Nope, I disagree, the French cruisers are a light snack if in close, they need to be played with a view to kiting, same as the IJN cruisers. The only T10 cruiser I can think of that more or less fits the bill the OP wants is the Hindenberg and that's far from invulnerable, just a tad tankier than the Des Moines and of course it has torpedoes, but no radar. Hydro is of course handy if you use it right. -
^^^ Exactly that. I can't think of any reason for there to be any type of match "fixing" from WG, it makes no sense.

I agree and at that fundamental level I don't think it's actually possible to balance CV's in the game, they're either excessively strong or hopelessly weak with a massive element of player skill skewing the results. If CV's had a separate game mode where they fought an air war against each other with an RTS style escort fleet of AA bots then the CV's could be balanced against each other with no consideration for the surface ships, could have several CV's per side too. This would actually be a fun game mode to me as an old RTS player. -
While I agree that facing teams of a much higher league can be a painful experience, you do have to consider that quite a few teams won't have been playing over the Easter weekend. As to the number of radars and DD's that's entirely up to the teams to decide what ships they take, there is absolutely zero reason to complain about that. The other week purely for laughs we deliberately fielded a team with 7 Shimakaze all firing 20km torpedoes, we didn't expect to win (we didn't) but we had a lot of fun and the All chat was comical from both sides. As to the gameplay experience Clan Wars games are all T10 ships (with no CV's and only 1 BB) which are far the best balanced in the game and team makeup isn't at all random, so the experience is completely in your own hands.

If they would allow cruisers to mount Defensive AA AND Hydro at the same time in different slots then it would benefit cruisers a fair bit, wishful thinking of course as WG doesn't have much regard for cruisers. Plus Defensive AA has a simple counter as @Sargento_YO said a CV driver with any skill will just wait which makes a mockery of some of the CV apologists arguments about how weak they are. As @El2aZeR just posted Def AA is vital to stand a chance of surviving AP bombings by US CV's, but it's a slim chance as deletion by AP bombs is a very real risk even on ship like Des Moines. To the OP, you do realise that Hydro has:- Limited range Limited duration Longish cooldown If you honestly expect cruisers to be your bodyguard while you sail around in Yamato with 26km gun range (+20% with spotter up) then you're deranged.- 49 replies

Shima concealment improvement - fair enough, through the silver line the other IJN DD's have superior concealment to go with their inferior guns, Shima's guns are inferior. Prinz (and Hipper) currently suffers from a poor reload and very low damage for tier, the buff has been needed for a very long time, Hipper needs it too. The Atago heal is a nice and unexpected plus. -
If you dislike the game why have you played 5,069 battles? I fail to understand.

Yup, it needs Minotaur's heal and Shimakaze torpedoes in addition to its current tools to be properly balanced, it's a bit wimpy as it is.

The aim of the game is to reach 1000 points, destroying ships is only one way to achieve that. If you really feel that you MUST play deathmatch then this isn't the game for you. Translation?

Logically their support staff must have access to clients of various patch levels, not like they have to connect to the live servers to run replays. As to us being able to keep different patch level clients, I'm sure it's possible, but I've never made an effort to try.

Weird that, since the chance of a draw is practically nil, one team wins so I don't understand your comment. I've played 5 won 3. True there's a fair bit of potatoing, but since the cruisers and DD's are spacey versions of ships I already have it's fairly familiar and decent fun, at least to me.

I'm not especially keen on the emblems and patches, but I'm not bothered by them either, if I want to I can mod them out. That said it would be a nice option in the vanilla client to be able to just turn them off for people that actively find them annoying.

@Commander_Cornflakes in his Harekaze while I was being whined at by an overextending Shima and Benson in my DesMoines, grumpy toxic chat which people ignored, but it was a win so job done. Cornflakes wasn't moaning, just nuking stuff -
The progressive loss of frame rate and increase in stuttering over time seems to be cured, but since this patch a new issue has appeared. Periodically the client seems to hitch/freeze for a second or two. Essentially the visual updates just stop and then resume with things having moved on during the freeze, so shells land, ships and planes have moved. It's annoying and occasionally fatal, especially as I play DD's a fair bit and dodging is required. I've tested restarting the client, but it doesn't have any noticeable effect, I get these "freezes" a couple of times a match, had them in Randoms, CoOp, Clan Battles and the Training Room. I have tried completely reinstalling the client, done by using the launcher to remove the game completely and then downloading it from scratch - Problem still happens. Running the client in Safe Mode - Problem still happens.

Is this another "influencer" threatening to take himself and all his sheeplike followers away from spending money on WG products? I'm always amused by these types of threats, they're so toothless and pumped out by people with excessive either self importance or serious delusions. Seen this sort of behaviour for a good two decades in various games and the threats are always more hollow than a vacuum.

I'd like to have the ARP ships, just because they're Premiums I haven't got and I wasn't playing when the event was on to get them. Not going to hold my breath waiting to see if they ever become available again though.
