    You do know there is no such thing as a random number in computing? The generation of a random number is a calculation based on a seed. So it is a pseudorandom number unless a non deterministic external seed (entropy) is used? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Random_number_generation. If its a psuedo random then patterns can emerge. But remember all this happens on the server side, so the results would be the same for everyone.
  3. If they removed the plane spotting from attack squadrons and made actual low speed spotters as an alternative i.e. go spot or go do dmg, that would help greatly. The classes that rely on concealment to get into position or do their jobs, are compromised as soon as the battle starts i.e. cruisers and DD's. It promotes the horrible campy meta we all complain about. And I am sick of my luck with the effectiveness of my AA being pitched with the enemies skill at evading it.

    Ok unless they are really trying to kill off the game, the only logical explanation now is what I said yesterday in another thread. WG are creating a problem so they can sell us a solution down the line. With so many plane attacks, the time has come for WG to use all the odd tier CV models, and bring in the fleet support carriers with fighters.

    With Strike CV, hybrids and airstrikes, it looks like we are getting close to the point where WG can introduce their counter, The Fleet Support CV with fighters. Its the only thing I can see WG thinking of doing that they have previously talked about They have the models (Odd tier CV's). And there does seem to be a pattern of WG creating a problem and then selling us a solution later down the line. The drop area has been made larger, and the duration between charges has been increased, the alpha has been reduced and the fire chance reduced. Still not sure that's enough, but WG are making changes. I'm not supporting WG I'm just trying to stay positive, if I don't what's the point of even trying to keep playing the game. Which is why I say we have to try and adapt. By adapt I mean play differently, do the unexpected. It might work it might not. We either try it and die, we find it's fun or actually it's not. We then have the choice to either keep playing the game or not. Right now the way things are, doing the predictable against what we have means death from above. I'm as frustrated as you, there is little counter play against air attack when it comes these days, its your luck against an opponents skill, in the case of the CV and hybrids. There isn't much skill involved with the airstrike feature from the attackers point of view it seems at the moment.

  8. I thought that then saw the reduced alpha , reduced fire change, and increased duration between charges. Still not sure that's enough to balance them.

    So your solution, is to give a BB the same firepower as a current BB + a cruiser + a gunboat DD, and you think that is fair? Historically that may be accurate, but this is an arcade game not a simulation, and therefore it's totally unworkable.

    No. Before that DD gets to that close range I get a warning that I have been spotted. Engaging a bit of brain.exe lets me work out what has spotted me, and I can prepare or take counter action The issue isn't that DD's are OP. The issue is that a meta has developed which means the class that should be there to effectively counter DD's doesn't get played or survive long enough to be the counter - cruisers. With no one to keep them in check, DD's are able to be very effective in the right hands. What needs to happen is cruiser survivability needs to be improved, so they can actually get into a position where they can counter the DD.

    If you use the minimap and read the battle then you should not 'get jumped'. The only way you will ever get jumped is if you have been outplayed, and since this is an arcade game that is going to happen sometimes.

    Ok if you want more effective 2ndrys (i.e. under player control) to counter what you perceive to be an OP class, the DD, then it only seems fair to extend your request for this new gameplay to other classes players feel are broken or where the interaction is very one sided. Lets extend player controlled guns to include a ships AA mounts. Paraphrasing your words here ... I do not like about WOWS is that part of the guns on a ship are all but useless and cannot be controlled. Even with captain skills and ship modules. When you invest that much ( and obviously cannot take other skills and modules) you should not still get drunken spraying guns.

    No but as has been the OP's theme for most posts recently, DD's are OP and need nerfing or other classes need buffing to compensate against them.

    T4 with CV's would be lols for them only. But I fully agree why not some lower tier fun. There are some really fun ships down there.

    When I asked @MrConwayabout not getting the flags anymore on live stream. His response was go to the armoury and use coal to buy the flags and you will never have to detonate again. There is your answer plain and simple. WG want you to buy the flags.

    I play to win, meaning I try to play the battle types objectives, so my WR is about 54%, but my PR is low because farming dmg is a secondary consideration. Also I rarely play to complete mission objectives, but I will occasionally pick a boat to complete a mission if I need too.

    Agreed removing flags from achievements is not good. Trying hard and getting kills does reward you. More damage = more XP and credits, but those flags, WG clearly want us to buy them from now on.
