I voted No and yes. I don't want subs in random or sprint. But I understand that may be other people that could like subs, so, I don't mind they play them in a special mode just for them where voluntaries can go there. But that's about it. Subs in Ops? Hell [edited]No.

PSA: Odin nerfed right before release (again)
Butterdoll replied to kfa's topic in General Discussion
Well, I don't know what were the values in the beginning, when Odin was considered Fun but when I compare the AA values with this. I think it will be okish. -
thank you for putting makarvo in shop

That was why I never did go for Makarov or upgraded my Nurnberg. Torps in a cruiser are a defensive weapon, not to be used like a primary weapon but nevertheless they are important enough to be a deal breaker in this particular case. why have one if you have the other? the difference between hurting a BB and to be certain to sink one. My Nurnberg sunk a full health Sinop once (the sinop was turning around a island) if I was in a Makarov I would never survived that Sinop, +- 4k away. -

Yes I know and because of that I never made the upgrade instead I specialized my Nurnberg for DD hunting (nowadays it feels wrong to say that but you have to understand it was different back then) Nowadays they are so few of them, it's almost a crime... and now they come out without any smoke... I miss my old days. -

I'm a huge fan. At first I thought that as well (what's in bold) and especially after coming from Koeningberg Aka the little backward sparrow as I like to call it. But no. That ship is awesome, it's one of my best ships, never let me down, I can take it everywhere. co-op, random, ops, sprint. I reached ranked 1 with it and Bayern. both ships out of what was considered the meta Remember the PEV campaign? remember that part where you had to make 4 million credits with each nation, well, Nurnberg was the ship that did the most credits in one battle in that mission segment. And so on. After 800 battles in Budyonny it was the ship I used to rest a bit, and it was like the British say. Keep shooting and carry on. -

And Makarov has only one set of torps instead of the two sets present in Nurnberg -

Nah, If and when I see a sub in random i'll let that f b piece of sub sink. I'll even help the reds in sinking it.

Tier 7 and 8 cruisers should get heal's when they are put in Tier 9/10 games
Butterdoll replied to Riggerby's topic in General Discussion
So far I only tried out with Nurnberg and I wont put IFHE on it (forget about the german "special" pen, i'm not talking about it.) Against a t8 BB my guns seem to turn into DD guns i'm only able to do chip damage but if I'm patient and if I keep shooting, the fires start to appear and the games end with the same or almost the same amount of fires. With Buddy and Shchors I want to be certain that the same happen. As long the fires keep coming i'm fine. I didn't tried out yet. -

Prepare yourself for a let down. I'm not giving up on Shchors just yet. -
That might be the logic behind it but it's not how it works. one have to do more than damage to get the first place and win the star. I know that, you know that, as many more people knows that, But it's irrelevant because what you say it's so true. I remember a particular Sprint, 2 Bayerns vs 1 Bayern and 1 PEV, it's in the bag I thought, turned out to be 1 Bayern vs 1 Bayern + 1 PEV, thanks God for the rest of my team. But removing the save a star mercy rule will screw up so many people that will be stuck with border humping Bayerns and want to do more, are able to do more and deserve more than a plain defeat. At least that way, you don't lose a star. Sometimes should be two stars . No way those camping BBs can beat players that actually fight.
-
No. The save a star feature is useful. When everything else fails there's a plan B, a way out, a thing worth to fighting for. you take out the "Brave Pill" the gameplay will be worse. World of Camping.

Butterdoll replied to Riggerby's topic in General Discussion
As @invicta2012 said 1- smoke 2- 8 km torps 3- a guy that ended up rank 1 for 4 or 5 times, some of them have the jolly roger flag (reward for i don't remember what) -
It is me or the directives have to be played with subs? What happen to the event where you could win a graf spee? thank you

Zara - the worst T7 paper ship! (in my opinion)
Butterdoll replied to Nick_Borse's topic in General Discussion
I don't have Zara, but fought against it. And it's impossible to beat Gorizia in the worst t7 title. -

Butterdoll replied to Riggerby's topic in General Discussion
Not for long. Before when you saw a Flint you knew you were in for a rough ride, you had to put everything you got into it. Because Flint was a reward ship and the probability was high that the guy in it was very good. Then Flint turned into a steel ship. and became not so much handle with care. Now Flint will be a coal ship, that means every dog and their mother will have one or can have one, same thing for Black. I don't know where WG are going with this but they can't take from us the Mohamed Ali and swap him for a bunch of beaten up UFC guys and expect the same enthusiasm from us. E.g. Belfast, Kutuzov, for what? a Smolensk? -
Well. pretty forward and simple question How program to get to watch replays? How to safe them and so on?
-
i can wait for their release.

… and for a week.

I'm not a dd player and even I have a roughly notion of what to do in some situations. I wont contest your first point ,however , I will leave a footnote . For a gunboat you don't need TRB, it helps but it's not a necessity, just save the torps that you have for a brown alert, when you are on the offensive (having played a lot of RU CLs I'm used to that ,even in ships with longer range torps become Russians. Regarding DM I would not mind to trade 8 kms torps for 4 km ones in exchange of faster reload on the main guns) I will contest your second point just by saying... Now imagine those same players but without a smoke I will contest your fourth point Prevalence of radar, oh yes, several 20 second bits where your concealment doesn't work, yes, it can be nasty, it can be devastating, it can mean a return to port. even the 40 seconds radars seems to me better than not having smoke at all where you can be spotted all the time. Now i'm gonna taking a risk and going out on a limb by saying Smoke it's 100 % essential for all dds, and even more. Entire dynamics revolving around smokes happens a lot, hijacking smoke of others, taking advantage of smoke of an ally or adversary. there is even a hotkey asking for smoke. Smoke it's one of the pivot points to win or lose a game. I disagree or I don't know Since I can remember spotting and capping were made by dds with smoke, and there were a lot more dds around before than nowadays. what I see more with this smokeless dds with weaker concealment apart from the fact they die quicker, as there are much less dds in games (sometimes one per side or two per side) So, whoever has a dd is king they assume a defensive posture, those who do not die right away can be found slightly behind the cruisers. I as a cruiser i'm spotting a lot more ships than before, which can be dangerous, I had games where I'm out spotting my own dds . Moving in to support them can be fruitless or they die or they fall back, because, there can be better gunboats than they or they don't have smoke to conceal themselves or they are simply out spotted I guess, bad players die, good players leave you hanging out to dry. In short it's not uncommon to see one of this smokeless dds behind you, not spotting. At least French dds, they do not have smoke, they have speed and they are extremely hard to hit at high speeds and they are good gunboats

RPF and Hydro are more useful than radar will ever be. 20 s radar and shorter are a waste of space IMO. the new upcoming 10 s radar are a joke And no, if a BB player is blasted by torps the majority of times it's his own fault
-
No need for that. In my fleet only the ships that doesn't have nothing more to put instead of radar, have radar.
-
Oh man, what's going on with this new trend of smokeless dds? Overall, dds are a rare commodity nowadays, the game is full of dd players that would benefit of smoke. Overall, smokeless dds behave like cruisers, they are a middle of the road dd in guns and in torps and they lose in detection please, pick something with smoke, seriously, pick something that will help spotting and capping. there are ( a lot of ) games where there's no difference between having a dd or not having a dd. And there are better dds out there, and more user friendly. there's a difference in what a ship can do and what a player is able to do with it. You will never enter a battle without camo, right? so, why discard smoke? A quintessential thing in a dd, more than torps

Graf Spee, at last. :) I'm in.
