^THIS^ Dmg = XP and credits, so people think thats all the game is about
-
@MrConway Myself and a number of clan mates are seeing the same thing, It doesn't happen every time, but the pattern is always the same. The client crashes on the first battle of your gaming session and always at the same point, immediately after the team line up is shown at the start of battle and the client tries to load up the battle UI, to render your ship. You get a Big World engine exception error. You close the client window and restart the game. and everything is fine for the rest of your gaming session. It also doesn't matter what battle mode you select, it happens on them all including Operations and training Rooms, and it's only ever your first battle of your session.

It's called being a sheep and blindly following everyone else to their death.

Clan Base 2.0: WG favoring BIG clans again
Fat_Maniac replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
As clan commander I held a clan wide poll, and asked everyone for their priorities. I then spent the oil on the upgrades we all wanted in proportion to the % vote each building received. very democratic and went down well with the members. -
Clan Base 2.0: WG favoring BIG clans again

The thing about the steel bonus's is though ... The amount of bonus you get, won't really help you get what yuou want that much quicker. A couple of my clan mates have worked out how much steel they earned from ranked and CB, seasons, and concluded that the bonus the steel port gives is'nt really going to get you your target ship much earlier than you would without the upgrade. You still need to get o the 'same season', you just get what you want a little earlier in that season. 260,000 oil for that really doesn't make economic sense. You can probably earn more steel, by max'ing out the other upgrades to give you better commander progress and quicker grinds for more T10's. -
@MrConway not sure if this is an intended 'feature' or not. Ship criteria for Operation Dynamo are T6-7 Allied DD's or T8 Cossack. However if you form a div of 7 and have t6 DD's and somebody tries to take Cossack, the div UI won't let you take Cossack because you are breaking the div +/- 1 rule.

Randoms at the moment are just meh. Complete stomps one way or another. The level of toxicity in chat, seems high. I feel this and a lot of my clan mates do too. I have a stock Roon, I took her out for her first random battle last week, and whilst I have a thick skin and tend to ignore the toxic chat, After receiving a hurl of abuse from a player on my team because he died quickly in his Kurfurst and 'I wasn't playing Roon right', even after I pointed out she was stock and this was my first random outing in her his response was, to go ruin someone else's game. This really does sum up how randoms feel at the moment, nobody wants to take responsibility for their own game and actions and everyone wants to blame everyone else for their failures.

Could we get Belfast back in changed form?
Fat_Maniac replied to Yedwy's topic in General Discussion
Well Hydro is being standardized, Radar is a problem and WG have two solutions prototyped. So in future she could be resold. -
I know this is Heresy of the highest order but - Is the New Op Dynamo just a bit too easy?
Fat_Maniac replied to IanH755's topic in General Discussion
It is easy if ... Your team takes coordinated actions like when in a div, dropping sensible consecutive smoke screens for example when the planes come in. But, play it alone with a random team, where nobody talks to each other, or everyone drops smoke or sets off DefAA at stupid times and it's really easy to mess it up. I went out with 2 clan mates last night in a div, and we where able to get 5 stars, on our second attempt. -
British Camouflage, not very British!

Try putting it on a German ship in London port. It's just wrong on so many levels. -
You need to post that in the current release bugs section, they might actually look into it then.

It looks like an mods issue. I was seeing them until I installed the score timer mod in the official modpack and now I get this ...
-
no ping issues, steady 25ms here, but I have had spells of terrible stutter and sound breakup and a crash as I entered battle. This is exactly the same as happened after the last patch landed, and I'm not the only person in my clan with the issue. I did a client integrity check, it didn't find anything.

Only known treatment for Uselessitis

That would be Uselessitis.

I'd much prefer to see WG give us something to actually spend, excess resources on. I'd love to be awash with credits but I'm not, I always need them, but i know some of you have 10's and 100's of millions with nothing to spend them on. It would be much better for WG to give you a Stalingrad style ship, something special, something unique, that you could spend your credits on, rather than giving you the option to convert one resource into another.
-
Some people wouldn't have to grind to get those resources, if they could simply convert those they already have. Also if this was enabled someone with Missouri could simply take her out and earn credits and convert them to steel. Missouri already broke the games credit economy, it's why WG withdrew her. You are asking WG to allow her to break the steel and coal economies too.
-
Do this and people sitting on hordes of resources, need not play the game as much, and WG want us to play the game as much as possible, because that encourages us to spent cash.
-
You can buy the camo's and flags for cash in the premium shop, so a monetary value can be assigned to them

Battlecruisers for collectors and all other players
Fat_Maniac replied to pzkpfwv1d's topic in General Discussion
All would be good, but how do you make those in the same class unique and worth having. Besides not making them a separate class, I'd really like WG to be consistent in how they bring BC's into the game. We have BC's classed as BB's and we have BC's classed as cruisers. Just make them all the same class.- 26 replies

Can we have axis vs. allies events?
Fat_Maniac replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
Easy. join a clan. We have done Axis vs Allies. It's a lot of fun, works best if you all stick to the same tier. -
The problem with Seal Clubbers
Fat_Maniac replied to Th3Cupc4keOfD3struction's topic in General Discussion
Hell yes. Or better still T4, and Clemson all the way! -
Tin Foil Hat time. WG want to make Clan Battles a global event. What better way to test a global clan matching algorithm, that setting up a short series of events (3 consecutive weekends), to 'match' clans from different regions against each other and use raw dmg done as a measure of success. i actually liked the concept of the event. However the communication around it was terrible, and clans spent the first weekend working out what it was they were supposed to do. Clan Admins then spent the next 2 weekends repeating how it works and what needed to be done to their clan members.

The problem with Seal Clubbers
Fat_Maniac replied to Th3Cupc4keOfD3struction's topic in General Discussion
Any one is free to play any tier, and new players get protected MM for a little while. And as for discouraging experienced players to play low tier, No. Low tier play is really fun, and different from high tier play, plus there are a lot of premiums down there. So what are experienced players supposed to do with their low tier premiums. Have them as port queens? -
His torps, his responsibility, no other team mate should have to be made to avoid them. The Montana could have been angling himself against an enemy, or moving to try and stop an enemy getting into a flanking position on him. Turning to avoid the friendly torps could have exposed his broadside. It's the Udaloi's resposibility to get himself into a position where he can safely fire his torpedoes at the enemy without compromising the rest of his team.
