Thank you for this. I've been thinking about the German BB line for a while now. I'm on Bismarck, in fact she was my first T8, but I was so disappointed when I actually got to her, I put her down for a long time. I've had a few tentative games in her over recent months, as my game knowledge has improved and I do feel more comfortable in her now. However I have been wondering if it's actually worth me investing in the grind for the GK. Only because I like the idea of a full 2ndry spec beast to try and have some fun with. The problem is with their infamous dispersion and the apparent power creep the line feels like it has suffered in recent times, I'm wondering if just buying a T8 or T9 USN premium BB is the better option Not least because of the imp[roved earnings but also given the horror stories I hear about FDG. But here now is my dilemma. With the Massy and Georgia, being readily available, would it simply be better for me to invest cash in one of them. At the moment I simply don't know.

Lets not forget Glorious Russian Navy vs Fishing Trawlers in the North Sea, where in the darkness they managed to shell themselves https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogger_Bank_incident -

That was when WG realised the CV rework needed some tweaking

It sounds like a thermal issue. The game is hard on some graphics cards, and they generate a lot of heat when pushed. I had a similar issue with my old rig built on an mATX form factor, when playing WoWS. I ended up buying a bigger case and putting the biggest fans in it I could. Game worked fine after that.

Seen it, reported it a couple of weeks ago. Had it on all T3 ships I've played

Pinkie Scum: 'Leaving Battle Early' Penalty.
Fat_Maniac replied to TeumessianFox's topic in General Discussion
Sorry, but it's your PC and YOUR responsibility to make sure it's in a fit state to play the game. If it's unstable and fails in a game then fair enough the first time. But multiple times, sorry don't blame the game, you have to carry the can for this. As others have said how does the game 'know' your PC died. All the server can determine is an attached client suddenly disconnects. Your disconnect puts your team at a disadvantage. -
But that is sort of the point the OP is making. in order to spend those 8 pts you need at least a 14pt captain (1+2+3+4+4), and without Concealment as your first 4pt you become a target for the HE spammers, as you make your push to get those 2ndrys in range, so really you do need 18pts to get there.

A word of warning regarding Viribus-Unitis. Last test-changes are not applied.

A T4 premium wouldn't make them much money, so seems unlikely. But the model is stunning. The issue with another silver line, is what flavour and traits are left to give it? -

I wonder if the nerfs will be applied to a silver line equivalent ship, or a new T4 premium. -
The only real question for the T10 RU CV would be if WG will model the ocean going tug to shadow and sail alongside said CV, as happens at the moment with their only real life CV, because it's engines keep breaking down.

These games, which just seem to be the norm experience now in Randoms, are just as demoralizing for players still learning like myself. The games just don't last long enough for you to actually learn anything. The only games in which I actually have a chance to learn something now, seem to be that very rare close fought battle, that goes down to the wire. At least then I can watch back a replay and think what could or should I have done differently.

To make money take premium ships into Operations. Narai which has just been op of the week, in Scharnhorst or any other T7 premium BB with the right flags mounted, can be very rewarding

Bots behavior now modeled after real players?
Fat_Maniac replied to Zen71_sniper's topic in General Discussion
They just need to start spamming 'I need intelligence data!' and the transformation will be complete -
Indeed, every time I think I've taken a baby step forward, in my gameplay @Dutch_Soldierfinds new ways to remind me of just how far I need to progress And when it comes to CV play @shaz1300why it's an impossible dream

Poll, reforming Daily Mission participation ship requirements
Fat_Maniac replied to DanSilverwing's topic in General Discussion
Thats true, I'd forgotten that. I was getting confused with some of the personnel assignments and other mission chains we get. i blame it on my age, I am 55 next year -

I was thinking more of the 'kill x ships' missions -

Because seal clubbing would become a real issue, as veterans flood the low tiers to easily complete the missions. Most new players probably don't realise daily Misisons exist. -
Which is exactly why I play Texas When you meet a CV noob determined to sink you its like

submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
Fat_Maniac replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
I agree on all points, but would add to point 2. The DD should be the counter but in my experience and maybe it was because the red CV was a human and our CV was a bot, most of the time, CV's provide a strong counter to the sub, even at periscope depth, I was taken out by a bomb run. The tactic of dropping the fighter squadron over you to keep you spotted works incredibility well against subs because submerged they are so slow it takes time to get out of that spotting. And any dive other than periscope depth, effectively takes you out of the game. -
submarines SUBMARINES - discussion, feedback, opinions
Fat_Maniac replied to WG_Lumberjack's topic in General Discussion
I think the negativity surrounds the homing torps. That requires the sub to get a ping lock on the intended target, making the torps in the water 'semi homing'. Get the second lock and the torps will actively track and turn, go deep and aim for the citadel of the intended target. You can then get citadel hits. Sounds bad doesn't it? Except... The sub has to position itself well to achieve the shot and get the ping locks, and .... In order to achieve the ping locks the sub reveals its position, so if the red team is ready they can kill the sub as one hit with anything practically means death. So I doubt we will see a soup of homing torps in a game as some seem to fear.
