Well the game is going to get a performance based ranking system soon, isn't it? Clan Wars. The league your clan goes in is dependent on the performance of its members. If it works, why can't a similar league system be implemented in Random battles? Other than the queue numbers argument. MM could easlly pull players down or up a league if needed to make up team numbers.

Wouldnt work since you can pad your winrate with seal clubbing Only league table that is viable is simply number of battles fought, its no guarentee of good teams, but you would hope with more battle experience more game knowledge is built, and its the one stat you cant really pad, unless you want to spend hours going AFK in battles simply to be in the top league. Or build leagues based on total career base xp gained, but again you can farm XP.

Nobody is showing noobs how to play. All the how to play series stuff is a couple of years old and behind the current game mechanics. All the best CC how to play a ships series are at least 12 months old and behind the current game mechanics. All the CC's seem to want to do and post now is talk about upcoming changes or complain about something. WG have no tutorials. If you keep changing the mechanics your tutorial is out of date in a couple of patches. MM from T5 onwards promotes passive play - at T5 and 6 you only survive and score usually if you are passive. The economy rewards passive play, so you can fail your way to top tier. WG wont tell people how they want us to play the game but they will nerf / buff / change mechanics if players act like competitive humans and 'exploit' a mechanic or ships abilities to gain an edge. Bound to be more I havent thought of, but thats this noobs perspective.

Don't disagree with you, buying a premium is quicker than grinding the silver ships to get to a tier, and I'd be wrong to say I havent been tempted to do just that, go out and buy a premium T8 and go play with the big boys so to speak. But whats the point, I don't have the experience or skill to play at that level, I'd just be a burden to my team and I wouldn't learn anything except how to die quickly, get crap scores, and be on the receiving end of some choice and colourful comments in chat. Saying that I do have Warspite and Belfast in my port, but I bought them whilst they were on sale. Only when I think I hold my own in T6 and T7 will I take them out in Randoms.

The reason I've seen quoted by WG premiums apparent better stats, is that it's better players investing in the game, you normal potato doesnt usually buy a prem, except for the iconic ones, Tirpitz for example, and lovingly nicknamed Derpitz for obvious reasons.

Getting annoyed with this now, it has gone beyond an inconvenience @Tuccy @Kandly.I know we've had a weekend but is anybody actually working on this problem atm? and is it true it's only affecting the EU cluster? Because if it is that makes the whole sorry episode look even worse.

Styill trying to figure out my main class TBH, still playing everything except CV to see what makes them tick, but cruisers are looking likely as my main atm, I like BB's but its easy to play them badly and still live and get reasonable numbers. In a cruiser if I dont play well, I die or score terrible so I know I have something to learn from that game.

I logged in Thursday after the patch and did a few battles in my t3 - t4 bracket, cos I'm going slow and steady trying to learn the game. Gave up, but thinking of dipping my toes in the water again. I've got to learn this game to play it properly, and that means playing regularly, but its been so bad the last few weeks with the summer hols I haven't been able to learn anything or develop my skills. Just felt the internal rage building so had to walk away for a while.

And don't forget T5's. All I can do is play passive and hope the enemy screws up. If I try to push well, death comes swiftly from all angles. The MM above T4 is actively teaching noobs to play passively. They get into bad habits and cos playing passively works up the tiers and you can fail your way to T10 the game is as it is today.
