Mission Task Difficulty vs. RNG for the avg. player

I have already finished the campaign by doing just that :D But I want to have some kind of goal with playing, so I'm doing the tasks I didn't do during that grind, while I grind for LMs :D

Mission Task Difficulty vs. RNG for the avg. player

I think I'll have to do that, but as it has to be US DDs (or CVs for that matter) and I only have the tasks enabled during the Legendary Module grind for each class, it won't be anytime soon that I'm getting it done then. I agree on the 'ignoring whole team' part though. I just wish you weren't punished for having a good game that exceeds the criteria numbers needed, but having a bad team :)

Mission Task Difficulty vs. RNG for the avg. player

I know it is doable, albeit a time-consumer in most cases, but my point is still that it's dependent on too many factors out of your control, whether you get it or not - so a luck based task seems a little dumb to me :b
  4. These screenshots are taken from my latest match. As I am grinding the Legendary Modules for each T10 I have, I might as well get some tasks done along the way, that I didn't do before- but there's one in particular I feel, I simply can't get by. Get 12 fires or floodings, be at the top of the scoreboard on your team, and WIN. These are the criteria. And while they might seem fair to most, every last one of them comes down to how lucky you are, and not how good you are - because a crap team almost always = a loss, fire flags etc. for more fires are still RNG based, and so on. I follow Flambass, Flamu, Jingles and so on on youtube, and I noticed Flambass had some severe problems with this task as well, because he almost always got 2/3 criteria per match, but because of either RNG or less-than-average player decisions, he either lost the match, didn't get enough fires or floods etc. - and he's a much better DD player than me... :D I'd rather have those "win" criteria removed from those kind of RNG based tasks with more than 2 criterias, so that even if you lose, but had a game like the one I had with almost 300k dmg, enough XP and fires/floods, you don't get 'punished' further, for having bad luck with the MM :P Killing 2 DDs in a CL/CA and getting a win in the same game is WAY easier than this :D And I know - it probably sounds like I just want the game to be easy to get through, but no, I'm fine with most aspects of the game and its mechanics - but considering how seldom games like these occur for the avg. player (and me too with the fire/flood numbers, not to mention the dmg) it might be something to look into :) So just a suggestion. not ordering WG to do anything specific :P

    Bug Reports

I encountered an issue a couple of minutes ago. Was in a match in my Hindenburg, on my way to a cap, and thought I'd enable the potential damage counter on the way there. When I hit "apply" my game started screeching, and switching from black screen, to game, to black screen, to game, about 15 times a second. When I hit the Home button and returned to my desktop, it stopped, but as soon as I reentered the game it began again. Now my Hindenburg is in a match I can't reconnect to, because the game threw it back into my port with flags and camo still on. Tried 3 times to go into a battle - wouldn't let me, so figured I'd take my Bismarck out for a spin. Wouldn't let me do that either. Closing and restarting the game worked out - I can join a battle now in my Bismarck; but my Hindenburg is still wearing camo and flags, but can't go anywhere :P

    Bug Reports

Have skimmed through all the different problems that people experience since the last patch. Haven't found my problem though, so here goes: Manual secondaries and AA (Tested on GK, Bismarck, Yamato, Des Moines, Hindenburg and Scharnhorst) doesn't work half the time. Neither does the Ctrl + F3 command (you have to zoom in or otherwise be able to put your aim directly at the target, but if the target is in a cap, well you know what probably happens instead) I've tested my keyboard over the last two days, and my mouse as well - and 10 minutes ago, I switched secondary targets (in my GK) two times and then it simply wouldn't let me change it anymore - which is quite annoying as I have 4 skill points invested in so many commanders on ships I can't use to their full potential anymore :) But when I ask in the in-game chat nobody else experiences this.

    When MM is fun!

I don't want to fight only BBs, although I must say it was fun to try something out of the ordinary :D It's already a campfest at T9 and T10, so no need for any more of that :P I was just wondering why that matchup occured in the first place, seeing as all the other battles I played yesterday had 3+ DDs on each side almost every single time, plus cruisers and carriers :)

    When MM is fun!

THIS. Oh this was fun! Although I was the 3rd or 4th to die in the early game I still managed to rack up around 85K damage so I'm not complaining about this MM :D Has anyone else encountered this? As I write this I've been matched in a 6vs6 with my Bismarck instead of the usual 12vs12?? o.0

    Bismarck Secondary Range not improving

Ah okay, then I've completely misunderstood the stats for the ship when I hover the mouse over the secondary and it tells me the max range is 8.4

    Bismarck Secondary Range not improving

I've changed my setup af bit, so instead of BFT I chose Superintendent (I can see why it's more useful) :b

    Bismarck Secondary Range not improving

My plan was to go for Manual Firing Training + 20% range module and use flags for the last range increase, and then when I had the skillpoints I would exchange the module for something else while retaining the 20% range increase through my commander skill :b But if I have to keep both of them to actually get the 20% increase, well then that's what I'll have to do ^^, I thought about getting AFT and then MFT, but I usually get in close in the end of a match so I thought the reduction in dispersion was more tempting (as I thought I'd already have the range increase because of the mounted module) :b But I'll just grind it, and use some of my free XP if my patience runs dry

    Bismarck Secondary Range not improving

So I need to get both the commander skill point AND the module (both of which state that they individually give a 20% range increase) to get the extra range?? o.0 I picked Basic Firing Training because I needed the 3 point skill; and chose Manual Fire Control because of the reduction in dispersion - but I'll just grind the extra XP then Thanks for the quick reply.

    Bismarck Secondary Range not improving

I've run into a little problem - and I hope some of you have some useful advice. On my Bismarck I've mounted everything people have suggested to get the 10.6 km range of the secondaries - but even though I have mounted the +20% module, it doesn't 'activate' so to speak. It's 8.4km stock, we all know that (and without flags it only fires at targets within that range with manual targeting) With flags, and the 5% increase they give, I've noticed my batteries starting to fire at aroung 8.8/8.9 km - and in both cases the +20% doesn't seem to implement itself even though the module is clearly mounted. Any ideas as to why? I'm thinking of grinding the XP for th additional 3 commander skill points and pick Advanced Firing Training for the 20%, and then unmount the module, but if it doesn't work to begin with... EDIT: as far as I'm concerned 8.4 km x 1.05 (5%) = 8.82 and 8.82 km x 1.20 (additional 20% from module) = 10.584 km range

    Divisions in Match Making

Gleb - read the topic. I play as T8, and my friends play as T7 because they don't have any ships of higher tiers. It is MM that throws something at them - I'm in a regular match up for my tier. So think before you post.

    Divisions in Match Making

I'm not saying that I want to make my matchmaking easier for me - though I can see it might sound like that. What I'm saying is that I can't play on my Bismarck, which I am grinding atm, because my teammates are grinding T7. So i have to play alone to get what I want, while they get to play as a group while grinding - that isn't particularly fun in my eyes. I don't have anything against me as a T8 going up against T10s, that 2 tier difference has been there since before I started - it's the 3 tier difference that is ridiculous in my eyes when MM pitches one cruiser against BBs way out of their league to handle. I was in my T5 BB while my friends were in T6's, and we got up against T8 - so it goes both ways. So call me selfish all you want - I can't use that in any constructive manner. Take into consideration that both of my friends have been playing for more than a year before I started - but unlike me, they have played different lines instead of grinding only one or two.
