Why exactly does @shonai only have 5 battles? As far as ive been informed the dev's and WG staff barely play their game and only watch the spreadsheet in regards to changes they want to make. There are a few good things about the IFHE change, HE pen being equal to or above instead of above only is a good one for example. The armor changes to cruisers can be debateable however what it does do is powercreep ships like hindenburg. I personally think the armor changes are ridiculous and ruin balance, except in the case of 16mm Smolensk and 26mm plating for tier 6-7 BB's. My point is that i simply dont understand how Wargaming can make such poor choices, wasting time and resources on either pointless or downright detrimental changes. A little mention of ships which have been effectively nerfed by this change is Atlanta, Flint, US BB's with 38mm plating, Hindenburg and many BB's loosing the ability to overmatch same tier cruisers except of course the abundent amount of 431mm or above main gun battleships.

Pretty astonished by all the negative feedback. I cannot lie WG made a horrible decision with the CV rework. a few months ago i was planning to go for the Japanese CV line since i like not to rely on RNG but to obtain torpedoe succes with skill. Now im really not interested a single bit. There might be some bias since im also a major RTS player but still my point has some value. The RN DD's started out quite questionably. They had a very different playstyle but after a bit of time managed to fit in. I currently think they're pretty balanced altough Cossack is overperforming a TINY bit i mean in the hands of a good player you can get insane results in a tier 10 battle. On the other hand the Daring is probably too much, more health than a Z-52 + a heal and a anti torpedoe long duration hydro, increased acceleration making 180 degree turns very fast and zigzagging left and right very easy. Despite lack of speed boost it still gets where it needs to be and it has almost as good Dakka as a Harugumo and better AP altough having to spend 4 points for IFHE, but it still has very practical torps that while not being the best definitely do the job and the ability to single launch. I honestly think the British DD line is great expect Daring which while not being broken is a little way too strong. I dunno about you guys but ive liked this year. Lots of great new content and really nice events. The Christmas containers were a disappointment but it isn't something that ruins the game. I personally wish they do something about the CV rework but thats the only thing im very negative about.... Also stop crapping on battleships already its oudated. We all know DD players are more salty and usually suck a little more than the other classes but i guess old habits dont die out in a few years… Also this comment is a little too focused on the chat here. Thanks WG for keeping the game fresh, we all make mistakes just please listen to us :) Fair seas! -
Honestly the only good German secondaries are the 128mm's. Id agree that the 150mm's are reliable because of the pen and in my experience, accuracy probably due to shell weight but the long reload and low alpha really limits the power of them and the 105's are just down right useless the French 100mm's are a lot better for that job. Other than a damage buff to the 150mm's or 1/4 to the 105mm's i dont think they need massive buff's in fact Gneisenau is completely fine and Bismarck is awesome just expect the fact that her 105mm's actually dont do jack spleedoodles but other than the obvious Friedrich (which is a tier 9 so she isnt the only stinker) the GK is the one i think needs something. Not a secondary buff but her range being even worse than Bismarck just makes her so inconsistent at the 18 and 19km range often ships kiting away from you just get out of it while still shooting you. With bad concealment, maneuverability and massive size you'd expect her to have more than just health and armor (especially because fires dont give a damn)… But her main guns (both 420mm's and 406's) are fine in terms of reload, damage etc. they really lack in consistency or well German dispersion but of course when you shoot at a ship as close as 17 or 18km away you still almost hit your max dispersion which is abselutely awful. A simple range buff like 1 or 2km extra would keep her the lowest range of all tier 10's but still worse than almost every tier 8. Just my opinion folks :s Edit: Also the Montana having good concealment still has good armor and because her gun angles are really good you can angle sufficiently while GK's gun angles are so bad that you have to show broadside to use all 12 guns but of course if you angle tightly only using 6 guns you are indeed immune to AP shells (unless they shoot your superstructure which is the size of a Des Moine made purely out of 19mm giving even Yamato's 460mm's full pens) then if you go bow on or angled you are limited to tanking because 6 guns aint enough. In fact the gun at the very rear has plenty of space to turn closer in but for some reason its locked at the same angle as the second furthest back which is obviously stopped by the superstructure.)

Id say basically everything being done now is very welcome expect the nerf to BB AP.. As it is this forces BB players to pick expert loader because a 30 second reload or even 24 second one is simply not enough to switch shell type and punish a DD who gets way too close to you, and to further notice this is a massive nerf to German battleships as their HE shells are beyond awfull, and as a personal statement why BB AP? Why not nerf radar? As DD's being my second most played class id say the only thing that really hurts me is when i make mistakes OR when i get radared. No matter how well i play a radar will force me to play defensively. Not that i complain its for balance but out of all things why BB AP? Its extremly easy to avoid a battleship and if you show broadside a battleship will only get overpens. I dont understand... -

I still really dont think this is neccesary. As i dont even play CV's i dont have much of a say in this matter but i definitely think the influence of the carrier should be limited. Major problems is spotting DD's and cross dropping them making them either die instantly or loose a lot of health and if they dont want that to happen say stick with teammates further behind they will be giving up the caps early game and if the enemy carrier isnt spotting and doing the same then its obvious which team has the advantage early on. Maybe nerf the CV's ability to spot and just let it be in terms of damage. I mean Bismarck was relocated by a spotter plane which then gave a carrier, her position. Could feel the same way ingame as when a ship or spotter plane spots a ship thats when the CV can take action and do damage instead of spotting. I mean its obvious a good CV will kill more ships than a bad one but the good CV players usually pick off those easy kills who sometimes dont have the largest effect on a battle. The thing is right now i dont see any problem at all with the game (expect RN BB's lol) and when i got a damn GK against a tier 10 carrier or my Molotov with poor AA and other ships like that i always have this sense of balance. When the enemy CV goes for me i do my best to stay alive long enough to give our team time to do stuff without being Yamatoe'd by planes, but it seems the community or WG believes there's major problems to the gameplay and balance. The only problem i saw is that not a lot of people play CV, but the actual gameplay and balance looks fine to me (yes im an RTS player so bias of course)
