Well, this take the cake. I made a huge mistake, I choose my Nicholas to do the D3 mission, 850 hits with the main guns, but I forgot to change the game mode. so, with no concealment, no IFHE, no premium consumables, low skill point captain in random, I did what I could, stay in front to spot ships, torps and laying smoke to my team. I think the only Saving Grace was that skill that dds usually take to not be dead on the water. It might not seem much, but at the end we were losing, both teams were close in points and in ships, the other teams had all but one cap, and the one we have was being contested, I managed to launch torps against a Surrey we were earing already the clock ticking down. With the it's just a flesh wound award I manage to do something useful and win the game in the last moment ( I only knew that was a victory when I saw the scoreboard.) Uffff .

When I started playing this game there was specific ships for specific tasks, now, there's more ships to do the same tasks. When I starting playing there were certain ships that were kings in a given line, they could inspire fear facing them for the high fire chance or high DPM or something else. Now there are just t10 ships, and some of those ships lost the crown. Yes, you have more to choose from but at the same time we don't have only two lines anymore.

Today it's been a massacre. So far, I did 6 games, 6 defeats and huge defeats... but I'm so up beat today I don't know why. (me and Wargaming) Regarding bonus boosters , normally I don't use them up, normally I play very casual with my masts clean. it's only when something comes along that I find enticing, I use them. I apply those bonus boosters in specific moments. and when these types of things comes along (2 million free xp) I don't even bother. I'm using boosters right now because of Moskva (because now I have a dead line for a long term objective) the time before that was in Halloween. (because of elite xp) and the time before that was in the PEV campaign. Plus I am very resistant to hypes I just survived not having PR and I'm just fine. Instead I'm using the free xp for other olders objectives e.g. free xp my way to Leander. and now I'm thinking getting Akizuki (I always wanted or I always being curious about pure gun boats.) With that said, if Odin or Mainz will be released by free xp and the price is astronomic. Well, then I'll get Friesland. Bottom line. WG helps me deciding

what debacle? PR event was a huge success. My guess is RB is not going that well or shown to WG that there are plenty of guys sitting on huge reserves of free XP, or they released too many bonus into the game so they are pushing the prizes up. either way, this inflation is making easy to pass whatever ship in question.

yeah, after I get Moskva I will return to chapayev, I will sell the hull by the one with spotter plane and have another Shchors. Once I did get a Kleber but that was expensive, half of my HP gone by the dd's support.

ok. best way to maximize earnings. IMO take advantage of first win of the day bonus + what i already told you. that way your always ticking towards Moskva with free XP, play a certain numbers of ships with camo and economic flags once per day and win. before you focus on chapayev. in co-op will be easy to play a couple of ships.

Well, you might try random. I did it in random with the range module still missing, with a 8 point captain + concealment module. Don't forget to use a camo and flags that will give you free XP bonus as well. I'm 55 k in DM Donskoy (i'm missing the second hull and i'm with a 11 points captain) and i will start in random with it. I have 95k of free XP on the side, to use it if i'll need it. In this moment i'm rushing for coal, so i'm playing other ships other than DM Donskoy, all of them have flags and camo that will give free xp along with xp, commander xp and so on. Papa Papa signals + camo make around 333% + 100%

Yes. I'm not judging you. As I was saying Chapayev it's a balls to the wall kind of ship, yes you should get closer to the caps to support your dds, but many things can happen to your dds like getting killed right of the start, and then you are all alone because if you have any additional support at all, they will break off when the dd is lost. Chapayev it's not a bad ship but it's a bit awkward. While in paper it's practically the same as Shchors, it's slower, don't have the same stopping power capability that Shchors has and it's less responsive. Both ships would be awkward but Shchors would be better in that role than Chapayev , if they switch radar or tier. Shchors ,also, can have more range than Chapayev or DM Donskoy, there's that too. I try to do a combination of what you say and what GarrusBrutos is saying. I get closer to the cap with the dd with a well planned and if I have a well planned way out ,when I'm detected I pop my radar, drive by shooting for 20 s and get my [edited]out of there, if we get him, we get him, if not , we don't. if the dd it's detecting the other dd I'll try to linger for a little longer (by this time I'm already eating shells, being focus down by the dd's support team, some of the times I'm not focus down. then back to the usual game play, until my next radar, and do that all over again. I am relieve when my radar's out for good. then Chapa can do a lot better. p.s.- Shchors could deal with that pesky stationary DM much better than a Chappa struggling for range.
