No, they cant. Yamato has 460 mm guns and can overmatch everything the others have 457 mm and they can't overmatch everything , e.g. they can't overmatch 32 mm which is South Dakota's bow, and in fact i had Kremlins doing nothing to my ship So, there's a difference. And IMO Thunderer is just a glass cannon, very squishy. No fun for you, I'm died kind of ship.

I heard that with Iowa better not doing that., it's not a brawler and has a nose very susceptible to be citadeled . South Dakotas are not quite Germans but they are pretty tough. But at the same time, shooting that far (20-25 km), most probably you aren't hitting the mark , drag, dispersion, correction from other players, travel time, your own aim i can't give you any tips about Iowa but regarding the guns, i can tell you that i blapped with 4 citadels an angled Des Moines, due to the improved angle penetration and i managed to citadel a RNCA that came ram distance from me, so a very steep angle too. I do get the same kind of volleys that you are complaining about but, so far, it's been a completely different experience they have plenty punching power and they are more accurate.

About Iowa i don't know but regarding 406 mm... this is a sample of what 406 mm can do. So pretty damn good if you ask me. And they are more accurate than 380 mms

Scharnhorst: 75% winrate during a week after purchase, now 30%
Butterdoll replied to HassenderZerhacker's topic in General Discussion
Maybe is due to sample size. during the first battles the overall stats are nice and dandy but as the sample grows in size the stats gets worse. that happens to all the ships. But 30% it's too low, perhaps you should analyse why they are low. Over extending? Pushing too soon? bad choice of targets? A incomplete build? -
I wish. but no, i have to do it in Donskoy. If it were in Shchors it would be a breeze, in fact i have enough XP in Shchors to unlock all the ships up to t10 and after that i have some more left

Advice please, Ibuki but cruisers in general

there's no real or major difference between Ibuki and Donskoy. -
Advice please, Ibuki but cruisers in general
Butterdoll replied to Molly_Delaney's topic in Cruisers
@Molly_Delaney 1 - you started way to close from your dd , you denied yourself any spot advantage, 2 - You zigged instead of zagged, you assumed a defensive position with the wrong ship to do that, I would retreat for the other side, you turned right i would turned left 3 - you had no support whatsoever, you and that dd were over extended., even if you were in a Des Moines or a Balti the outcome would be the same, no support 4 - when you tried to run you should attempted to go dark if given the chance (i don't know the values of IBUKI concealment) and re joined what was left of your flank, assuming a support role spamming HE, be one more among others, or go to those islands near your spawn and do a last stand., but instead you kept firing your guns and you were the nearest to the reds and got focused. I think, no. not with that ship nor with how your flank deployed. You shouldn't be there, in the first place. But it's way easier to point out what i think what was your mistakes . But there you go, this 4 points it's what i would do or try to do. -
Weekends are terrible for randoms .
Butterdoll replied to Admiral_Oily_Discharge's topic in General Discussion
You had dds's? What a luxury, you are living the life. yep, your first screenshot it's a copy paste of my last battle . -
TLDR Pick and choose your buys and your fights What you complain about can't loose strength Use your money as a weapon (lack of spending discipline lead us where we are today) You should buy what you want when you want but somehow the WG, as a business, are always pushing the line where they can go and for some reason it's been successful. PR event was a huge success for them. Now we have to pay real money for missions? something's failing
-
And you did all of that. you expressed your protest. But at the same time don't undermine it. Specially in front of the Russians (WG) One of my superiors at work, came from the Eastern Europe (ex- USSR) He was in the special forces (he's a nice guy) Once he said to me "Back when i was in the special forces, often we (they) were given Europe as an example of weakness , you (us) have it all and that makes you (us) weak , while we (they) don't have everything, we (they) have to fight for everything, and that makes us (them) way tougher" so, yeah apparently, that's the doctrine , i can imagine. We complain about everything and often we undermine our own complains, perhaps, WG don't take us very serious because of that. I will leave you with a saying, from Frederic the Great. " He who defends everything, defends nothing "

Man, if you don't like to feel the potato power that eats unicums for breakfast, then don't play, it's that simple. Because there always will be potatos in all the levels skill. Even you can be one, and you don't know it yet. Just compare the performance of unicums in a random battle and the performace of those same unicums when they played in a more even field (e.g. competitive) You are just as potato as any of us, the question is. Are you a big potato or a small one? will you grow as a potato in a skill based MM?
-
Your are comparing what you are desiring to a carrot covered in crap? Hey man, you think what you think , that's fine...but... why complain, then? I see no purpose to wear yourself down with this anymore . there's a difference between it would be nice and i have to have this, one it's not worth it the other is. For the first case, you are right. (what's in bold and underlined) For the second case, then you are wrong, specially if you are happy with it afterwards. If this camo thing is the first case, then move on, you already stated your disliking, don't stress any further. You can't win them all, you can't have it. Just focus in what you really want/like, any kind of currency will have no relevance there, and there will be money well spent

Well, after seeing the new RU ships (silver and premiums) i'm feeling a bit uninspired. I'm going towards Al. Nevsky that seems to me the better one of the new bunch. I unlocked the Russian Hipper and after seeing 13 sec. reload on it's guns i lost my will to life, i didn't bought it yet. So i was thinking what about Murmansk or Marblehead? I always had a soft spot for Omaha. what are the main difference between the three? thank you
-
thanks to OP, i went to check. you can have perma camos for four ships. now, if one can do the missions with ships from t5 to t10 it would be nice if we could have perma camos for those ships. I would try to slap a few on my favourite german ships

AHAHAHAHAHAHAH WHAT? Now you have to spend doubloons to have missions? what's next? spending doubloons to play in random mode? ahahahah

The recollection i have of Konigsberg. It's a promising ship, it's potential's came in the form of Nurnberg. I did liked Konigsberg but that ship cannot sustain any damage, it's a 100 % support ship, once by it's own it's game over, Nurnberg it's beefier and not as team dependent/battle dynamic as Konigsberg. No. it may seems that way but no, and i'm not talking about personal preferences or likings, despite being squishy that ship just works and works well, it's a very reliant ship in all fronts, at least, for me, ops, missions, random, sprints and it's one if not the CL i played the most after the IFHE rework. I just had to say that. Balti when compared with Hipper, it's a much easier ship with much more quality of life factor. What i was expecting from Hipper i got from Balti. Hipper by the end it was a difficult grind, being disappointed with the lack of sustainability over and over again didn't helped either, i remember, at that time, thinking as i was seeing the review , it's a worse Hipper. I don't care about radar... man, even Donskoy that's a far cry from what i like and feel comfortable with has a better reload than Tallin and has more guns. Back to the topic. Murmansk - less guns, slow 8 km torps same shell velocity, 7 sec reload Marblehead - same guns, slower 8 km torps, same shell velocity ,6.1 sec reload
-
Not quite, just caution
-
No, abyssmally stupid turd of a shitbucked it's Chapayev and a slow one. DM Donskoy it's a ok ship nothing special but nothing bad either. Except the reload time and range i don't have complains, armour wise it's a step up from Shchors which is one of my go to ships It all depends what you want do do. sailing forward with the dds at the start? Well, what i do often is find a good spot to use the radar and let the shooting part to my team mates and get away when and how i can ( normally after what i consider the biggest threat ,had shoot). But you don't have to go radar in the beginning in all the games, having a radar in the late game can be useful too and going to the unknown when you don't know where the other ships are can be very dangerous, so Donskoy it's not good for pushing or for duels or you kite away or be one more in the landscape, be a support ship. try not to be a main target, radar made Donskoy a priority target already. Be aware of your dd's try to support them if you can, when you can, how you can. Don't be in the front line, move around your line . Offer as much unattractive target as you can. Dodge and duke, and give space and time, to you be able to do that.

I have a suggestion for you. 1- try to break 800 base points. 2 - the highest I've seen was 1300 points In coop there's an entire different set of problems, that prevents you to be able to achieve that regularly but the the occasion will arise here and there. "Jim" if you accept this mission, report back please.

Doing some in shirts or polos would be nice
-
thank you. i almost was caught by surprise in that one but i had enough ship to bounce back and while i was under pressure i adopted the random posture , one thing helped, i had time to do as much as i could by the book. And i was lucky, i had no competitors left. it was epic
-
Why? i think it's good as is. Normally that happens when both teams are full of bots with one or a couple of human players. You just have that into account at the start. While in this game my team was full of humans, we buckled, i was the only one left. Not only it was a victory at the end , not only i survived ,but Bayern outshined Gneisenau and Bismarck in a secondaries hits mission.

I have a new toy, I got distracted, totally derailed everything. Odin, this, my elite xp grind for Balti.

Once In Lenin i got 140 k only by pressing W. -
I break it in two parts. While the background music it's off, those bells sounds pitching up and pitching down gives a terror feeling not proper for a II WW game like Wows. IMO but the sound effects, i think, it helps to the immersion, those ricochet sounds and those radio voices when you are using the googles, aiming...i like it, it's a nice detail and somewhat comic, sometimes there are games where it feels I'm in a western. the engine sounds improved a little bit too. How can you be in a dd, fast, nimble and so on and seems like you are in 19 th century steamer going down the river? but it needs further improvements
