Half term holidays here in the UK, finishes this weekend I think, but every day has become a weekend at the moment. Also feels like everyone regardless of the class they are playing is determined to make an island their Waifu. Looks like Summer 2018 is turning into a WoWS Summer of Island Waifu love.

We are still here and always looking for anybody with an interest in history to join us. Stats don't matter nor does the tiers you play and we will be taking part in Clan Wars again, if you are interested in that.

I'd limit captial ships (BB + CV) to 3 or 4 in a team, make-up the rest with cruisers and DD's, but avoid crap like 1 dd or 2 cruisers only.

MM is getting better with the new class tier matching. WG say they have more changes planned. I have only 1 issue with +/- 2 MM and that is in T5 and T8 where more times than not you find yourself bottom tier. I really wish WG would relax their mantra of MM must keep people in queue for the minimum time. I don't know about everybody else but I would be happy to wait a little longer for the MM to build matches if it meant there was a more even distribution of battle tier. +/-2 MM should mean exactly that not the +2 most of the time which players seem to notice or experience. And how does banning Premiums from ranked ensure more Unicums play randoms? -

Well if WG can't/won't change the way Radar and Hydro currently work, then they could make some effort to balance the numbers of Radar and Hydro on each team. At least each team would think they have equal spotting capabilities. The issue then becomes spawn points, as there does appear to be definite advantages on some maps. I think somebody already mentioned North as an example. -

I couldn't believe it when WG said that, given that normal spotting mechanics relies on lIne of sight. Why would the average player that can grasp that concept, not understand that Radar and Hydro work on the same principle -

I took EM 2 reasons; 1 - Taking the captain up the line, and the skill becomes useful in higher tiers 2 - Omaha is quite agile and when you are turning hard and wiggling to evade incoming fire EM helps keep your turrets pointing more or less on target, so you don't have to sail in a straight line very long to get shots off on target. And in Omaha which is squishy once spotted you really don't want to sail straight for longer than absolutely necessary, if you want to survive very long.

It's easy mode, you don't have to worry about angling, and because lots of players don't know how to handle fires effectively, perma fires are easy to set and over time the damage racks up. You can set perma fires on a target and move on to another, set him burning and go back to the first, when his fires finally go out. And in the current reward setup damage means more XP and credits. -
^THESE^ All the information on the battle UI is there to help you, all you have to do is use it. But on a serious note OP. What good would a battle ends in 1 minute message do. If you can't do in 19 minutes of battle what needs to be done to win or make a meaningful contribution to events, what are you going to achieve in the last 60 seconds?

This is not the answer. To fix bad play at all tiers, the fix really is simple.... .... Don't reward failure. Currently you can play as badly as your incompetence or lack of skill will allow, and you will still progress up the tiers. Only if you don't progress will you learn to play better. There is no incentive at the moment to learn how to play well.

I was thinking about this too. Concealment is only going to work to get you into a good position, or to help you disengage. Once you start shooting you are going to get spotted. I choose IFHE at T6 because I use Cleveland there for Operations. When she moves to T8 that's not going to be the case, and I'm going to have to way up the pros and cons of concealment vs IFHE all over again.

@MrConway. What does ^this^ actually mean. At the moment I've gotton up to Cleveland in the US CC line and I have a 10pt captain on her, with IFHE as the 4pt skill. Obviously IFHE isn't going to be any use on Pensacola, and the CA line going forward, so will I have to pay gold to respec my captain, or will I get a free captain respec as part of the split process, when the captain on T6 Cleveland is moved to the T6 Pensacola? -

All of this is so true, and you see at the lower tiers that I play in too. The problem is you play bad and still get rewarded for it, so never learn to do anything different. Bad habits and lack of knowledge move up the tiers with you. -
Chat ban - small change at least...

The simple way to avoid a chat ban is don't use it, no matter what the provocation. Save all your salt and frustration, and vent it in TS or Discord with your clan mates or people you div with. -

Exactly ^THIS^ BB's have a large HP pool, armor and heals for a reason, too soak up and tank dmg for the rest of the team, whilst dealing heavy damage, and posing a threat to anybody wanting to head in the area of the map the BB is covering. All people see is range, and the simple fact that if they sit at max range, they still have a chance of hitting the enemy whilst getting nothing coming back because the enemy are out of range. Part of being a BB driver is to cover and deny access too the import routes into CAPS, whilst allowing your team to push in and take the CAPS for the points. -
Never said it was good, I'd consider that an average performance, but really that is all it takes to complete the OP, my base XP was 1400 ish and I was top scorer .
