark beyond simply telling him or her so. But yes, its s useless system. But its still nice to receive a +1 if you played well I think most players would agree on. Being reported is as we know a joke and often a compliment in itself. Or that a bb way in the back did not think you suicided quick enough to get him a few rounds in. 😂

I play until it simply does not feel fun anymore. Then I quit for the day or the time beingI decide which missions or dockyards to persue and the rest I just ignore. A lot of these just comes while playing. Lately I have only grinded for GK, Kaba and the Marlborough ( because it felt fun. No illusions about it!) If I one day find another game I enjoy as much or more, then my game time on wows will drop through the floor. 😂

Plus I think you got around 11 m credits for the GK?

Played it once sofar. Thought it was fun, but not good or great. 😂 Just fun. I got it mostly as a collectors item and a meme ship for coop etc. For the 4500 dobloons I paid it’s a bit of a bargain. 😀🤷🏻‍♂️

I agree that they are not that special. The bbs I see as floating farms. The dds are not bad but not nearly op. Annapolis doesn’t matter but the Conde is the only one to watch out for. But, as always, any ship in capable hands has to be feared.

My friend, we have all been there at one point or another and we will all be there again. I am in a period right now where I am quite mellow towards WOWS and enjoy it no matter the crap mm and cvs, subs or what have you not. About 3 months ago I was fed up. 😬 But I am still here and will be as long as I enjoy playing it despite developments I don’t like. I overcome them or not, but it’s maybe 1 out of 10 matches that makes me want to ragequit the game and uninstall. The other 9 I still enjoy and I am not the best of players by far. Each player must decide where the breakingpoint is. WG will not make any major changes of heart vs the players. 😊

Good point. Like someone said in a video not too long ago: there is simply no other game like it if you want to play naval warfare of this period. Period! Which is why we keep returning…..😂

Agreed. The problem is not the ship. I am not a good bb player by any stretch of imagination, but I do ok in FDG. And find it fun to play. I guess it fits my playstyle as does the Gneis which by most is considered trash. But for me they work so I do well in them. 🤷🏻‍♂️
