No, as he typically does he's showing the ships strengths in a few edited together segments which is fine, we don't see him caught and slaughtered because he lacked the speed to bail, but he makes similar points to Notser. Lousy torpedo angles, single or WIDE (this was slammed in the Cossack discussions) torpedo firing, appallingly slow even in a straight line, pointless Hydro and it's basically a gunboat with tiny guns so IFHE is not optional, but required. A gunboat this slow is useless to me as a DD player, if I wanted to play gunboat I'd go up the Khaba line and not have such a slow pile of junk. I really, desperately wanted to like the RN DD's, but the reviews so far are making me think I'll not bother.

Nerfing a cruisers reload by a full 20% from 10s to 12s just to accommodate a gimmick? This is not only bad for the ships in question it's a stupid idea, it won't add flavour, just annoyance. -
I can't say that I'm surprised by that Notser video, if the ships are released anything like this I may not bother with the line at all and I have a T10 in every DD line other than the Khaba. Very sad to me since we had the N class teased by the Gadjah Mada and it looks like WG don't want another DD line worth playing.

I was very keen to see the RN DD's as I play DD's a lot and have long history with the RN, these just look very disappointing. Slow, bad torpedo setups, pointless hydro and smoke camping in a radar environment, won't work well. -
If you damage higher tier ships then you most definitely get more XP and credit rewards than if you did the same damage to a ship of the same tier. That depends on range to an extent, Bismarck is saddled with poor dispersion at much past 12km, Republique is not, plus his secondaries would be hitting you harder than yours would hit him if you were in secondary range, additionally T8 secondaries struggle to set fires on T10 ships, there's a built in reduction of fire chance shooting at higher tier ships.

So your argument is that all things can be brought to an instant halt by a random event and this is a good thing, but then you mention you can prevent that with a signal flag. Doesn't that seem contradictory to you? It certainly does to me. Sorry your argument makes no sense at all.

It could be a stepping stone to seeing the end of this crappy mechanic, I'd prefer it to the status quo which means the damn silly thing exists.

No, they've put in one single interface for the resources that can be collected, Coal and Steel can be collected by anyone so the Arsenal is NOT appropriate for a Clan Base, nor is it suitable for the Inventory. They have added a resource that can be used for a variety of things and also removed the very annoying RNG element for getting the special upgrades which was Supercontainers which, if you actually got one and it had a special upgrade, probably contained one you don't want. Your ranting about the Arsenal is ill thought out for what's basically an improvement for the game and verging on the rude in your responses.

Had the Des Moines perma camo for months, I can't say I'm surprised that it's a waste of the Doubloons. I'm not usually cynical about WG attitude to business, but I can't say that I'm surprised.

The only reason I played WoT was as a result of a popup in WoWs, this was in April. Either your popup was invoked when the offer wasn't current or you could do with checking what offers there were in April. I had no reason to install WoT without that popup. Kindly check @MrConway -
I'd not seen the patch notes. Captain Slots gone? Excellent. Default currency as Silver? Excellent. I don't play CV's, but a UI bug (which I believe plague CV players) fixed? Excellent.

I'm a bit confused how making a new account is of any real benefit, it would have no experienced Captains, no premium ships, just a more experienced player, unless a fair bit of money is spent on the buyable Captains which seems a bit silly.

The term Twinking was used long ago >15 years+ in MMORPG's where you got gear on a high level character and put it on lower level ones, especially stuff that was account bound, but not character bound until equipped, also crafted stuff and taking a poorly geared character along with a team of guildmates that splat an area to gear the character. I'd not heard of "smurfing" before this thread.

That's one of the good things about the current Clan Battles format, flexibility of approach. We've been using a single Yuey in our team, either me or a clanmate, it's a reasonable option. We've tried lots of other DD setups too although not one we did for laughs last season of 7 Shimas with 20km torpedoes, wasn't a win, but both teams had a lot of fun, we told the enemy at the start we were just messing about in that battle. -
I'll probably go Sharks, it's a bit of a "who cares" to me as I bought the Perma camo for Worcester a day or two before this event was advertised so I basically wasted 5k Doubloons. @MrConway any way to get my Perma Camo swapped to another of my T10 ships so the 5k Doubloons doesn't feel wasted? I'm sure that's going to be a no, but if I don't ask it's a definite no.

Nope I only have 1 account and 1 WG login under the control center, I most definitely completed the Tutorial and multiple battles, I have no idea how it can't be registered, I will log in on Wot again and double check. Checked and please see the attached screenshot @MrConway. I only played WoT after I got the popup in WoWs, downloaded the client via the launcher played the tutorial and then 16 games in Randoms, not touched it since the Premium didn't appear in WoT or WoW they share the same Premium as is visible from the screenshot. I don't know whose account you were looking at, but it certainly wasn't mine. -

I've just completed the North Carolina grind and I totally sucked with it, which is very odd as the Alabama and I get on rather well, as far as I can see they're basically the same damn ship! I know there's nothing wrong with the NC, it's just me. -
You've got better stats than me (I know you're a better player, we've met in battles), but I share your viewpoint radar is manageable and far from a killer of DD gameplay. I play all the stealth DD's and apart from when I screw up which is my own misplay, radar is an inconvenience and not a death sentence. I certainly try to cap and spot for the team, I don't believe in sailing round the edges to farm damage unless the objectives are secured. @Fonfalks is either exaggerating to try to make a point and failing or he simply hasn't learned how to play effectively.

Which would be utterly useless of course since the game relies on lock on to govern dispersion, you keep posting this and it's never going to:- 1. Work 2. Be implemented 3. Tie in even partially with the existing game mechanic where if 1 ship spots another their whole fleet can see and lock if in range the whole game would need to be re-coded 4. They would have to adjust every radar and hydro equipped ship for their effectively removed consumable It's a nonsense that you keep wheeling out. The WG staff have said repeatedly that radar doesn't make much difference to game results, either learn to deal with it (like many DD players have) or don't, but stop whining it's achieving the square root of jack all. -

Incorrect, as a DD player I totally disagree. Learn to play issue. I'm no unicum player, but I cope. Incorrect. Learn to play issue. Nope Nope OK, but this has been moaned about for ages and it's not going to happen without some significant coding, since their statistics say that Radars don't have a significant effect on the game outcomes it's unlikely they will put the effort in. Petition should be changed to put and end to Radar whine threads. -
It wasn't aimed at you, I quoted you and I can see why it would have seemed like it was pointed at you not the other posters brutalising the language. I rely heavily on context with the way I read and I find it uncomfortable when people use the wrong words.
