In one, I've got 4 points but no skill chosen/selected yet, so no point allocated. In the other I don't even bother with that one. I do this when a ship it's new and for a while (not long) when I fully upgrade it and the time needed to make up my mind.
-
because it's a brand new ship and captain with only a few days in. Other ship it's Pensa with a 7 points captain with no points yet allocated, I removed the old captain to another ship.
-
yeap, we are the bots now. only two stars, once. the rest are strait wipe outs. some of them at the very beginning of the game. So, no stars, again, just another pile of failed missions. bots with a 19 points captain? My York captain has 4 points not allocated yet.
-
that I don't know but they always could be destroyed by ships and planes, so the presence of support was always needed. I'm going now to a starless sky.
-
There's certainly something wrong when you and another guy it's all that's left of 7 guys...after the second wave. (the first bbs) or it's the floating turd (Pensa) that make us lose. Not once, not twice but more times that would be normal. Being the normal (before), none. And when the dds appear (whiskey guys) the team (not full combat effective, by then) is being pressed by all sides. the few times the team, whatever the team, pass them (usually, one bb and one dying CA) the port it's overrunned by the bots. And... you know, the WoWS player base was not replaced by aliens overnight. At least that I know ... @AdmiralDing3Ling you can say and think what you want about the WoWS player base, but I always played solo (for no particular reason) and I did always just fine in operations, yes an occasional epic defeat here and there but nothing like 98% wipe outs and the players are the same when I did my best ops games. And clans are not a guarantee, most of them are meh ops wise. @wilkatis_LV laugh as much as you want but I will say it again the bots are too strong. They are hitting harder and they are better organised than before. Especially when the casualties start to pile up and you have got to "multitask" (lack of a better word). In my last game I asked the other two bbs to go help the cruisers, while I went for the Atlanta, with Kato, the Cleveland went for me because there wasn't anyone there. Next time I will shove my Ubercruiser down their bbs throats. @lup3s Some guys asked for the HARD mode, well here we are. Something tells me that won't be a NORMAL and HARD mode because time in the queue (I remember the time when I spent 5 minutes back in tier I waiting, did you eared something from me?) But if the two levels will coexist, no problem, each one of us get to choose from the two. But if you (you as in general) want more, just go competitive, the challenge it's there. If you don't find challenging anymore, co-op, random, ops.(the large amount of the player base) Just go to the next level ranked, CWs, and so on. I too wanted to see t5 back in ops. (at the time if I remember I was almost alone in defending the t5s in ops). that never changed, from before to now.
-
well, I'm going to fetch me a couple of no stars now.
-
ohhh, so it was that. I played a lot this two days... Only managed to win twice, and by wining I mean mission accomplished twice. all the rest, mission failed. No stars, no nothing, a lot of the missions were lost before the whiskey guys appear. if it's not the golf guys it's the Pensa that shoot down planes, if it's not the Pensa, it's something else, the times that are almost there, there's always someone needed to defend the port that went for the raptor. Once my entire team but me and a bb got killed just after the Cleveland and Atlanta, two guys against all of that. (the battle didn't go for much long). I was starting to question myself wtf is happening in there. And it seems that was just a role reversing thing. some 20 ops, 18 of them with no [edited]stars. Not even one, strait out wiped out. What the hell? I guess we have to thanks all those guys that said that was too easy, those same guys that wanted the HARD mode. But I think it's not just the combat effectiveness, but some chances in the AI because when we manage to hang on until the whiskey guys, other guys appear from the Cleveland site and gives a beating. And before not always that happened.

How about bbs got spawned at the front in the first line? Cls at the second line and dds in a third line. that way , when the dd reached the front he could have a battle line ready to support him.

Poll: Map Proposal "Dynamic Iceberg Map"
Butterdoll replied to MrWastee's topic in General Discussion
Oh, thanks... I think. yeah, high tiers... I know what you are talking about, i encounter some already, the poor bastards ( some t8 and t9 CA players) even in the games where they are up tier (against t6 and t7), some act in the same way if they were still fighting against t10. They seem shell shocked to me. while t8/t9 dds or bbs don't have that problem, being the dds most dangerous to the t6/t7 cls. The few experiences with t10 ships I've got it's with bots, so far. but I see where you are coming from But mind you the initial proposal never said high tiers nor which islands. the islands I'm talking about don't serve for or as cover, little bird drops in the map that I personally wouldn't like to see them in there let alone moving. things like this (below). I sincerely don't see how they would help t6s, t7s, t8s and perhaps t9s against higher tiers. No. I rely heavily in WASD while kiting or charge into a bb when I manage to single one out, so I want space to manoeuvre. And in some maps could happen that ice could cut off the passage to a cap point making impossible to recap it or worst, turn more maps into the two brothers middle bit. too fast, that could severely impair one's ability to manoeuvre specially in low speeds. Just imagine you are trying to gain speed or at full speed and in a crucial moment one of this things get in your way, you're dead. the little bird drops islands already do this, pushing ships out of position, put the ships in awkward positions, etc. Dependable of which tier you play, you only have certain maps to play, when you advance to another tier you have a new selection of maps, that you don't know, I have over 4000 battles and I only had one go in the tears of the cruisers map so far, a hand full of lands of fire, one go at the Ocean and more. In my opinion all of us should play in the same maps from t1 to t10, the only chances would be map dimensions. this point only would make map unfamiliarity worsen. Again, no. That only would take from certain classes some precious tools needed just to survive. Some units of them at some point are low on health by then. -
Poll: Map Proposal "Dynamic Iceberg Map"
Butterdoll replied to MrWastee's topic in General Discussion
I don't like this idea a bit. there's too many islands already. Some are just there to grasp the ships. floating icebergs, no. they will diminish the manoeuvrability. and there is a lot of collisions between ships on the same team already. Less islands and more open spaces, yes. -
ANOTHER ''Return of the Collection'' (Bismarck) - Seriously WG?
Butterdoll replied to Hades_warrior's topic in General Discussion
yeap. And besides either way I will get my Bismark. And there's another thing. I want that collection completed, ok? If you already have that it, good for you. But I don't. I already earned the FNFL at the first time and in the hard way, you don't see me beach about the 4th time that amazing flag it's a mission reward, do you? And besides, the rewards that you speak of are crap. I always said that and still it's my opinion. the rewards should be more historical oriented like the collection are. Hey, but if you feel happy with supplies and crap, knock yourself out with signals and special consumables and all that clunk. with time I made one exception, camos. Yeah they boost your concealment , and make you earn more doe but the main reason is because they make my ships prettier. and gives another visual to the ships. -
Well, about two weeks ago I injured myself, nothing big or dramatic but enough to put me in the dry dock WoWs wise. So I only played some games today and I went to space for the first time. The space thing could be as awesome as Halloween ops. but it is not But with the sounds (very confusing), the visuals (very confusing), torps (are just invisible), islands are just invisible on the mini map. I don't know if it's just my computer but the graphics overall are meh ,seems like the black sky issue on random battles when server starts to get temperamental yet all it's working fine. Just tiring to the eyes and not immersive. I have to look to the minimap to see where the red ship it's pointing. Why torps? could be missiles or something alike and more visible. So could be better . I simply don't know what I'm doing when I'm there, it's all very confusing. Once the torp alarm went of and I could not see the torpedoes or the red arrows for the all time I was lucky because they miss my ship. I'm liking Moskva . despite all of that
-
No. it's just my overall feeling or my take on that. And it's not just that. there's no sense of speed, sense of direction, when I'm with the goggles on, instead of the sea (in this case the space) I only see black, plain black, solid black with a sorry [edited]white lines ( must be the little squares of the map). Even doom was in 2d but gave us the impression of a third dimension. Navigation ,I have to see the minimap to navigate, see where the other ships are facing. the ship I'm in seems full of hydraulic stuff like a TIR truck or a bus, full of noises that don't mean much. The only thing good on, I've got the chance to preview the T10 ships. But I don't know which one I'm in. the first game I though I was in a Moskva I found it very strange so I asked in game and turns out I was in a DM. So which one is the others? Zaya? Norma? which one it's the Hiddenburg? But apparently I'm not the only one. I sunk bbs? (all destroyer) and didn't get shot at once, why? (15 kms away) Maybe others are as clueless as me. Halloween ops was cleaner, clearer. And why shells, what about star trek, star wars, Galactica (2004) stuff?

Premium ships versus T10, which do you enjoy?
Butterdoll replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
Being bottom tier it's not always a bad thing. Depending of the ship. One of the reasons is: Some quantity of factors are in play, not only ship vs ship. Being down tier could give you certain advantages (like greater ROF cl vs ca, being smaller, more agile e.g.). -
Premium ships versus T10, which do you enjoy?
Butterdoll replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
I think it has to do with the fact that a premium ship it's a product. perhaps they can't change a product even if they want it. -
Premium ships versus T10, which do you enjoy?
Butterdoll replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
perhaps, that's my why. Makes sense to me. If you ask me which is my favourite line I wouldn't know what to answer, how to answer. And if you ask me to "make" a favourite line or what would be like my favourite line . I had to cannibalize several lines if not all of them. WG could capitalized on this. -
Premium ships versus T10, which do you enjoy?
Butterdoll replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
Funny thing. I'm just the opposite. I find much more worthy to by a premium camo for a ship I truly like than buying a premium. Some ships can turn in hybrids between the two, only lacking in captain transfer. I don't know why, but I don't "feel" the premiumness when I'm in one, feels like a regular to me. In a battle and after a battle. So I putted my premium in a operation only status but even there I don't play as often as I play the others, in fact I rarely play it (and it's not a bad ship at all). And other premiums I just sold. Because they were boring or are worst than the silver counter parts. e.g. Emden vs Dresden, I prefer the second one. funny thing, I can't explain why or put my finger exactly where. Even my evolution trough out the tiers has slowed down because I'm still with my work horses and having fun, so, I'm not in a hurry. -
Looking for a Cruiser line (or singular ship) that suits my requirements
Butterdoll replied to M0bius_One's topic in General Discussion
well, after seeing your ships and your lines. I made a similar post a time ago where people advised me. They help me a lot. But don't get much hang up with lines, go for specific ships. Kuma, Budyonny, Nurnberg, Gneise. Some are very squishy but the weapons are great (Nurnberg). -
I didn't even vote. But I can tell you what I'm expecting to see. If it's possible with a budyonni or a Nurnberg to infiltrate the red battle lines undetectable ( with certain maps and certain modes) you can do this in that ship and more easily in more places in more situattions. (6.8 kms). Cap? Perhaps not, but then again only a few dds are masters at that (contesting). So if you are not in those few, you are not in a position to contest anyway, or at least knife fighting especially against those ones. Spot? Yes you can spot. Camping BBs? They already do that. I'm not saying that it's amazing, I'm only saying I must see it first in action. Perhaps Hit and run tactics, back and forward both lines and with 20 km torps I think you can stay pretty much undetectable. if that dd can herd a bunch of bbs behind a rock, it's doing his job. Asashio it's a specialized predator, and nothing more, if it's a good or bad thing let's see.

You know what? Back at 1945 my country celebrated the allied victory but there was a problem... despite being neutral, the regime at that time was fascist. In fact, our president of the counsel was a huge admirer of Mussolini, we had a secret police too, not as nasty as all the others at the time, but very bad nonetheless and we a censorship. So what we did? Well, at that day in the main square of our capital. screams of joy, Hurra, England (our oldest ally, way, way older than the Napoleonic wars) hurra, France, hurra US, and hurra Benfica. Benfica it's a football club. through out that day you could see the flags of England, France, US and...Benfica.
-
Don't. I love buddy. And Gneisenau and scharhorst are...were cruisers and still are. So , the ones with the problem it's WG. Not us. Stalingrad it's not WG's fault either. the only to blame is none other than Comrade Stalin. when faced with two options, he choose the Kick [edited]version, bigger, meanest. Leaving the top officers of the CCCP scratching their heads to figuring out how, for what it was good for. Yeah, everything that carries his name had to be a swamp of blood.

Battleships - Unsuited to current Operations/Scenarios?
Butterdoll replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
Hope you don't mind here are my routes the red one can do a few citadels before the island, from the first to the second cross, you can support your team at f5/f6, when you reached the third cross you can broadside the entire convoy and releasing the ships almost immediately strait to D10. then proceed to the cvs and the last bots after that. with the yellow one (because of lack speed), you can still do citadels and a lot of damage as well drawn a lot of fire away from dds and cls, here brute force will make the bots turn to torp you. general I leave the cvs for the team as I escort the ships back to safety -
Battleships - Unsuited to current Operations/Scenarios?
Butterdoll replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
Fun fact... or not. In raptor there's a bot that I fear the most, I think it's a Myogi, if I'm not mistaken, and it's when I'm the closest facing four ships at once in the final stretch. It's name? Mijo. In my language Mijo means Piss. Like taking a piss=Mijar piss=Mijo So, when it happens not even a 5 star win can take down the fact that you just got sunk by Piss. when I or someone of my team sinks Mijo I can breathe more easily. Uffffff! I made it this time. At that moment there's a lot going on, and I'm always in the back of my mind. Not by Mijo, not by Mijo... -
well, the best space game franchise ever made was in 2D.
