TVI American Light Cruiser - Dallas

sorry Aragathor, but buddy what? i understand about Aoba and others but don't put the best t6 ship in there. It's buddy that casts a shadow over the others.don't need any help to shine for it's own. Moving on. about dallas, you are saiyng that will go more in the lines of Omaha, like a Konisberg /Nurnberg will be the same for Omaha/Dallas? Well, i can't say i wasn't expecting something like that. but A light cruiser with that much reload?152mm vs 203mm. That's simply dirty, Perhaps it's time to LaGal step up from cleveland's shadow and claim what's rightfully his.
  2. there. it's what I usually do in my bb and with some of my cruisers. if you get in time to C5 you can even stick a citadel or two in the Aoba and Kuma in that gap in C4, wait then take one at a time as they reach D4, then sink the dds. after that proceed forward you can citadel the next batch of cruisers or put some fires through the C4 gap as you pass by. angle your ship and take down the cruisers. (usually they go via C2 and C3) next thing, if the red cv survived, you are now in range to sink it (it can be as close as 3km, pay attention to the planes there will be some torps), if not, you can start working on the red bbs. Instead of being pined down by the bots you give your team the ability of crossfire. If they are shooting at you, they will, the raptor it's not being focused. you can be the safety net to your team regarding the Ryujo. the last bots will shoot at you, relieving the rest of the team from enemy incoming fire. p.s. if the second wave cames from the bottom you will have less time, you have to be quick but still you have the time to intercept them as they reach D4. If you spent more time than the you liked, one alternative it's D6, close to the island but be aware of torps there will be a lot of them in your way. the first attempts will not go smoothly, but with practice you will gain the notion when to be, where to be.
  3. Go via c5 (after the second wave) you can get the lot from there, a ship or two there plus the rest of the team can put that ambush in a crossfire. and if you are lucky or good and in on time (you have to be there, so, time it right) you can finish the Aoba and Kuma as they pass the island at your left. and citadel them to the kingdom come. that way they will never be a threat. you know @IanH755, I've been reading the things that you say about your Molotov (I'm more of a buddy kind of guy). but as I'm dead tired from work, my blood isn't pumping as it should, so I decided to give it a go in my Cleveland. p.s.- Nice to see you back. .
  4. What about epic useless morons. Apparently I've got reported for being a camper, me. Ahahahahahahah. Guess who? And that [edited] is ranked 16 th. Perhaps was he that stole a lot of kills from me. Hashtag Butterdoll sad.
  5. guys, guys, I can't stress enough about C5. (map location) It's a tactic that I apply often when I'm in Bayern (lack of speed) in Raptor. Go there after the second wave (Aoba, Kuma, Myoko) , one or two ships the most, you can mess up the bots. you can catch the Aoba, the Kuma and some dds that show up there. then you move forward to the next island, there you will encounter the bbs the Aoba and Kuma. Not only you give some breeding room to the rest of the guys but also you are in a position to cut off the second cv. If your teammates don't get it. With a cruiser, the last part may be tricky but it's doable. Buddy strikes again. I end up with less than 1000 hp but I was in a cruiser doing what I usually do with a BB.

    stuck on island

There is a famous IIWW story about a US pilot that was shot down and ended up watching the all battle unfolds from his dingy or life jacket ( I don't remember know) Later he was picked up by search& rescue. Perhaps WG uses the islands to provide us with similar experience. But truth be told that what's more common when I beach. the experience that I most live it's more in the lines of those sailors and pilots that have excruciation deaths after spending 3/4 months at sea in a dingy, (well without the 3/4 months at sea) Notser- I almost got out. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahah

St. Louis Citadelled! IT IS POSSIBLE AFTER ALL!1!

Furutaka and emile are nicer. Omaha was nice until I unlocked the others. Recently I returned to furutaka again and it's still nice, I'm experimenting against t7 ships and I think that I will exchange it's captain, for it's original captain that it's in Aoba or Myoko's. (I don't know yet.)
  8. there's definitely something wrong. I just had my wind knocked out of my sails. I'm done for today. I just been in killer whale with the worst team I ever had, ever. And I'm not exaggerating So many things went wrong. 1) I went with my Bayern and it was the first time I could go in front.(so far so good) 2) the other group that went to F1 entrance called for help (I went there) 3) while I was shooting at the Kaiser we lost the cv and one other guy by that first dd of the 1st reinforcement wave. 4)then a group of Cimarrons tried to escape, with a leander by their side, I had to give chase and sunk one of them 15 km away, one of them escaped. (that never happen to me before), 5) by the time I sunk the second bb coming from the north, we were only two. 6) I asked to the other guy to go to A9 while I went for the cvs or to get killed because I couldn't reach it in time, the other guy didn't go. operation failed epically . 5)

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

And when I looked to the minimap I was all alone in my flank against 4 or 5 ships, concealment and Flamu save my bacon in this one. " don't shoot until you can" And I lived to fight another day and survived to tell this story .

    RPF in cruisers

Well, until now RPF never were use in cruisers (at least that I know of)... And for some time now I'm thinking about it. And I know that only "spots" the general position of the ship that's it's closer to you And I would like to ear your opinions because it's a skill that demands 4 points, so not very cheap. the advantages I got in mind are. 1) they will never suspect of the cruiser when you are in a flank with other ships or with a dd close by. (general use) 2) it would helps triangulate the ship position more accurate, when you are with other dd. (general use) 3) when the cv it's in danger of a lurking dd, or other ship. (specific use) 4) It Will help if a red ship enter your lines, and if it is a dd you will have much less trouble in the cat and mouse game. (specific use) 5) With RPF together with MM information you can buff your concealment, you can "see" a ship's there and if you can't spot to a certain point that only can be certain ships (that will spot you first like dds, cruisers and some BBs) and then it's up to you what to do. (general use)

    RPF in cruisers

Ok Then, as I suspected it's the way to go.

    RPF in cruisers

So, I'm not the first one. well, I was not expecting that (competitive ships being brought out). And that leave me curious. Because the videos I see always or almost always have the ship with two builds. What's the difference between a ship for random and the same ship for competitive? One it's more multipurpose and the other more specific oriented?

    stuck on island

Lucky bastard it's what I got to say. A cruiser or even a dd never have your luck. yeap, that happened to me a few times. Beaching on broadside it's more difficult because not always you can go sail again. So avoid islands

    Battleships are reduced to targets

thank you. that's exactly my point. p.s.- I was killed by a t8 german dd that was supporting the bb.

    Operation Hermes

when I unlocked the Algerie my first impression was that it was good enough to make me think that I was in a cl. I like Algerie it's a reliable ship, a solid ship. My only frustration with it it's in this particular op. While the cls are pumping ROF like was no tomorrow, I'm waiting for my guns to reload. And my other only choice it isn't a choice. Algerie it's simply better. with other ops I don't get this problems, especially with Algerie. My second best t7 ship. something a little off with this op, in my opinion.

    Battleships are reduced to targets

sorry I didn't understand , what's irrelevant? it's neither to be relevant or irrelevant. and after this French collection/missions DeGrasse will return to operation only status. No, I'm just bullyng the op a bit (all in good sport, ofc). I'm not claiming CA are... what? and no, it's just one example among many (I only have a few) and meanwhile I presented another. And no, it's not my best game, nor my best ship for that, feel free to check the right topic for that. Well I'm not able to, it's a pity that the sunk ships are just showed as a number and not by type and tier, but I'm not in a mood to take screenshots of every single battle. BBs are a target? yes they are. It's as simple as that. yeah... Emerald, I'm very fun of that ship, you can citadel it with HE (poor bastards) Now in a more serious note only there are ships like Emerald in the front lines while the bbs are behind some rock but in the forum the bb players complain about being a target. you, know what? Yes, you bet they are. So often the only thing contesting a bb it's a cruiser or dd, because... I don't know... feel free to check the right topic for that too. @Jack_the_Stripper BBs are still a target, specially those ones behind a rock or humping the border, those taste like honey But hey, we can't sink our own bbs, can we? so the other bbs are like that...honey. And @Capra76 I just went to check your stats, well you are not a bb main. So, shame on you for defending those piles of useless Babies.

    Operation Hermes

It's not that I don't like Atlanta, it's more in the lines of I don't have a Atlanta. the only one I got at t7 it's Shchors and it's russian Overconfidence? (Belfast)
  20. Butterdoll

    Battleships are reduced to targets

that I agree, sometimes a dd can put a cruiser in dire straits when he fails to contest cap in the beginning. being focused close to cap it's more of a thing than RNG coming from a BB.
  21. Butterdoll

    Battleships are reduced to targets

Er, yes. and that's only because the French mission.140 games in random DeGrasse it's one of my dedicated operation ships. But I've got more BBs sunk with him. that was only an example.
  22. Butterdoll

    Battleships are reduced to targets

ok, ok. Are you kidding? this map it's new to me I felt completely out of my depth I didn't know what to, where to go, etc. and then the germans come up, and something clicked and all fall into place.
  23. Butterdoll

    Battleships are reduced to targets

@Jack_the_Stripper I just dropped by to bull you a bit. this it's just one example from my games from today. almost three down, a billion to go, thou.
  24. I have about 7000 xp to go plus the final mission. And I picked up along the way Bretagne? the t5 one All done with cls

    Give all cruisers heal?

I never said that as a norm, nor in a brawl or duel it's a good way to complement the cruisers work or to simple complement your AP assault or in others situational opportunities, you shoot once and it's on fire. In your perfect case I wouldn't be a cruiser main. well , I can easily find 3 examples of good offensive manner. And that's the point. So you think torps In a bb are a gimmick and yet they have better torps than some cruisers, and better reload times than some cruisers A good portion of them. (IJN included). So, why there are high tiers BBs with t6 concealment levels, superior to high tier cruisers concealment? And equal or slightly better than t6 cruisers? this makes no sense what so ever if we apply your logic (tier related, ships height, etc). But , I guess this is me being biased. yeah, cv reworking, we had that, the year of the cv, Graf Z. and others things. Look to them now.
