    This also happens if you select the 'Continue Mission' button. The game will put you in a random battle regardless of the battle type you have selected.

    Some premium ships are good captain trainers. Take your silver captain and move him to the premium without penalty and farm commander exp.

  10. I've just finished my New Orleans grind. From a performance viewpoint, I found battles only ever went one of two ways, fantastic or utter rubbish, there was no middle ground. Might be me and my play style. I really don't see that New Orleans needs a buff, you just have to adapt depending on the battle tier. If you are low tier play more defensively and use islands. If you are high tier you can be more aggressive.

    I really have no issue with + / - 2 MM. It teaches you that you have to adapt your play style depending on your tier vs the battle tier. What is annoying is when you get matches where consumables are grossly imbalanced, be it Radar Hydro, or Smoke. I'd love WG to try and balance this out, we would all have better games, or we all might feel like we are having better games. The problem is adding an extra layer of complexity to the MM, and all the issues that could bring.

    And to find and fix a bug, you have to be able to reproduce it. There are 1000's of lines of code, and a huge number of variables which could be the root cause. A replay would be the start of that process. A person saying it's a bug isn't enough, there has to be some evidence to prove it's not just that persons perception and misinterpretation.

    Play in a div of 7 so you can coordinate your actions and ... Don't take a DD. Once spotted just like in coop the bots will focus you down. Take a cruiser with a high DPM, Nurnburg or Budyonny work well, and stay within the confines of the base area and let the enemy come on to you. If you take too much damage fall back to the repair zones. With the bot CV's gone you have no need to worry about planes, and if someone on your team takes a CV they can spot the bots whilst they are at long range for you.

OP This wont work, If you match players in ranked teams on ability constantly, you will end up with closer fought matches, but the 'less skilled' players will be able to climb the ranks just as effectively as the UNICUMS because both sets of players will have a similar chance of wining their respective battles. So everyone would move to more of a 50% WR. You would have to reward the skilled player game victories with more points to reflect their ability in order for them to stay at the top of the ranking list.

    NO. The flag reduces the risk by 100%. But other flags increase your detonation risk, so you used the anti det for 100% reduction but a flag that gave say a 5% increase in detonation chance. The flag effects are cumulative so -100 + 5 = -95% chance of detonation. Is how I thought it works, but Bugger me with a barge poll you learn something new everyday !!!! from tyhe wiki ... -100% to the risk of your ship's magazine detonating. Note: This flag reduces detonation chance to zero, regardless of other modifiers that may increase the chance of detonation (such as India X-Ray and Juliet Whiskey Unaone).

    General feedback

    @MrConway I'm sure you know the port UI functions are laggy and slow since 0.8.0 was introduced. The Training Room UI is the same but much much worse. If a number of people try to enter the room at the same time, the hosts client crashes or freezes completely. Moving waiting players to a team, can take many seconds. Once you manage to actually click the player and drag your mouse over the appropriate team and drop them in, it takes the UI a long time to actually show you have selected that player and then actually move them to the team.

    Idea for better DD play

    I'd like to see spotting from air ranges reduced to be the same as a ships max AA range. If the CV wants to spot then there is a cost to doing it.

    No The lack of CV's in game before the rework, along with the mechanics we had at that time, lead in part to the development of the then fashionable play style and meta, the player base adopted/followed to maximise their earnings. Now CV's are back in significant numbers, for how long nobody really knows, the game meta will change again. Camping at the back or parking up next to an island, are going to make you a target for CV's. LIfe for DD's is difficult, buffs may be needed, and players will have to change their play style to make the class work. Once things settle down and some sort of balance starts to appear players have two choices; adapt and change the way they play ,or, carry on regardless and have a hard life. Most people wanted a CV rework. Well right now we are in the slow process of getting one. And as others have said, you do know this game is constantly changing and evolving? It isn't a finished product that you buy where we get DLC's to add new content, or tweak mechanics. You put money into this game at your own risk. The game is evolving constantly. What is here today might be gone in 6 or 12 months, to be replaced by something new. I was going to buy a year of premium time at Christmas when it was on offer, but I knew the CV rework was coming and things were going to be difficult for a few patches, so I didn't buy it, I'll wait til the game settles down and the new balance and meta starts to develop.

    And WG told us in the release notes .... Please mind that during a test it is impossible to tweak up the balance right because a test server is very much different from the main server. It offers different game conditions and incomplete statistics, with many of your opponents replaced with bots. For several months following the release of reworked carriers, any of the aircraft parameters, including the number and types of aircraft in a flight formation, will be subject to change. In doing so, we would very much appreciate your feedback and support! It's not balanced, they know it, they told us. So what do people expect? The game is going to be broken for a while, but WG need real data and lots of it to balance things properly. The release is NOT a major fail, it delivers the concept and core mechanics we all saw on PTS and knew were coming. Now the balancing can start, but that is going to take time too.

    1. WG have said it's not balanced and explained why. They have to balance it on the live servers with real players and real game play. The way to think of this I think is the game has gone into beta again. 5. This I agree I have no idea why and seems like a crazy decision. Waiting for Sub_Oct's response as promised sometime today/ 6. How can you bring in a new premium ship when the game is not going to balanced? Pay 1 million FXP comrade, a few weeks down the line, oh because of CV rework she is OP. Since game not balanced you cannot gather meaningful performance stats to see how the ship is truly performing, and what if WG were forced to nerf her? Same goes for any new ship or line, WG cannot bring any in until the rework is stable. 7. This is an arcade game, and not a simulation, but a new arcade mode as ranked, wow that does seem crazy.
  25. Those CV's are coming back as an alternate line at some point in the future.
