Just have a look at the scoreboard. We lost. Hard. Both Mainz players stats are depicted in Screenshot 3 and 4. Both had 0 Random Battles with Mainz. Didn`t bother to check their coop stats. Is this a new low given the teams composition ?? I mean seriously ...

No worries mate. Well I usually don`t talk to the teammates in chat, the exception being giving ingame-commands but here also as little as possible (generally speaking). Yes I found some general strategy that works for me. At least most of the time. When I lose one solo Ops now, I stop playing or rather I`m looking for someone to play in a division.

Es gibt immer noch etwas, was ich nicht gesehen bzw. erlebt habe: Narai und die Missouri dreht eine Wende, fährt Richtung Hafen zurück um dann an der gekennzeichneten Position auf dem Screenshot endlich versenkt zu werden. Das Ableben mehrerer Teammitglieder auf demselben Screenshot sollte einen Eindruck bzgl. des vorhandenen Skillevels wiedergeben. Screenshot Nr. 3: Trotz einer 3-Mann-Division verlieren wir Cherry Blossom mit verbliebenen 5k des nördlichen Aerodroms. Es ist wieder Wochenende!

You do know that oftentimes especially around noontime/early afternoon there are tons of kids online a lot of whom basically don`t know crap about Operations or don`t care about the objectives/winning? You do know further that some teams are so inexplicably bad and inexperienced that you cannot possibly carry this deadweight even if you have a very strong DPM-cruiser like Mainz with a 21-point captain and a dedicated build? I would go as far as to say that some of these teams you couldn`t even carry with two very experienced players playing meta ships. I played Shimanto in the aforementioned failteam, did 160k damage before Raptor was blown out of the water - I was just baffled about these "apes" I had to play with (excuse me, apes are very intelligent). I didn`t even bother to look up most of the players stats here imho. Now, Shimanto is not a particularly great DPM ship. I`ve seen so many (solo) Ops-failteams by now that I`m seriously considering playing in Division only. But then again we are where we are right now. Discussing the lack of dedicated and experienced Ops-players. "Sticking with that kept the frustration to manageable levels for me." Well good for you. I was immensely frustrated after a lot of the failteams I experienced. Especially after witnessing how many (avoidable) mistakes they made. > "Well lets do some funny stuff shall we?" > "That didn`t go as planned, oh well ..." > "Moving on" ... I said it before more than once: The worst aspect about the players we`re discussing is in my humble opinion the ignorance across-the-board. You tell them to play the objectives like to defend Raptor, they ignore you. You tell them again, they still ignore you. You start pinging them, maybe you say some nasty things in chat too. They - you guessed it - ... ignore you! Until it`s too late and you lose the Operation, as foreseen and predicted by you. Seen it a million times.

Having the same issue as OP. Tired of losing because of my clueless teammates. Two or three days ago I was the only one next to Raptor (middle exit), the two remaining ships (Cleveland, Scharnhorst) had special orders to abandon the Raptor apparently. The others had already died ... of course I have told them to protect Raptor beforehand. Pointless match but just one failteam out of many.

War der einzige, der am Ende noch in der Nähe der Raptor gewesen ist. Die überlebende Cleveland und Scharnhorst hatten "besseres" zu tun.

Credits: No, I didn`t play Coop for that. As I said I mostly played Ops (took also some effort aka a lot of matches to accomplish). Base XP: Yeah well, I assume you know how bad the average playerbase is; Ops was no exception. I was lucky to play a couple of Ops in a very good Division (thanks @lup3s and the others), farming a good amount of BXP there. Apart from that I did some hardcarrying with Mainz in more than one (solo) Ops-match.

Screen 1, Ranked Bin wieder mal Topscorer und bekomme ein -1 reingedrückt. Screen 2, Hermes Nachdem Ruan schon zeitig massiv Schaden kassiert hatte, war die Runde nach gut 10 oder 12 Minuten vorbei. Screen 3, Aegis Vier verbliebene Schiffe des Teams kümmern sich einen feuchten darum, die Transporter zu beschützen. Alles woran sie offensichtlich interessiert waren, ist Schaden gefarmt zu haben. Eine Bismarck war neben meiner Person der einzige, der die Transporter beschützt hat. Habe ihm ein +1 gegeben. Dass wir diese Runde gewonnen hatten, haben die vier gezeigten Schiffe dieses Teams nicht verdient. Screen 4, Cherry Blossom Wir hatten sehr früh bereits unsere Zieten und Cleveland verloren (ehrlich, wie kann man ernsthaft eine Cleveland wasten, so ein fantastischer CL ...); ich habe dann auch ziemlich viel Schaden einstecken müssen und bin runtergebrannt. War neben meinem Clanmate der einzige, der vorne war! Alle anderen haben hinten rumgepimmelt. Bin dann aus dem Gefecht gegangen, um meinen Tagesauftrag im Coop zu beenden. Mein Clanmate hatte mir dann noch diese Anekdote aus der laufenden Runde erzählt: Die Kaga in "unserem" Team hatte sich offensichtlich bis kurz vor Schluss geweigert, das verbliebene Aerodrom anzugreifen - obwohl mein Clanmate ihn darum gebeten hatte. Sekunden vor Ablauf des Timers ist er dann mit Torpedobombern (!) zum Aerodrom geflogen! Ist es bei dieser Playerbase verwunderlich, dass auch ich mich irgendwann mental ausklinke und vorzeitig aus den Gefechten rausgehe ?? Ich glaube nicht. Habe leider mehr als genug Failteams erlebt bzw. die Screenshots gepostet. Flamu würde sagen: This playerbase is dented!

I just finished the last BXP-mission and purchased Matilda Kelly. Man, some kind of (unpleasant) grinding it was - especially the potential Damage missions ... Heres how I did it: Credit-mission: Played Ops potential Damage (arrr): Used 17,5 km naked Moskva in Coop (and some DDs imho), fired off shots to trigger the Bots shooting me. Still took me a lot of matches. Played a few Ranked matches as well. Defended-Ribbons: Likewise in Coop, waited before Caps and engaged any red bot. Commander XP: Played Ops with Boosters. BXP: Played mostly Ops with Mainz and Ranked. last but not least the 42k Free XP mission: Played a couple of Random Battles *cough* *cough* with blue FXP-Boosters. Played Ranked as well.

Well I can only refer to Ranked now because I don`t play Random Battles anymore (I did play a couple of Random Battles recently just because of the FXP mission, not in Cruisers though). It is doable, though very challenging at times. Luckily there were no CVs present here (and no subs) *cough* I played for the team (and for the win of course) while having no DD support. The 43%-Farragut on our team decided to be another Lemming and sailed to the other cap dying early. As expected. Our (skilled) Novorossiysk was the only BB who was supporting me on my flank. So to answer your question: It depends on the Cruiser you`re playing and the absence of CVs and/or subs I guess.

Zum Kontext: Habe heute nach mehreren gewonnenen Ops-Gefechten nur Hermes verloren.

Dann schau dir meine heutigen Failteams mal an (insbesondere Screen Nr. 3, 4 und 5) ... Screen Nr. 5 war die überlebende North Carolina aus Screen Nr. 4. Wenn zwei sehr erfahrene WoWs-Spieler in zwei Mainz ein Team nicht tragen können, sagt das wieder einiges aus. In dieser Runde habe ich auch zu aggressiv gespielt und dafür den Preis bezahlt. Mein Clanmate hatte in ca. 10 Minuten 230k Schaden verursacht. Die Gadjah Mada auf Platz zwei hat übrigens den Großteil der Runde mit Herumsegeln verbracht bzw. am Ende noch die Amagi bzw. Izumo getriggert - um dann von vier, fünf Schlachtschiffen verfolgt zu werden. Zweiten Platz geschafft aber hat nicht fürs Team gespielt.

Und weiter gehts: Exzellente XP-Runden in Division hingelegt gehabt (die Randomspieler in diesen Teams wussten alle genauso, was sie taten); 5 Minuten später starte ich ein neues Ops-Gefecht - Killer Whale. Tirpitz spamt erstmal den Chat zu ... Westlicher Exit, nachdem ich bereits gesehen hatte, wie gemütlich das Team im Hafen herumsegelte, schwante mir Übles. Zwei? Schiffe hatten sich tatsächlich bemüht, am südlichen Ausgang zu warten (auf was?), eine Albemarle war glaub ich neben mir am RV, bevor er versenkt wurde - der Rest ... entweder im Norden oder wieder - mitten im Hafen. Perth und Colorado. Waren ziemlich stationär und haben sich soweit ich das beurteilen konnte, so gut wie nicht bewegt. Zur Colorado: Siehe Screen Nr. 3 > das einzige Schiff, mit dem er Random gefahren ist, war eine New York (!!) Mehr muss ich nicht sagen, glaube ich. Bin eine Minute vor Ablauf des Timers am RV geplatzt, während Perth und Colorado immer noch mittig im Hafen rumstanden. Danke wieder für nichts!

Nachdem ich mit der Albemarle ein paar sehr gute Runden inklusive blauen XP-Boostern hatte, habe ich mir endlich die Drake in den Hafen stellen können.

Failteam, während ich weiter meine Albemarle grinde, das nächste ... -1 bekommen, weil ich wohl nicht bereit war, mich wie die anderen Tomaten sinnlos zu opfern. Lernt endlich mal, wie man Narai korrekt spielt, ihr [etwas einfügen] Wochenendspieler. edit: Screenshot hinzugefügt.
