Indeed, quite apart from the fact that the Argentine Navy should never be represented in a game based around WW1/WW2 and some a bit later, that ship saw very grim service and it's really not appropriate to glorify its Argentine service. WG are aware of that history too and they feel it is appropriate for some bizarre reason.

Not really, spent far too much time with the RN, with wounded soldiers and sailors injured during the Falklands war, lost friends in that war, had a school friend that was on the Conqueror when she torpedoed the Belgrano and worked with the guy who when serving prepared the torpedo that sank the Belgrano. I have active reasons to object to the Argentine Navy being represented in the game, that's not snowflakism.

Well for people like me who on basic principle find Argentine ships extremely offensive, not ignoring the fact it was used as a concentration camp and torture location I will never, every buy it. The Boise on the other hand I would buy, so WG may keep a few customers who won't buy it with the Argentine flag. I would like to see an official statement that it will also be sold as Boise.

    WRONG - Provide evidence, I and many others play DD's at tiers with radars. Learn to play. WRONG - It's possible, it just takes a little care. Learn to play. It's in the game and spamming multiple whine threads won't change that. Learn to play.. Oh and your "poll" is less than worthless biased junk.

    German CV's is irrational as well as being historically bollocks, they only ever part built 1 and that's already modelled (badly) in the game.Royal Navy at least had real ones and they don't exist yet.     Pretty sure you're looking at the modules damaged on YOUR ship there, 99.99% sure in fact. To see modules damaged on an enemy ship I mouse over the ships I shot in the damage tab that shows the enemies.

    So you would like one of the most damage resistant ships in the game (assuming not driven by a twit that shows broadside) to be more resistant to one of its few weaknesses? It already has massive torpedo damage mitigation so air dropped torps don't do much to it anyway. Sorry, no. BB's don't need any more buffs they're ludicrously strong as it is.

    Try re-reading many of your responses on this thread and review what I've just quoted, it may not be what you think you're doing, but it's certainly what many on this thread think you're doing, including me. As you've seen from this thread many people disagree with your assertions and have pointed out the major issue is with your play and you need to consider how to change it to cope better. It is the nature of forums that threads deviate somewhat from the points in the first post, again if you can't cope with that please consider why you post in the first place.
  15. I bought no boxes from the shop, got 1 via the code that was kindly posted, I completed all the marathon missions so far, most were quite easy, some a bit tricky or RNGish, but none impossible. I opened 3 containers a day from normal play, the collection items were in I guess 1/3rd of the daily containers, I didn't write it down. Collection completed 2 days ago when I needed 6 more items and had 43 duplicates so I just used duplicates. In my case I found the collection fairly easy to complete with no special effort.

    Well I use the 12 km torpedoes on Shima and the Fletcher 10.5 km ones on Gearing (same range as the Z-52), long range torpedoes aren't something specially useful, in fact they have more time to be spotted and spread more. Firing torpedoes at close to max range is an exercise in futility unless your target is a spud or distracted. Just so you know, the point of discussion is to reach an agreement by discussing opposing views, you seem to take any views that oppose yours as a personal insult so you're not prepared to engage in discussion at all, you appear to just want people to agree with you. Either learn the true nature of debate and discussion or don't bother posting. As to your assertion that radar makes the game unplayable for high tier cruisers it's simply not true, that's mostly down to you needing to learn how to cope. Incidentally the number of radar cruisers has dropped a bit over the last few days as people have completed grinding some of the cruiser lines and the Halsey campaign. No you still can't see my stats
  17. Indeed, it's people like him that contribute heavily to CV's being hated by many and very unpopular to play by novice CV players. People get resentful of that sort of thing which is quite understandable.

    Kagero any good?

    I'm pretty sure the concealment on Kagero isn't worse than on Akatsuki, in fact Kagero has access to the T8+ Concealment module, with Concealment Expert and a basic 3%/4% camo it should have a detection range of 5.4Km, that's basically equal best in the game at over Tier 5, only matched by a few other IJN DD's. If you're not playing with Concealment Expert, the module and a camo (in EVERY game) then you're dogfood in Kagero. Using your guns has to be done carefully due to people seeing you out to your max gun range for 20s from your last shot due to the gun bloom. The torpedo accuracy issue is in your own hands, they pretty much go where you aim them, but that's a skill in itself. Not forgetting, as I said earlier, at T8+ some people are better at anticipating torpedoes and using WASD, plus the BB's aren't quite as lumbering. People have often figured out how to use Hydro as well.

    For me the Yugumo played better than Kagero, I used it with the 93 mod.2 then mod.3 torpedoes, very nice damage, workable reload and usable guns if you need to. Torp booster was a viable choice and the concealment fine. Ship I liked.

    RPF is a tricky one, on a torp boat like Kagero it can help with a torp blind fire which can really make a difference, however as mentioned it has the drawback that the nearest ship knows he's on someone's RPF, just not a direction or range. I agree with that drawback existing it would be excessively strong without it. I actively liked Kagero and I play my Harekaze quite often which is basically the same boat, it's quite effective if a bit squishy, but it needs some careful play. Radar is a problem for all DD's, but it can be mitigated by positioning and careful play, it helps if the friendly BB's blap the radar cruisers you spot

    It was 4am and I couldn't be bothered to write anything more complicated to yet another radar moan thread. I've been blapped many times due to radar and cursed it, but the KM DD's aren't inherently weak nor do they need some additional special gimmick. In fact they've more HP than most so they can withstand more of a kicking although they don't turn that well.

    All very true although I really enjoyed the Yugumo at T9, maybe I'm just weird which is very likely. @SvR1983 I suspect part of the problem you have is the T8 matchmaking, T8 is bottom tier a lot:- 1. T8 and above there are more players who actually know how use to WASD hax and their ships are generally more nimble or at least faster in a straight line, landing torpedoes can be a challenge 2. There are more radars and hydro's about so it can make stalking your prey a little bit trickier 3. Enemy DD's at 9/10 tend to have much better guns and if they spot you they will actively try to kill you as Kagero is very stealthy at 5.4Km. Kagero's guns are nothing special, they work, but are relatively weak compared to other nations 4. Lots of the T8 and above ships will have high point Captains and will not be stock configs, I use free XP on relevant modules whenever I get a T8 ship, my North Carolina which I got a few days back set to sail on her maiden trip with B hull, engine upgrade and a 17 point Captain (retrained with eliteXP), I'm sure I'm far from the only one that does this 5. Gun accuracy, especially BB's jumps considerably and DD's are prime targets if spotted, the 20s gun bloom can easily get you killed so using guns takes some care, Kagero is very fragile, but reasonably nimble so can dodge quite well There's actually a bit of a gameplay shift at T8 compared to T7, it can take some getting used to.
