Yes, it is a bit like knowing a DD that you cant see is spotting you and you change course and speed hoping that you got it right or get blown out of the water.

That's almost a good idea. Now if they made it Subs and DDS as a separate game mode the CV BB and CA could be balanced easily if there were no DDs in-game

Elite commanders can be assigned to 4 classes of ships. I realize that you have to pay for this assignment the same as any other commander and I don't have a problem with that. Let's take Yamamoto Isoruko as an example Now I may be missing something here but in my way of thinking I have him assigned to The Yamato and he's trained on that ship Now I assign him to Zao and I pay to retrain him on Zoa then move to Hukuryu and pay again then move to Hargumo and pay again. He has 4 skill slots one for each class so I don't have to change skills. If I move him back to the Yamato which he already trained for I have to pay to do this. To me, those elite commanders when trained on 4 different ships should not need to be retrained on them again and be free to switch. If you wanted to put him on another ship that he had not specialized in that class then fair enough you pay to retrain say for Izumo if you then moved back to Yamato you have to pay that is not an issue. They should retain the training for one ship of each class otherwise it's pointless having them with 4 skill slots

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

Yes i enjoy playing Fuso against a North Carolina or Queen Elizabeth against Bismark very even match though I must admit I would rather fight a Montana in an Amagi or a GK in a Monarch. Constant uptier is not good for anyone but it is easier for a tier 8 to do damage in a tier 10 battle than it is for a tier 6 at tier 8. -
More is less (the upcoming Commander Skills Update 19 -> 21 points - most current "reference" builds will simply cost more in new system for same functionality and will deplete great deal of resources and cause months / years of unnecessary grind)!

I'm sure I read in the update the commanders will not work at 50% skill level they will only have the skills available when fully trained unless this has been changed? -

This new skill update holds nothing for me it won't improve anything nor will it make the game more enjoyable. They have early access and event after event so people will play more battles. regardless of what anyone tells you WG base everything on battles played not the actual number of players.10 players playing 10 battles each is 100 battles and means the same to them as 100 players playing 1 battle each. When you had a larger player base they gave nothing when it started slowing down they introduced daily missions for containers then it was coal. The research bureau is another example. they say they won't change MM to avoid waiting time battles used to be pretty close now most battles are one-sided so you either win or lose before the 20-minute timer runs out and get people back in the queue. Every new line the release has a gimmick and normally power creeps the previous lines. Add to that a few ships for resources like Thunderer and Smolensk to get people to grind the required resource
