    ramming enemy let sort this

As a history buff, I'd love the game to be more realistic, but WoWS is not a simulator, it's an arcade game, and so I can accept that many mechanics are not realistic.

    ramming enemy let sort this

You do know ramming does serious damage. Look at this incident In early December, Warspite was involved in another incident when, during an exercise, she collided with her sister-ship Barham, which caused considerable damage to Warspite's bow. She made it back to Scapa Flow and from there to Devonport for more repair work, rejoining the fleet on Christmas Eve 1915. That damage resulted in Warspite loosing a considerable part of her bow up to and including both of her sea anchors. There really is nothing wrong with the ramming mechanics we have now, and they are very much a last resort option. If you are going to knife fight with a BB that doesn't have torps or is on really low health you should expect him to try and ram you.

Deep Water Torps for IJN CVs

So by your logic, because CV's dominate a game would you also elect to abstain from meeting say an omni 3 man div in battle? They can have just as much effect. It all comes down to player skill, the fact that is displayed in a single ship with CV's is irrelevant. The answer is for WG to get players to play CV's and I'm afraid to say get good.
  5. You make a truly sensible request .... But if they did that they wouldn't make nearly as much money. And that's why they wont do it.

Deep Water Torps for IJN CVs

I understand and feel your frustration. There is nothing worse than facing a competent CV player, whilst yours fumbles about. Removing CV's from game or giving players the opinion not to see them is not the answer. Historically the CV was the defining force in navel warfare in WW2, and has been ever since. The easiest thing WG could do to make games more balanced, is to do some form of skill based MM for CV's. The real issue CV's pose in game is to expose the distinct lack of team work. If the right ships stick together and position themselves correctly the CV is only as much threat as any other ship class.

Deep Water Torps for IJN CVs

IJN DW torps , what a wonderful idea comrade. And while we are at it lets give IJN bombers Barnes Wallis style bouncing bombs, can be used against BB's and cruisers but will bounce over DD's.

    Concealment Expert overrated?

Since everybody seems to be suggesting CE is needed on everything, is it not time WG just buffed everyone's concealment and made a new skill? A bit like they did with SA before I joined the game

    Skill based teams now!

The problem isn't just player skill, a truly balanced MM would have to take each ship, it's abilities, and each players skill in their chosen ship into account as well. The problem is that would be an absolute nightmare to code, and lead to massively extended queue times, as the poor CPU melting under its workload and convoluted rule set struggled to build any balanced match. And what happens when you add divisions into the equation, with a good player teaming with a bad player. Human intuition and game meta knowledge make the idea of balancing relatively easy, but actually putting it into practice, isn't going to happen, even if it is a good idea..

    Prem Ships Vs Grinding

Mostly for credits, given that I'm grinding lines. But also because some of them are just iconic ships with tremendous history behind them
  11. Either Murmansk or Marblehead unless T5 MM is changed

    Hey I can hope can't I?

    Further Clan base development?

That's not what I was told. I was told the limit was to avoid the problem WG has in WoT with large clans dominating the clan economy. As a clan commander things I'd like to see .... 1 - Either increase the clan member limit to say 75, OR give us some way for clans that are part of a single group to ally together. Our clan group has two clan tags, and other large clans have multiple tags too, so give us a way to share resources (oil) or at least form Clan battle teams across our tags. We have to keep moving people around to have enough people online together to form teams, given the terrible Clan Battle time slots EU have been given. . 2 - Create a new clan role - Division Commander, who's sole powers are the ability to create and lead a clan wars division.

    Confidence

I'm very much a casual player, and have been slowly working my way up the tiers since I started the game back in March, currently happy in T7 and just dipped my toes into T8 with Bismark. Stiil so much to learn in this game, it's the reason why I love it so much. Besides the obvious learning of the game mechanics, meta, maps etc, one thing strikes me as having a huge impact on a battle, confidence. It doesn't really matter if you find yourself in a bad situation, or, holding a flank with one or two team mates with the bulk of the enemy team in front of you, or looking at the teams MM has dealt you, if you feel confident in your plan, you have a better end result. Sure you still lose some battles, but your performance and rewards are so much better if you have had confidence in what you have been doing. At least that the way it seems to work for me. Anybody else find the same?

    Confidence

I think you hit the nail on the head. The more battles I play the better I am getting at reading the situation, and knowing when to push and when to run... ermm I mean make a tactical withdrawal.

    Concealment Expert overrated?

What skills you take really depend on what you want to do with the captain long term. If you intend to use him to grind a line then a skill that doesn't seem obvious in one ship / tier combo will pay later up the line. If your captain is specific to a ship, then skill him to suit the ship and your style of play.

    USN Cruiser line split

I saw mentions somewhere that compensation would be similar to that given when the RU DD's split.
  20. To be honest, in the last couple of weeks I've had the opposite. I went through a similar spell of freezes etc, but after I deleted and reinstalled the game everything is fine.

    Concealment Expert overrated?

i have to disagree, given the current BB heavy meta Not being spotted whilst closing in and trying to get yourself into a useful position, or in some cases gun range, near enough demands Concealment on a cruiser as the first 4pt skill. And it can be very useful on brawling BB's like the KM's as they burn so well, its nice to have it so you can get that bit closer before the HE spam firing starts.

Reporting CLAN members to the CLAN leaders

And there sits the real problem. As a clan commander I would listen to anybody who bought a concern about the conduct of a member of my clan group to me . However he would need to back up his claim with a replay, otherwise how I am I to know its not just sour grapes. Any automated system would be open to abuse just like the karma system. It would take repeated concerns from multiple people over several days / weeks before a clear pattern of misbehavior emerged, unless they were really dumb and did it in div with other clan members. However if WG wanted to build an automated reporting system that told clan admins when a member of the clan became a team killer that might be useful, but even then, in battle poop happens especially if you are learning a line and friendly fire incidents and accidental kills will always happen.

    The Ultimate Frontier

It's amazing what a little bit of teamwork can do isn't it . And OP don't send your planes against ships with amazing AA, that's what the rest of your team is there to take down for you.
