sorry, just venting... Killer whale it's a fun operation, where we (players) don't have to worry about defending, escorting, babysitting, a nice change of pace. In fact, it's the only operation where it's strait up aggression. I'm playing ops almost exclusive since ultimate frontier (hard mode) (t7 I'm catching up, I have to), next the French mission where I played with the only ship I've got to play it (the TURD doesn't count, it floats barely, and that's it). When I saw the Killer whale op, I'm playing my Cleveland (saying my goodbyes before it is send to the slaughter house as a sacrificial lamb). Let me just say I wasn't fresh today, I am tired, so not at the top of my game. And I know, play in a division stuff. But came on, 6 games, 3 defeats, 1x5 stares, 1x2 stars (WTF?), 1x3 stars. How 3 ships manage to get wrecked by the Kolbert and the Kaiser up north? How in 5 of those games we allow the red tiny and flimsy bots get in the harbour? How in the hell in 3 of those games the team didn't came out of the port? How in the hell in 3 of those games I was the only one shooting dds, the kolbert, dodging torps and keeping planes at bay? How in 2 of those games only the cls went for it ? why? Lack of balls?

well, to answer your question. It depends which type/class of ship we are talking about. the War chest probably will be more whoosh... puffff. Not even a bum. Let's see.

@Infiriel, @eliastion do you See? and you are left with a overgrowned Atlanta and that's it. Most probably, the same fate will happen to the Cleveland. Being a good and solid, though skin t6 cruiser capable of Multipurpose. Now will be reduced to a thing in the map behind a island. yeah, I'm whining because I will loose one good cruiser at t6. This it's the problem of all co-op battles, not enough bots. Doing well can be a lot related with luck, if the bots choose you. In one of my best games on this map I've got lucky. I didn't suck and the bots choose my side., the same side of your bots. I sunk four and I just fired a couple of rounds with my gneise (torped two bb, sunk one CA and rammed a nurberg I closed the distance aggressively to not being torped by it, but the rudder time was not the same as the cls, so I could not avoid it ). But I just can't go over 4. In this battles I just wait for a bit longer or don't commit to a side too early, in other battles I just go full steam ahead. either way all comes down to luck. Apparently you didn't have any in this game. even so, your results are superior to mine (you got 1764, 1049) I usually get 600 in a good day, twice I got 800 and 900 but it was with premium days.

yeah, in the store. I have some doubloons in the game, standing there i will not expend more until I need. the problem is there's no more ships to buy in game. So, I think I will have doubloons for a while.

yes, you are right the t7 ships have the best MM of 5,6 and 8. But t7 ships would not hold as good as t6 e.g., if the MM was not as benevolent. In some forms t7 ships have very similarities with t5, being other transition tier. t6 it's my election tier and I don't feel it's got a doomed MM. yes, you get down tier a fairy amount, but it's not as bad as the 5s and the 8s, and when you are down tiered it's not the end of the world. And with one exception my best results in ops are with t6 ships. Play solo, you will not need to division up.

For better or for the worst. you saw what happen very recently when WG turned up the heat (ultimate frontier op) and what a wipe out that was. Even for the specials ones the degradation of skill over time perhaps it's not a bad thing, maybe it means the community it's growing. I don't have stats numbers and stuff but I see the numbers of on-line players it's higher than when I started. WG announced several measures taken and yet to take to address the issue, let's see. Meanwhile I saw a thread a few days ago, and one of the things in there was clans should not accept people under 50% WR. And we are as strong as our weakest link... so...

Wrong. your stats (whatever they are) reflects your skill levels in an adverse environment. if they are going down, your skill level it's not good enough to fight in an disadvantageous position. you have to accept this fact (if they are going down) And work that point. When you crack that point, when you manage to maintain or grow your skill levels while in an disadvantage position you will turn in a better player, than the most. You made a choice. Now, made it work, evade frustration.

+ 1 @VeryHonarbrah t6 it's a very well made tier overall in all fronts, random, ops, co-op. I rather be in a t6 ship vs a t8 than in a t7 ship vs anything, with the exception of gneise and Algerie, the last one it's a serviceable ship. the rest are just worst than the previous tier.

yeap, the way you are defending Duca, I think you found your answer. I almost bought Duca but Degrasse won in the end. If I remember correctly... Duca's strong points. -rail guns - bit faster then Degrasse - quick rudder and tight turning circle ( I think flamu spoke that was in dd territory in terms of dodging torps, etc, but you will have to check this) weak points - fragile - low fire chance. (maybe that will be make the difference) I must say I don't see the need for Molotov, you've got Kirov. Unless you want to do ops. You made the difficult part, making that piece of crap (Konig) to work for you, don't let the frustration get to you now. T7 it's very over rated, that tier it's full of failed ships with two exceptions. (Fiji I don't know). Funny thing, in co-op your most played class it's cruisers, why not trying them out in random? In operations? Personally I have t7s for three reasons. - Operations - means for an end (other ships like t8 and whatnot) - to not have to go through them again. But mainly for operations. In the next patch some of your problems may be mitigated. calm down, take a deep breath, take a break.

you are so "fresh out the boat". the cv problem or is bad players or good players, one of them have to play something else. Because I don't have any problem with bad players as long good players don't show up and vice-versa.

well, after Ultimate frontier shock. This operation is going okish, but nothing to write home about. things that I notice. (Algerie/Pensa) - if you are outside the storm you will get focus even if you are 14 km away, with atlantas and similar closer to them. - if you stay with Ruan your chances are you will be pretty much save...most of the times. - smoked cruisers tend to have a hard time, maybe they have to stop and end up isolated (maybe planning accordingly, smoke a bit ahead of the convoy and start moving when they are almost in the rear).
