came on, man. You now what's also vulnerable to ap shells? Cruisers. You go from full to zero in a instant, if I was like you I couldn't see the fun in it either. Work around it. You have already gotten good advices, now practice your timing to make the turn Most BB players are useless in battle, they do nothing, they require the other classes to do the heavy lifting , then and only then they go for the cleaning up , but it's no longer necessary because all the work's done. Scratch your paint, man.

What? What? Man, Gneisenau it's awesome. It's like a super cruiser. You know when you bow in, angled in a cruiser? And then at the last moments all falls apart? Because of a lot of things like shells trajectory's flatter? well, Gneisenau shines, excels, nothing happens to you, the shells only bounce, you can take damage but good luck citadeling that Panzer. And it's fast for what it is, it's not a BB by the way. But ok, maybe it's not your style, they are others more squishy, slower but more accurate but also with worst secondaries and armour. You have to have a good captain thou and a full upgraded ship.

@NothingButTheRain Hi, Starbuck. Everyone's talking about that ship. 1m credits and radar. But with that out of the way, how's it fairs like a bb. It's a brawler? Or 1m and the radar it's all that it's got?

Scrwe this game, screw WG, The outcome of the match is predetermined
Butterdoll replied to DFens_666's topic in General Discussion
I did not. I just comment on what I've seen in those two minutes and point out what I would do differently. That battle wasn't lost because of caps or lack of skill, in the end, was just bad luck and lack of cold blooded actions (but who's gonna judge, me? no.) For that particular end. (against a dd) their setup was not the best (cv+ bb) at those tiers they suck. But how they possible would know? They would won the battle if the red's last survivor was something else. or if they had one cruiser, that Clemson would be teared apart in so many pieces that you couldn't count. I'm not going Git gud all over them as you did. That's BS. Because nobody has a flawless game. And I'll bet you that was what both of them thought at that moment. If only I was in my whatever cruiser. bottom line , was just one more battle among many, the only problem here is that one of them blew his "head gasket" over it. And that's why is making the "front pages". If they had won that battle we wouldn't even know about it. -

Just saying judging players with 2 minutes of video.... I wouldn't. -
Sorry, when I said 12/15 km onward I meant closer . What I called the "breathing space" it's from the cruiser's max range until the range when the shells assume a flatter trajectory or/and secondaries start firing.

I'm no cv player but I would do something different. I would wait a bit and focus all my squadrons on the dd, cross drops and stuff. Just saying. That first drop was just bad luck @ForlornSailor wrong tool for the job (that particular job ), the best it's Kuma. You would eat that Clemson raw. came on, it's just a game you win some and lose some. you are the second one since yesterday. When I start to swear I know it's time to stop for the day. -
The problem with that it's, many times you don't get to make that trade of. because at that distance, angled or not, timing or not, the armour don't work or don't work well ( point blank range) And in top of that you have to open up your broadside regardless because of torps firing angles. Yes, I had games where I put a Nagato running from me, sunk multiples BBs, etc. And I had games where I didn't had the chance to launch them . But that has more to do with each player's skills and psychologies capabilities, (cold blooded), how the game it's going, etc, than everything else. But that chances nothing, if needed to be done , I will do it. And that's why (what I said above) I'm no fan of what you saying. Give me stray shells every time. Bad or good players, don't matter. The Dispersion and distance it's the "breathing space" of cruisers, (when kitting or charging in) that allows them to do it's job. With less dispersion you eat full salvos. instead a shell or two. Try to dodge from sigma 2.0. from 12/15 km onwards. sigma2.0? Only at distance. Maybe he had got the same as you damage wise, but only with more guns? And maybe despite you aim, the dispersion made the shells hit else where? You want to increase the accuracy of the BBs, ok what about cruisers then? Because you are reinforcing the idea of sniping at 20km with better results, instead of making them go out there to do their job. IMO. Yeap, but for that to happen. they need to be launched frontally as you say. And at the moment IJN ships, at least where I'm are defensive tools.
-
exactly, 8 kms torps would be so much easier to ambush/and to exit from a bad place. AHAHAHAH. But you can have manually secondaries but until you get them it's nice to have "noobs secondaries" No, it's not. I went to check your stats to check one thing. You are also a cruiser main, your most (favourite?) ship it's a Fiji. Well, not all of us got smoke and angling and timing it's all we got to survive, and we have to do it until a certain range because after that the armour stops working, but you know that already, Fiji it's not your only ship. Have you tried to stand your ground against a GC? It's the hardest one, all the others are easier. And besides that chances nothing. I had a game (one more among many) where I had to tank against two Bayerns after I supported our Fuso and sunk a RNBB and a dd, while the Fuso was tucked away in a worm rock shooting only his forward guns. Give them all (BBs) 30ish Knots speed and decent (faster) rudder speed. That would solve the problem without stepping in the others classes capabilities/survivability's too much.

Just dropped by to say. What about buddy? regarding the BBs tldr No Why? Hell no. And yes.

The problem of T2, t3, t4 it's one. you start at t1 (1941 ships, black swan) than you go full retarded with t2 (1900 crap era ships). So, to a player that it's coming to grips with ships and all while in t1, goes to t2 still struggling and find itself with those... pathetic things. I know, I've been there. In fact, I've got worst stats than your examples in those floating turds. Personally my most hated ship of all times it's not the Turd (Pensa) it's a t2 ship. Weymouth. But that has nothing to do with either. economics or MM. It's how WG decided to do the tech trees. Am I a happy costumer? hell yeah. Except for one ship (friant) I will rebuy it, I'm not planning to get back.
-
Tough start? You are kidding, right? T1 are full of training wheels, all ships are good, even better than DM on DPM and ROF, they are agile, almost all players are noobs. but overall everybody's happy because the skill level is roughly the same, yes you get some sealclubbers in that tier but they are very very few to make a dent. Tough start, right? Everyone gets a "tough start" when they are learning to ride a bike.

Sick of the game, just bloody fed up with dispersion, RNG, crap teams, bad luck - everything!
Butterdoll replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
I've got to say this. I was not expecting that from you. Guess it's not some that gets mental meltdowns. Apparently, something was lost in translation because one don't get from p4f to that. (maybe random?) And what a cruiser main is doing with a bb? (sorry, it come out ) RNG, disperson? try German BBs, close range. Nikolai, Fusos, and alike, nah. stick with the brawlers. Listen, I'm seeing your stats right now, Molotov 274 ships, Kirov 130 ships, buddy...2 battles? WTF? OK, whatever floats your boat, I wouldn't bothered with Molotov, buddy 421 ships, just saying, Budyonni can be the scorch of God. After I talked to you I grinding my uber cruiser in co-op waiting until the next t7 operation, 138 ships and a lot of fun. RNG? Dispersion? Pfff Brawl your way in and Brawl your way out. Nikolai, WTF? try Kuma instead. Or just support from the second line. Go buy another keyboard, do what you do in either mode, and FFS don't get this crap I'm tired of trying to organise a team in chat, the lemming trains, the salt, the "shut up noob, LTP!" get to you. Most of the times are pussys, that can't do crap by themselves unless driving forward to be sunk or camping Don't eat the honey, eat the bees. -
Yes, I do think MM is manipulated and for economic reasons. MM of t1 to t4 excels in balance and are protected because in this phase WG wants to captivate players, seal clubbers are not a statistic thing, if they were, most certainly they would do something about it, so everybody gains with it. there's some tiers that seems to me, gave me the impression that are going in the direction of maximising profit, like, hey ,are you down tiered or passing through a bad patch, buy a premium ship, (wink, wink). Are they better than the silver ships? Not all. Etc, etc. But in the overall picture, WG it's at least in my eyes, the Robin Hood of WR. (To profit, with it). I think the main goal it's to give everyone average stats. To keep everyone happy. Have I have proofs? No, but. Why unicorns don't have stats as good as they are? Why after a certain threshold you need divisions to Keep climbing in your stats? Do you see the differences between co-op (against bots) and random/ranked/clans ( against other players)? While in the first you can maintain a high average stats in the first you simply can't. Some known mechanics like detonations and others not so well Known, like RNG? Aren't they emergency valves to keep the balance? I'm too under the impression that sometimes I get fed, other times I'm the food. Do I care? Well, not so much provided I am not put in those teams that melt instantly. But that could be another emergency valve for the system. Perhaps they pick a sample of a player's performance, allocate a space to that player and then go back and forward, giving and taking according to daily fluctuations of everyone stats/performance.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
Butterdoll replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
AhAHAHAHAH. did another round today with all my t7 ships in Naray, between 90k (get team sunk by a Myoko that ram me to the path of torps) and 167k and I even did 132k in a defeat with my Algerie. And when was the Turd's turn I did... 38k. You just made me feel better. I think I have one now, Beijing way, pls. thank you -
Funny and sad game situations shown with map screenshots.

That I don't get, it makes no sense. Unless your stats are still around 60% you should keep them hidden. if your stats falls to 50 ish, 40 ish you should show them. I see many players bitching about their stats, how they are falling. What it's good about average is, if you have enough baggage they keep your stats down even if that player is achieving better results consistentlyish . It's better if your opponent thinks you are weaker than you really are. Being underestimated is to be stronger. -

the million dollar euros question. Is it the Buddy's bigger sister? -
You are frustrated , take a pause, chill. first, listen to this. then, pick this ... Budyonni Gneisenau Hell, pick the both of them. they are like the tremors... Tremor brothers.
-
Ok, I was chilling in me boats when I collected another container. And I got this... I'm happy now (finally a boat after all the battles I did). Yes, I know it's the Chinese Leander. (but it's a boat nonetheless). So, I never had, have a smoke up cruiser before. I went running for co-op to try it out. No skills allocated nor modules, just out of the box... or container. Long story short I was caught by surprise with the smoke, I position myself carefully ready to harvester some bot xp... and apparently it's not of those sit in the smoke but instead walking while you smoke, then I saw the cool time of the smoke . a KGV shot me in close range and I didn't get blapped . It's guns ( Huanghe's) shoots peas. Brawling with this ship it's a big no, no. I could ask you, how it's compared with Leander? but I don't have either, so... But this ship will serve to train me with smoke related stuff, operations and stuff. So your thoughts, please. game style skills Anything? Help? thank you all in advance.
-
Yes, I know that that ship it's not a Belfast or such. But he could talked less about Perth. Maybe, but at this time I see it like an exotic flavour., something different. Perth it's not a good ship (flamu's words) but Perth do everything better. Well, like I said, it's my first smoke cruiser, so I don't have anything to compared it with.
-
It's harder than you might think. I just done one entire round with all my t7 ships in Narai Operation plus three battles . And in all but 2 battles the green bots made it impossible for the team to complete the mission. it's needed a lot of skill to deal with those bots.
-
I Just saw the flamu's video about my new boaty (second one, I already saw the first). Well, all I can say is I've got my answer to my question how it's when compared with Leander Perth and faragut. you are absolutely right, I've complained before about smith and Emden, but I won't this time. It can be a far cry from Leander? But it will be very useful, after all it's a t6, a bottom sea scrapper t6. Thank you for your input, flamu was not much help in his review of this ship. Perth it's better, Perth will do it better, Perth have that and this and the other one. To the others. Just keep trying your luck in every single container, if you start now, maybe, in +- 150 containers you will receive a ship.
-
Yeap. with catapults and ballistas hurling all kinds of burning stuff in the air, while the soldiers brace for the imminent impact to board the next ship. BBs are for pussys, man who is a man doesn't eat the honey, eat the bees. But then again, in my experience in WoWs so far, most probably would be both fleets ending the battle with no loses. ahahahahah.

If I'm not mistaken, cruisers evolved from different types of ships (not a particular one) So the term cruiser was from the type of mission not from the type of ship. It had to be small, fast and with a punch. One type of ships that was used to cruising missions were the frigates. So no joy for dds. And by the way, I don't like this "modernized" idea. What about Punic Wars sea warfare?
