^This^ Slow down and take your time. T5 is a step change, stay at t5/6 for a bit and learn the game. 400 or 500 battles at least T8 is another big step change, you need to have worked out how the game works and how to get the best from your ships before you get here, or you are in for a world of pain and anguish. I'm very much a casual gamer, just over 500 random battles but many more Co-Op. and really I'm only just dipping my toes into the T8-10 meta.

An AoE ship would be a terrible idea. Sit at the back hidden behind an island and encourage your team to camp.

Are they AFK or still loading in though, or are they just waiting to see which way the team goes? The only times I see delays in loading into a battle myself, are first battle of the day or when i change ship, I get a slightly longer loading in time, In terms of one class being more AFK than others, I don't see that, it's an equal distribution across the classes. BUT as others have mentioned it's much more noticeable with DD's as you expect them to run ahead and start spotting.

They tried death mode in Beta. It failed because people just ran away and hid, so you couldn't kill them. The whole point of the current battle modes is to force you to do something, death matches are just run and hide events

Then they don't really deserve to be part of your clan. Sounds like you need to chop out some dead wood. Clan = community so what is the point of being part of one. The social interaction and ability to div with people I now call friends is so much fun.

OMG ! We are doing OK always have enough for one team and so we swap people out to give everybody that wants ago the chance. Issue for us is real life must always be allowed to take priority, as is right. Kids, partners and work are all necessary evils.. Just wish CB times and dates could be extended.

I believe its anything landing in a 700m radius around your ship counts as potential damage, We had a mission a while ago to get so much potential damage and the criteria listed that radius as the criteria for potential. I would hope that the potential damage calc also took that it was your ship targeted into account.

With you on this one. Yes everything seems expensive, but then we still don't know what the full potential for gaining coal is as of yet. Love the arsenal, and that I can choose to buy what I want, as and when I can afford it.

I am very much a casual gamer, and been playing WoWS for 15 mths on and off. I've only got two T8 ships a the moment, but I'm feeling like I might be ready to put my big boy pants on, and grind for my first T10. But I'll still play low tiers along the way, I play classes and tiers to suit my mood and have fun. And that really is the operative word, fun, it's a game so we should be playing for enjoyment and relaxation.

I quite like T2 -4 play as well, there are some fantastic ships in those tiers. My point was people rush through them because they wan to get to high tier quickly, it's the winning instinct in everybody. But... Gettimg to high tiers quickly in WoWS isn't winning, so you should progress up the tiers as you feel comfortable with the game play / mechanics. T5 and T8 are big step changes and it takes time to adapt. So if you get to T5 and are not comfortable, go back to T4 and play some more and learn a bit more about the way the game works and then try again. It's my biggest criticism of WoWS that you can fail your way up the tiers. It will take you longer but you can get to T10 by playing badly.

Remember how lots of people called x marks the spot on the extended minimap in Aslains modpak a cheat and aiming mod? . Well everybody is going to have it now, as of 0.7.7 44e Minimap will display the point where the guns of the ship are aimed. This will allow players to better understand the firing and aiming mechanics so how do we all feel? Personally it doesn't bother me, and i think its good everyone gets it, but how do the smoke using drivers feel about it? Not trolling or trying to stir, I'm genuinely interested.

There is definitely that sometimes. One more than one occasion I've seen somebody deleted on my team, for their own - how can I put this politely - lack of experience or insight, only for them to rage that enemy player X should be reported etc etc etc.
