After a couple of normal ping games, I was "upgraded" by WG to 2 full seconds of latency. Thanks WG...

Best looking ship in the game - which is it?

    This...
  8. I played Dynamo once about an hour ago. The DD fleet consisted off: 2 Mahan, 4 Farragut (I sailed one of those) and a Gnevny. I didn't even remember that this was a Plane heavy scenario, so I hadn't done an AA build. To my astonishment, with almost no coordination, the DDs chain smoked the fleet - almost to perfection, and we had a 5-star win without losing a single DD. It really went so smooth that I doubt a Premium DD would be needed. P.S. Well, to be honest, same results in previous scenario tests in PTS, didn't provide analogous wins in the Live Server... Seems that fewer potatoes might inhabit the PTS after all!

CHAT - BAN: This idiocy should stop sometime soon!

    A. I already have "said" that I knew I had reports. Are you a medium or something, to know if it was for name calling or e.g. just asking not to lemming train, or to help the DD on the other side? You already seem to have made your mind on this! B. I don't moan, I thought it was hilarious... but you seem to be edgy for some reason. C. So if I hadn't told him to L2P, cause two of them in CLs where cruisin' for an hour broadside and got deleted, I wouldn't have gotten this "player's" chat report.? Are we playing the same game? And is in your world writing L2P, so offensive, as in to merit a chat report... ROFLMAO! D. You must know that even if you don't even type something "offensive" in chat, you can get chat reports? E. Did you even get the whole idea about punishing the other 11 or 6 players in your team, in every game for 24h, even if the chat ban was uncalled for? F. On a side note, I love my profile picture, If you don't, that's your problem. Sadly you didn't even seem to get the humorous part of why I did post this... It seems to me that you belong to the Politically Correct Police! Fare well.

CHAT - BAN: This idiocy should stop sometime soon!

I did it. Just imported the wrong file. Thanks anyway!
  11. Hi fellow captains, Just a recent example on how to get chat-banned from the enemy team for killing their ships... I'm not ranting, just pointing the absurdity of the system! I really don't understand the use of this "feature", when it can be abused by anyone. Isn't the "mute" player function enough? If you don't like what he says, mute him. If you feel that he overstepped even in profanity and written abuse level, report him by a ticket. The chat-ban system simply denies this person, either justifiably or not, the ability to communicate with his teammates in every following game for at least a day. But in reality it punishes even more the other 11 players playing in his team for the subsequent matches, cause they can't have any input from him. Even worse in Ranked battles, where communication is critical! That's all from me, Safe sailing. P.S. I know that I most probably had more complaints from previous matches, but that is not the point. And no one can say what a "valid" complaint is! It is all subjective... P.P.S. I nearly peed myself from laughing when I saw those chat complaints... This player is out of this world! P.P.P.S. I should be very careful from now on, cause I'm also "registred"... Start new topic

    A Proposed Change to Radar

I will here copy-paste my opinion on this issue from a previous thread... and by the way, for all those clever people saying "you know the real radars were ON all the time"... bring them on please, cause they were something resembling the RPF that exists in-game, and not a "to the millimeter" accurate visual drawing of the enemy. Enough said! Hi, The greatest issue I believe is not the number of radars and hydros, but their broken working mechanism. Although the vast number of those comes second, this issue could have been solved easily by limiting their numbers in each battle by the MM, and by putting equal numbers to both teams e.g. 2 per team max (meaning WG will never do it…). Now for the main issues: First, the “not-so-bright” mechanism of radar and hydro penetrating solid rock (bad game engine?). As it is, I can be safe using those while hidden behind an island, while my team makes passionate love to the enemy DD from a safe distance. (Not to mention the ultra “also-not-so clever” visual acquisition behind an island if it’s thinner than 2km…). Some players have mentioned that a cure (?) would be for the radaring ship to become instantly visible itself while radaring, but still, this is not the solution, because the vast majority of radaring is done behind islands… Just make it not being able to penetrate rock! PLEASE! Second, the auto-magical telegraphing of a ships’ position to the rest of the team, when it’s been radared or hydroed. I don’t think that the appearance of a visually acquired ship, to all team members, should change of course, cause that would make the game unplayable for most players, but if the radared and hydroed ship remained “visible” either solely for the ship that detected it, or even just for those friendly ships that are at the same or a closer distance to the target (compared to the ship that uses radar/hydro), that would be a great fix. As it works now, you may be targeted by a DD that has 7.5 km radar, but the BB behind it, potentially has a 2 to 3 times “pseudo-radar” distance, because of this… Additionally, the duration of radars is becoming hilarious… I would love for a petition to WG to bring those timers back to sane levels! And finally, please WG, stop strapping on a radar to every new ship, or every ship that you think it’s underplayed… Cheers, Your local potato
