    No, it is the other way around. They are restricted because they are OP. My point is that every ship type should be somewhat balanced so that every player has roughly the same influence on the outcome of the game. It becomes very frustrating if you see that you just won because you had a good CV player or that you just lost because you had a bad CV player. Now you do have a good influence on the outcome of the game as a DD player as long as both CV players are roughly just as good. The funny thing is, that nearly the most influence I can have on the game as a DD player is when I keep the CV player busy for the longest possible time. That means that the CV player on my team can do in the mean time all kinds of spotting and other important stuf while the enemy CV is just hunting for me. Although it is frustrating for me as a DD player to know that if the CV wants me dead, I will be dead, it is good to know that every minute longer that it takes him to kill me, it will become more likely that I will win the game (despite being dead in the end) I would say that with the current way CV's are implemented in the game it is very hard to nerve them in such a way that they have equal influence on the outcome of the game as all the other ships. Instead of nerving them, WG is making them even more OP with this support role. They also seem to make the CV's more and more powerful. That is weird if you also find it necessary to keep them very restricted.

    Reading, and understanding what you read is also something many humans can do. Edit: I already clearly stated that WG is also restricting the amount of CV's in randoms, so this is not an exclusive CB thing. Restricting things in a sport or game is done to prevent unfair advantages. Why does Formula 1 bans the use of turbo's on the car's? Because it would give an advantage to do so. Why can't you stand closer to a dartboard in a darting competition, because it gives an advantage. Nearly the only things that are banned are the things that give an advantage. Perhaps in some sports some safety reasons but that is it. You are not going to ban things that give a disadvantage.

    That speculation is what humans do. It sets us apart from many animals. We, as humans can use common logic. I can sort of predict what would happen to me when I drive with a fast car with 300 km/h against at strong concrete wall, even when I never did it before. Are you saying that you can not use logic because you did not experience something first hand? So, when it does not make sense for WG to ban weak ships in a competitive mode because people would not use weak ships anyway, the only logical conclusion to ban CV's is because they give an advantage. That is typically the reason why things are bannend in competitive gameplay. Because using the banned thing would give an advantage. If using CV's in CB would not give an advantage then they would not ban them. You have a brain. People use it for logical reasoning. You should try it out. It is amazing.

    I was not only talking about CB. Try to div up with 3 CV's in random. In general, CV's are way more restricted by WG then DD's. The reason is pretty obvious to most of us, and that is because CV's have way more impact then a DD. That is also why CV's are most of the time banned in CB. WG is not going to ban weak ships because clans would not pick weak ships anyway in a competitive mode. That is also a reason why they bannend Mushashi in the last CB. It would have to much impact. If you would pick a hybrid in the last CB then you did lose the option to have a lot of other strong ships. Why do you think they would do that? Try to use your imagination. Would they ban weak ships from a competitive mode? Why would they do that? There is no reason to ban weak ships because people would not use them anyway. No they ban CV's because they have way to much impact on the game and not every clan has good CV players. WG can only allow CV's in competitive mode if both teams have a CV. And yes there are also very strong DD's like the Smalland that was also banned in the CB before the last CB. Also because it is to strong and not everybody has it. So that is also the reason they usually ban all CV's from CB. They are usually stronger then other ships.

    Why is it then possible to have in CB a 7 DD division and not a 7 CV division? Why do you think WG puts a limit to the amount of CV's in a division and not a limit to the amount of DD in a division. Why do you think that CV's are far more banned in CB then DD's? If it is true wat you say and a CV has no more impact on a game then a DD, why would WG put all these limitations on CV's and not on DD's? WG has the most data on this game and they decide to always limit the CV's more then DD's. Why would they do that if they have just the same amount of impact on the game?

    I am not on the test server. In my game there is no longer a clan tag on my patch background and I also don't see an option to get it back. You can still see it here on the forum but no longer in the game.

    CV's are unbalanced and a bad or good CV player is almost entirely decisive for the outcome of the battle. There is a reason why it is no problem to div up with 3 DD or 3 cruisers but it is not possible to div up with 3 CV. There is a reason that in most CB playing a CV is not an option. Since it is not a balanced shiptype, it should not have a place in WoWS.

    Where are my research Points?

    A few tips that might be usefull for regrinding ships for RB points: Haragumo line is the least expensive so that is the line that I use to reset. I have level 21 captains for the Akizuki and Kitakaze. These ships are good enough to use in random battles. You can use your ship XP economic bonuses to speed up the proces. I typically only buy the Haragumo if I actualy have enough points to get a new RB ship. Otherwise I just research this ship and reset it again. This saves me a lot of credits sinds it is the most expensive ship it has the most impact. From the 10,000 RB point you get you get 6,000 points from the Haragumo, so that is the majority. If you use blue economic boosters then you can get roughly 20k ship XP for a win in random. So, 7-8 wins with blue boosters in an Akizuki should be enough to get the Kitakaze. 11-12 wins with blue boosters in a Kitakaze should give you a Haragumo. The Free XP you get for grinding this line can be used to just research the lower tiers (V - VIII). If you have enough blue economic boosters then resetting the line every 1-2 weeks should not be too hard by playing every day 2-3 games per day with this line. Of course, with green boosters it will take longer and with red it is faster.

    Trade in, new event? Good or bad?

    It only says that you can exchange certain rare or impossible to get ships for other ships. Nothing about the ability to obtain super rare or impossible to obtain ships. Sure, I would be willing to give up some rare ships that I don’t play, but that can be obtained from Christmas containers, for some ships that are otherwise impossible to obtain. That would be a great deal however that is not what I read in this blog. What I read is that you can exchange super rare ships for getting ships that you can now get in the armory already. Why would I do that?

    If people outside WG can predict that this mode will be nerved within a day of being released. How is it then possible that WG can't predict the same from their testing? Do they even test their own game? A lot of people like this mode because you can get credits and XP. Since that is over, I think it will be much less populair.
  13. We will have access to the new destroyer line during clan battles and typically WG is not going to restrict brand new ships. WG has a business that sells virtual ships and they are not going to restrict their new product in any way. So we can pick Split and Lambros Katsonis with the only restriction that you can't pick more then 2 tier 9. 4 times Split and 2 times Katsonis is completly possible. These ships have two gimmicks. The first is that it can shoot from smoke with a radar and the second is that it has very fast torps with a smaller reaction time then the Halland torps while they do the same amount of damage as the Halland torps. This is balanced with the concealment because that is bigger than a Halland. Although there is no releasedate yet, we will also get somewhere during this CB season access to Jager and Halford. So, what will be the effect of the Jager torp spammer and the hybrid DD that has planes? If you want planes then you can now pick one of the hybrid battleships but then you lose a lot of other options. With Halford that is not the case. Even if you would like to use two Halfords then that is up to you. Like I said, I don't expect any restrictions on brand new ships.

    I am waiting for Jager. Although I am not sure, I would not be surprised if that will become a RB ship.

    Is it worth coming back ?

    I often play the T-61 and it has hydro, speed boost and smoke. In my experience I kill way more subs then they kill me. I think it depends very much on the ship that you are using if you have a chance against subs or not.
  17. Of course WG did this for this obvious reason and that was clear to me from the previous announcement about supercontainers. I don't think however that this will be much different for the other tiers. I doubt we will still get 750 coal for tier 5-7 and 75 steel for tier 8 - 9. Even when it is not yet nerved this year then it will be nerved somewhere in the future.

    Anybody else having this problem at the EU server? Tried several times now. Restarted my PC. I clearly have a working internet connection.
  19. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the Pan American early access procedure. We can get a fair amount of ships for free without ridicules grinding. Besides that you can also get relatively easy a permanent economic bonus for all the ships. Further, the tokens that are required can also be bought with Free XP instead of doubloons. Sure, you can't get Tier IX and Tier X early easily without doubloons but that is fair in my opinion. If you compare this with some other early access campaigns in the past where you could only get things if you paid large amount of doubloons then this Pan American campaign is by me much appreciated.
